Voting company sues Fox, Giuliani over election fraud claims

Good. Make them face consequences.

This is delicious. I really hope that they all go bankrupt paying lawyers and damages. I really cannot decide which of them is most guilty because they all are pretty damned guilty.

This will be great if it turns out to be another Gawker situation. For those who don't know, Gawker got bankrupted from a lawsuit by Hulk Hogan when they leaked his sex tapes - and that was something he actually did. Fox "news" is screwed. I'll laugh if they end up penniless. Talk about just deserts.

Good. These grubs only understand one thing, money. Take them for all they got.

15 ( +16 / -1 )

Maybe through legal actions the pushers of fake news like Giuliani, Trump, Fox and friends, especially entertainers like Hannity and Tucker, Breitbart, Qanon and all the others in far right media will hesitate before broadcasting their blatant lies. The Supreme Court needs to re-visit what constitutes free speech and hate speech.

So all the electronic votes for Chavez were rigged

No

but the ones in the US weren’t?

Yes

It’s the same company!

No

But Putin made me say so!

Yes

4 ( +16 / -12 )

I saw newsmax shut up, the second they had a lawsuit. When can there a lawsuit on Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley? (Let us throw in Rand Paul as a freebie)

This made my day.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

It’s a private for profit company, and they have full control of the machines.

Except that A) Smartmatic wasn't involved with the disputes that Fox & Frauds have linked them to, and B) they don't have full control of the machines.

And the use of these companies is a product of Republican pushing for increased privatization of everything from prisons to police to politics.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Read the article, Smartmatic is the company that managed the national elections in Venezuela which the US declared were rigged.

Same company

No.

Rigged in one country but apparently super legit in another.

No.

But Putin told me it's true! He wouldn't lie would he?

Yes.

0 ( +11 / -11 )

Private, for profit companies should not be involved in the vote counting process.

The machines are a tool. That is all. You know, like pencils and paper, which believe it or not are manufactured by private companies trying to make a profit.

Yes. Voting tool manufacturing must be made socialist; run by the government.

Giuliani, Trump, Rep. Greene, Rep. McCarthy, Fox TV, Q Anon . . . What a bunch of crazies! The GOP tent has become the GCT (Grand Carnival Tent) as Rep. McCarthy plans yet another sleazy trip on the crazy train to Mar-a-lago to visit the Clown in Chief of Republican strategy.

Hopefully Dominion Voting Systems will be successful in suing the hell out of these slanderous nut jobs and liars.

I saw newsmax shut up, the second they had a lawsuit

Ironic. They 'cancelled' My Pillow guy's 'free speech' live on air. Where was the outcry from the far right? /s

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Newsmax are censors - they stifle free speech and aren't willing to let the truth get out. Biased fake news.

0 ( +9 / -9 )

The cancellation of the my pillow guy is another tragedy that is apart of all this.

No, it isn't. It's very easy : he can step down to save his company. It's all in his hands.

How many blue collar factory workers will be laid off because of that? And now a good quality pillow made in the USA will be scuttled for a cheaper version made in China. Americans will lose sleep, jobs, and money.

That is some hilarious TheOnion level of parody of right-wing talking points. Good job, had a good laugh.

Good job of witch-hunting anything that supported trump.

If you fill your balloon with bs you’ll get dirty when it pops.

Constantly running your mouth while spewing unsubstantiated "facts" has consequences. It would make my century to see Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and those other talking heads packing up their stuff and looking for somewhere else to put out their lies. Hope they bankrupt these clowns.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Anyone who whined about Kapernick, while supporting the My Pillow guy, is a useless moron of negative value to humanity.

-2 ( +10 / -12 )

Colin Kapernick instigated a worldwide movement of awareness of police brutality and institutionalized racism.

The My pillow guy contributed to instigate the violent and seditious invasion of a government building that led to the death of 5 american citizens.

It's not hard to see who's on the wrong side of history.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

Rigged in one country but apparently super legit in another.

You do realize there are over 3,000 counties in the US and Smartmatic, and their machines, was involved in only one county which was never disputed in any way, right?

7 ( +8 / -1 )

People marched and died for decades past to highlight institutional racism.

And seeing how many racists proudly came out of the woodworks during the Trump years, their sacrifices were unfortunately and obviously not enough. Which is why you need people like Kapernick to raise awareness on the fact that, contrary to the hypocritical and stereotypical Fox News talking point, racism hasn't "ended", and is indeed very much alive and very much a problem.

They got the money, so write the check and move on FNC.

Not as many US garment workers that could be employed of Trump made his Trump Collection clothing line in the US instead of China...

And now a good quality pillow made in the USA will be scuttled for a cheaper version made in China.

And soon to be available at Trumpstore.com...along with all the other Trump-hawked Chinese-made goods...

Americans will lose sleep, jobs, and money. Good job of witch-hunting anything that supported trump.

Read that sentence, then explain why Trump has for years been in business with China...

Trump is not the president anymore. You’re going to have to learn to talk about other things. Don’t let Trump live in your head rent free.

Weak cop out - answer the question....

Americans will lose sleep, jobs, and money. Good job of witch-hunting anything that supported trump.

So, Trump fans, do you believe Smartmatic and Dominion rigged the election to help Biden? Did they, ya know, switch votes?

My guess is that you don't believe they did, but you will say they did or "it's possible" because your beliefs take a back seat to what Trump wants you to say. Prove me wrong. Support something with no evidence or stand up to Trump.

We all know what you will choose.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

This is interesting!

Money talks, bull''&#! walks!

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Faux will probably survive, they have deep pockets.

But I look forward to Rudy and Sydney declaring bankruptcy .

Karma is a witch, as they say.....

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Naw, libs are mad that they continue to fail at getting FNC off the air. Guess the 1st amendment sucks for them. They tried this with that smart genius Anita Dunn, that failed and they’re now trying and failing again.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

Good. Sue the stink out of all these crooked and kooky enablers that promoted "The Big Lie"...

Make them grovel like Lou Dobbs had to do...force them to tell their viewers that they were lying to them all along...

Make them grovel like Lou Dobbs had to do...force them to tell their viewers that they were lying to them all along...

Ahhh, I see, so just force them to say something to appease liberals...well, so much for freedom of speech. Hey, I don’t like what you say or how you think, change it and say what I want or I’ll pull the trigger. Nice, nice very mafioso style.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

Ahhh, I see, so just force them to say something to appease liberals

Nope, just force them to admit they were shamelessly lying.

Well that a refreshing admission....rather than have these right-wing liars admit to their viewers that they were scamming and telling them blatant falsehoods, you'd prefer that they just continue to lie...

Best example I've seen yet of the far-right media bubble creating a fantasy world and feeding on itself...

Thanks for admitting it...

The lawsuit alleges that Fox went along with the “well-orchestrated dance” due to pressure from newcomer outlets such as Newsmax and One America News, which were stealing away conservative, pro-Trump viewers.

Sounds plausible. After years of successfully cultivating moronism you don’t want your morons having their heads turned by new players in the market.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Guess the 1st amendment sucks for them

The 1st Amendment does not protect libel. The media companies and individuals being sued libeled two companies and spread a false narrative in order to overturn a legitimate election. That sort of conduct cannot go unpunished or representative government will not long survive. Nor can it survive if politicians cannot lose gracefully or refuse to accept the outcome of an election. There is a great deal more at stake than some silly partisan score keeping. The fundamental qualities of what made the US so successful are under attack.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Some might worry that this will have a chilling effect on the media. If it encourages them to verify that their content is factual and to refrain from airing agitprop, propaganda and conspiracy theories - or hosting guests who do - then it will be welcome.

You would think that this is already the case but there is so much disinformation out there because it fills their pockets. I have long taken an issue with certain media outlets knowingly leaving out information, stretching or twisting the truth or downright lying. While we have to make sure that they can report the truth and facts no matter how uncomfortable those make people, I have no issue with there being repercussions for outlets that are rather economical with the truth.

No Trump supporters willing to go on record agreeing that these companies altered the results?
