Trump is the best vote for Trump .....Clinton = jail

http://nypost.com/2012/09/28/fauxcahontas-latest-lame-excuse/

But the backstory never changes. Warren, an Oklahoma native, was going nowhere in her career until she began “checking the box,” claiming to be an Indian with absolutely no evidence. Once she began listing herself in a minority law-school directory as a woman of color, she catapulted first to the University of Pennsylvania law school, and then to Harvard. And as soon as she had tenure, Warren abruptly stopped listing herself as a Native-American. Now she claims she’s “Okie to her toes.” She always points out she never marked the box when applying to college (the University of Houston) or law school (Rutgers). But that proves the point: She never got close to a top-tier school ’til she started exploiting affirmative action.

Even 4 years later Pocahontas/fauxcahontas is sticking to her "Native American" roots story. -and people think Hillary is a great liar. Maybe everyone should check the "minority" affirmative action boxes.

I wish this whole election would be brought forward by about 4 months, so we don't have to listen to or read about (even if it is just headlines) "the man with the wig" much longer. Its repetitive, boring, un-newsworthy.

6 ( +12 / -6 )

"[Conservative radio host and columnist Howie Carr] then put his hand up to his mouth and mimicked a stereotypical Native American war cry — the same call that Trump supporters sometimes let fly when Trump mentions Warren at his events. That’s because Trump regularly refers to Warren as “Pocahontas,” for her claim that she is part Native American." - article

Please explain how this makes Donald J. Trump fans proud of themselves?

5 ( +10 / -5 )

Trump can't string thoughts together rationally. He is scary. It is like his thoughts are zooming around in his brain, uncontrolled, bouncing off of his skull first one way and then the other.

12 ( +17 / -5 )

She’s the racist. She’s the racist,

Eight words, one more than the usual limit of seven set by the sloganeers for the hard of thinking, but easy to remember nonetheless. So expect to hear it repeated often.

The bigotry blatantly Trumpeted by the right wing reactionaries this election is sickening, and clearly shows the race problems the US has. The only bit of positivity I can see is that some in the right are getting defensive and bristling at being called racist, suggesting they see racism as a negative. The recognition of having a problem is the first step to solving it.

Sadly, though, I seriously doubt that the dozens of millions of white nationalists are willing to accept their bigotry is one of the biggest problems the country has. They yearn for the mythical days of the US - that never were. 'Make America great again' (euphemism for 'keep WASPs in power') could start by having the racists accept they are a huge part of the problem dividing the country. Realizing that groups like BLM and La Raza and others fighting to protect their rights as US citizens exist because of institutional racism should be included in that start. Unless the racists are terminally hard of thinking.

5 ( +11 / -6 )

“‘You never hear me apologize, do you?’” Trump added, according to Carr. “That’s what killed Jimmy the Greek way back. Remember? He was doing OK ‘til he said he was sorry.”

The racist core of Donald J. Trump revealed . . .

"It was a reference to Jimmy “The Greek” Snyder, a sports commentator who was fired from CBS after saying that black athletes were “bred” to be better athletes than whites when they were slaves."

Now, let the good Trump fan offer why Trump's most candid words are sugar glazed with a noble racism only the rich can afford.

America's President?

A man who cannot change any aspect of his racist appeal?

In public, and now private conversation, Trump's character is revealed.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

I’ve tried to be as factual as possible and really to say things that millions are saying privately

Isn't that a contradiction? There tends to be very little fact in the stuff people whisper to like minds behind closed doors - stuff they can't say out loud because they know it's wrong

8 ( +13 / -5 )

What cracks me up about racist and liberal hypocrites, these people say they are loving, caring and tolerant and they're anything but! They are fascists, pure and simple,

Sadly, though, I seriously doubt that the dozens of millions of white nationalists are willing to accept their bigotry is one of the biggest problems the country has.

Oh, please! The entire race debate started when Eric Holder made that insidious comment that we are a nation of cowards and Obama that Evangelicals love clinging to their guns and religions, now if those aren't racist statements, I really don't know what is.

They yearn for the mythical days of the US - that never were. 'Make America great again' (euphemism for 'keep WASPs in power')

No, it just means, purging the country of PC and liberalism bias overkill.

could start by having the racists accept they are a huge part of the problem dividing the country.

Sure, you have a bit of that as well, I agree, but you have MORE hate and intolerance on the left.

Realizing that groups like BLM and La Raza and others fighting to protect their rights as US citizens exist because of institutional racism should be included in that start. Unless the racists are terminally hard of thinking.

You just did NOT make that laughable comment! That's like a White person saying groups like the KKK and Aryan nations are fighting the forces of institutionalized racism and protecting the rights of US citizens. Come on now.....

-20 ( +5 / -25 )

They are fascists

I don't think that word means what you think it does.

The entire race debate started when Eric Holder made that insidious comment that we are a nation of cowards and Obama that Evangelicals love clinging to their guns and religions, now if those aren't racist statements, I really don't know what is.

Then I guess you really don't know what is, because those aren't.

purging the country of PC

And replacing it with Republican PC talk.

7 ( +14 / -7 )

"racist and liberal hypocrites, these people say they are loving, caring and tolerant and they're anything but! They are fascists, pure and simple" - comments

A journalist's creed if ever one was writ.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

adding that the comment wasn’t intended as a criticism of Judaism

Of course not. He was just saying that you need to be Christian to be President. Maybe you're Jewish, or Muslim, and that's fine, but they're all equally disqualified for the office. Jews are just as wrong as the others.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

"At a news conference later that month, Trump said he was unaware of what Burns had said about Sanders. ("Bernie Sanders, who doesn’t believe in God") “I didn’t hear this. When did he say this?” he asked. “I didn’t hear anything about it. ... Let me find out about it.”

Donald J. Trump never heard a racist he didn't hear he didn't like.

Trump's Campaign is a puddle of wallowing lowest common denominators.

When the Public reaches the end of Trump's fraud, they end up with Trump. A fraud.

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

Donald J. Trump never heard a racist he didn't hear he didn't like.

And liberals such as Obama and Holder that have consistently and routinely used race as a wedge and leverage to politicize a point is absolutely disgusting and more reason why the country needs to come together and that can't happen as long as these people are in power.

Trump's Campaign is a puddle of wallowing lowest common denominators.

Because he's calling foul on racial and radical PC?

-17 ( +5 / -22 )

liberals such as Obama and Holder that have consistently and routinely used race as a wedge and leverage to politicize a point

Last time you made this fantasy claim, I asked you to show one quote of Obama's that was racist. Just one. And you came up with zero.

9 ( +14 / -5 )

A man who cannot change any aspect of his racist appeal?

Why then are so many real minorities, including black ministers and Cherokee activists outraged over the offensive heritage claims of a blond, blue eyed Bostonian appropriating a Native American identity and disrespecting tribal sovereignty by claiming to be a "woman of color?" Passing yourself off as a Cherokee for most of your adult life in part because of the "high cheekbones" of some close relatives is not ethnic fraud and racism wrapped up in one ? Must be nice to be a liberal Democrat. Elizabeth Warren is the biggest fraud in American politics today.

-9 ( +4 / -13 )

Last time you made this fantasy claim, I asked you to show one quote of Obama's that was racist. Just one. And you came up with zero.

He did, however, once attribute a Rick Ross quote to President Obama. Among many other factual distortions. But extreme ideologues and partisans gonna be extreme ideologues and partisans, aren't they.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

So everyone including Warren hates Wall Street, they including Warren feel there`s too much money in politics and they (including Warren) think there is too much corruption going on. Why then are they voting for Clinton? and why is Warren campaigning for Clinton? Sounds like voters in the US have no idea. Stuuuuupiiiid!!!

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Carr is also selling a “FAUXCAHONTAS Elizabeth Warren Graphic Tee” via his website. “Complete with bedraggled war bonnet - and high cheekbones. When you’re wearing this shirt you won’t need smoke signals to tell everyone that you’ve figured out this is one squaw who speaks with a forked tongue,” reads the description. “Don’t wait many moons, order today, before buffalo disappear from the prairie!”

Conservative radio host and columnist Howie Carr, opening for Donald Trump, has no claim anything he is presenting is anything except more racist support for Donald J. Trump.

Reading how Carr sells prejudice against Native Americans printed on Chinese tee-shirts in support of Donald J. Trump the mystery of Trump's voter base evaporates. It's just racists and bigots from here on out.

130 days of pathetic racism brought to Americans every night by the GOP-tea.

Unless . . . Trump gets booted at Cleveland? Naw, the GOP-tea hasn't the guts to stop selling AR-15's to No-Fly and Watch List threats.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

"He then put his hand up to his mouth and mimicked a stereotypical Native American war cry — the same call that Trump supporters sometimes let fly when Trump mentions Warren at his events."

Utter trash. Real low-life crap.

This lot would find watching pro wrestling elitist.

8 ( +12 / -4 )

Why then are so many real minorities, including black ministers and Cherokee activists outraged over the offensive heritage claims of a blond, blue eyed Bostonian appropriating a Native American identity and disrespecting tribal sovereignty by claiming to be a "woman of color?"

Who are these "many" real minorities? They seem to be the minority among minorities.

If your parents and grandparents told you you had Native American blood all your life, wouldn't you just take them at their word? And really, which is worse, claiming you're 1/32 Native American due to an honest mistake, or implying that all Mexican immigrants are rapists or criminals? I'm sorry, but this is why it's hard to take you guys seriously.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Utter trash. Real low-life crap

Yeah, but I was thinking this way too years ago when Mr. Obama said, "You can put lipstick on a pig . . . " Don't you just hate the hypocrisy there? He can say x,y,z. But that guy says x,y,z -it can't fly.

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

So everyone including Warren hates Wall Street, they including Warren feel there`s too much money in politics and they (including Warren) think there is too much corruption going on. Why then are they voting for Clinton? and why is Warren campaigning for Clinton? Sounds like voters in the US have no idea. Stuuuuupiiiid!!!

Maybe because Republicans are even worse when it comes to money in politics, and they have the added baggage of being wrong on gay marriage, abortion, and social issues? Duh!

Yeah, but I was thinking this way too years ago when Mr. Obama said, "You can put lipstick on a pig . . . "

If it wasn't obvious to you back then, it should be now. Look at Sarah Palin since then. She's an incomprehensible opportunist and a terrible person overall. She had no business being that close to the White House. Obama was talking about her as an individual, and he was right. Trump and his pathetic followers are insulting entire ethnic groups.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

So the only thing Trump supporters can think of to attack Warren is that at some point in her past she said that she had some native ancestry? And this may not be true?

Seriously? THAT makes you mad, but the fact that every other word coming out of Trumps mouth is a bald-faced lie doesnt bother you?

Oh and how about Trump lying about his own ancestry? In his book he claimed to have Swedish ancestry, which is not true.

But thats the difference between Trump and Warren. Warren gives speeches about policies and demonstrates that she actually understands things. What she doesn`t do is hire radio personalities to do a Swedish Chef impersonation at rallies and used that as her central criticism of "Lying Swede Trump", or whatever name Trump would come up with for himself if he was running a campaign against himself.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Trump and his pathetic followers are insulting entire ethnic groups.

So they should wear the shoes. If you're an illegal mexican. . . why are you breaking the law? Go home. Find a legal in.

As far as a Temp ban on Muslims, what's the big deal? What is their major rush to get onto American soil? They can wait until we can figure out whats going on.

We need to control our borders, turn back Trojan Horses. . . . The American people should be looking at Brexit as a fine example of common sense, integrity, security and self-reliance.

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

He did, however, once attribute a Rick Ross quote to President Obama. Among many other factual distortions. But extreme ideologues and partisans gonna be extreme ideologues and partisans, aren't they.

Sure, ok....look, if liberals want to believe that, they can, some people believe Elvis is still alive and that's their right, even if it borders on pure lunacy. Obama is popular with his base as well as Hillary, but that doesn't mean, the majority of Americans trust this WH or Hillary, since her untrustworthiness is in the toilet and very close to Trump's.

Seriously? The woman that claims to be Native American just a few years ago had a different about Hillary...

https://youtu.be/m7O3rE3H1HY

Again, Dems have No shame when it comes to ethics, lying to this WH comes naturally, amazing. This is another clear indication that these politicians are full of BS, now all of a sudden Hillary and Liz are best buddies? You just can't get lower or dirtier!

-12 ( +3 / -15 )

"The American people should be looking at Brexit as a fine example of common sense, integrity, security and self-reliance." - comments

Except for the financial cratering and former leaders immediately turning their backs on BRexit?

Where did the Trump-aholics think they were going to run away to? One of Donald's 'Champagne Rooms'?

Trump will drop the dirty racists and bigots in the trash just as Trump did to Disabled American Veterans Trump threatened and removed from Trump Tower in New York.

Or, Trump will appoint dirty racists and bigots to carry out his designs on Dictatorship.

The disturbing part is Trump runs a blatantly prejudiced Campaign and some still cheer him here.

1 ( +5 / -4 )

They can wait until we can figure out whats going on.

Please tell us, what does this mean? What points need to be accomplished in order to determine that 'what's going on' has been figured out. Qualify this statement please, because right now it's just a Republican PC talking point devoid of any meaning.

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

So they should wear the shoes. If you're an illegal mexican. . . why are you breaking the law? Go home. Find a legal in.

That's a fair view. But where's the condemnation of the American corporations and industries that practically invite them to work their factories and farms? And the average Americans that enjoy the benefits of it? Trump doesn't imply they're all rapists and criminals, because that would insult and anger the wrong people.

As far as a Temp ban on Muslims, what's the big deal? What is their major rush to get onto American soil? They can wait until we can figure out whats going on.

The rush is that many of them literally don't have a home to go back to.

We need to control our borders, turn back Trojan Horses. . . .

Of course we need to take the proper measures and be careful, but turning away people based on religion or ethnicity goes against everything America was founded on. Unless you're Native American, we're all immigrants.

The American people should be looking at Brexit as a fine example of common sense, integrity, security and self-reliance.

Please... Talk about brash action without thinking things through.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

The rush is that many of them literally don't have a home to go back to.

So you're saying out of the 49 or so Muslim countries, NONE of them can accommodate these refugees? They can't take in their own people? What a load of hogwash!

Of course we need to take the proper measures and be careful, but turning away people based on religion or ethnicity goes against everything America was founded on. Unless you're Native American, we're all immigrants.

I don't mind and I think we should help people, but it should be done on a legal basis and just allow anyone to come in and count in line of the people that have followed the law and rules of legal immigration, these people should come first.

The American people should be looking at Brexit as a fine example of common sense, integrity, security and self-reliance.

I wholeheartedly, agree with that!

-8 ( +5 / -13 )

Qualify this statement please

It means ISIS is NOT contained. It means the FBI and DHS need to go into the think tank. It means islamic brides from ME need to scrutinized and investigated. But basically, it just means we should be using common sense.

If there is another Ebola outbreak, prudence demands we temp ban travelers from Liberia and Africa's west coast.

Unless you're Native American, we're all immigrants.

That's also a fair view. But it still doesn't mean we open our borders to thousands of islamic refugees. Especially the healthy, young , bearded men with ISIS black flags on their smartphone's screen savers. Or the Tashfeen Maliks, who pose as "peaceful" "devout" muslims but who really have hell to unleash.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

So you're saying out of the 49 or so Muslim countries, NONE of them can accommodate these refugees? They can't take in their own people?

So if there were Mexican refugees you'd be willing to take them in as your own, since they are also from a Christian country, right?

1 ( +8 / -7 )

Muslims? Illegal immigration? Brexit? Hilary Clinton? Sorry, where's the relevance in any of this?

5 ( +6 / -1 )

So if there were Mexican refugees you'd be willing to take them in as your own, since they are also from a Christian country, right?

But isn't the USA already doing enough for these people? Mexico has been crapping on the US for a while. If there were masses of Mexican refugees, the Vatican City should put its money where it's mouth is and lower their very own draw-bridge over the moat.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

Trump's racism has the KKK becoming strong again.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Trump's campaigners sound more like the old wrestling managers from the past that used to cut a 3 minute promo of an upcoming match literally foaming at the mouth and deriding their opponent.

Kind of amusing on a puroresu show, but in real life, not so funny.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Maybe Wc626 should put his money where his mouth is and tell us more about that active shooter at Andrews Air Force Base he was blabbering about on the July 4 travel thread. It turned out to be a normally scheduled drill.

Wasn't it FDR who said "All we have to fear is fear itself"?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

I think everyone should be vetted, but when it comes to Muslim refugees, I would definitely call for tougher restrictions and more profiling on the basis that we are dealing with a certain group of people that follow a radical version of Islam and sees us as infidels and would do anything to kill us. That's not racist, that's being cautious. Ask the Israelis, they understand this.

-10 ( +3 / -13 )

How can they know Elizabeth Warren isn't native American? If she's only claiming 1/32 ancestry it's impossible to verify through DNA testing, and oral familiy histories turn out to be true more often than not for those who are lucky enough to have direct evidence of their ancestry. I'm a direct decedent of King Philip the Handsome of Castile, but unfortunately I only have my good looks to prove it.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

It turned out to be a normally scheduled drill.

Good. I didn't want radical islam to tally up more points on US soil. Good to see they are conducting these sort of drills and training.

Perhaps they should be doing this nationwide. Times Square, LAX, O'Hare international, Disneyworld etc. It's the new norm. . . . but hey don't blame me, I didn't vote for "change."

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

@MrBum,

You reply was a ridiculous attempt at defending them. Typical.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Trump's racism has the KKK becoming strong again

Sorry, it wasn't Trump, more or less it was the media that keeps propping up the KKK as if they are a strong and relevant force. Their bark is worse than their bite and there's no difference between them and the anti-fascist that support the far left crowd are all a bunch of idiot losers, they can beat the crap out of each other for all I care.

-6 ( +4 / -10 )

"The American people should be looking at Brexit as a fine example of common sense, integrity, security and self-reliance."

The 'leader' of the of the Brexit campaign has just been stabbed in the front by a cannibalistic cohort. They are running around with their heads up their arses.

Common sense? Integrity? Self-reliance? Security? I'd settle for sanity.

The election of Trump would see chaos and insanity of an unthinkable scale.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

At this point and time, I don't think we should or at least we have to limit the amount of refugees, if we allow everyone in, you are looking at millions of people and I think we are better off assisting them in other ways to support the Mexican people than to just take them in and further burden the system.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

“‘You never hear me apologize, do you?’” Trump added, according to Carr. “That’s what killed Jimmy the Greek way back. Remember? He was doing OK ‘til he said he was sorry.”

Reminds me of that David Brent line from The Office:

"That's not offensive. That's the dog's name [N***er]. It was the forties as well, before racism was bad."

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Elizabeth Warren could wipe the floor with Trump in a debate on any topic, and he perfectly well knows this. She has a formidable intellect & command of serious issues which puts his childish name calling into even starker perspective.

Please do not make this charmless moron your president, my American friends.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Trump doesn't need tone-deaf, xenophobic, Anglo-centric aids to dig his own grave; he's perfectly capable of doing it himself. Here how he expressed is his bountiful wisdom following the terror attack in Istanbul:

Well it’s not the American way to have heads chopped off and have people drowning in steel changes. And so we can have a our disagreements, but we’re going to have to get much tougher as a country. We’re going to have to be a lot sharper and we’re going to have to do things that are unthinkable almost. Unthinkable, when you look at what’s happening to us, when you look at what’s going on in this country and throughout the world and we don’t want, you know they’re allowed to cut off heads and they’re allowed to chop off heads and we can’t waterboard. So people can have disagreements, but I feel we have to get much, much, stronger, tougher and smarter.

At least he qualified "unthinkable" with "almost" - but then again, it depends on who is doing the thinking.

By the way, the idea that America lets refugees simply waltz in to the country is a true red herring. The current vetting process takes approximately two years.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Elizabeth Warren could wipe the floor with Trump in a debate on any topic,

Lol, the other 17 strong professional GOP heavyweights thought so too and Trump completely annihilated them. If they couldn't, I seriously doubt that woman can.

and he perfectly well knows this.

Actually, I don't think he cares just like with the others.

She has a formidable intellect & command of serious issues which puts his childish name calling into even starker perspective.

Not to mention a flip flopper just like Hillary.

Please do not make this charmless moron your president, my American friends

Ahhhh...I know you're talking about Hillary, admit it!

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

"She has a formidable intellect & command of serious issues which puts his childish name calling into even starker perspective."

"Not to mention a flip flopper just like Hillary."

Come on, Bass. Everyone is allowed to their mind. You thought Trump supporters were a lunatic fringe up until a few months ago.

Warren does possess an impressive mind. I can't imagine her making whooping noises at a Trump rally.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

Racist racist racist. That's all the left can say because they are not informed enough to debate real issues.

-5 ( +4 / -9 )

@pointofview

No, I don't have a time machine. I'm basing this prediction on the divisive nature of Trump as he plays on the fault lines. This campaign has been a dinner bell for racists and bigots ( I'm not convinced Trump is a racist or a bigot but he'll spout that kind of trashy crap to get elected ) and that is a real danger.

Trump would destroy Warren in a debate? With what? A puerile nickname? Whooping noises? A knob joke?

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Come on, Bass. Everyone is allowed to their mind. You thought Trump supporters were a lunatic fringe up until a few months ago.

As a voter, I think it's ok and perfectly normal to change your mind to feel comfortable with the candidate you like or think would make a good leader. As far as the candidates are concerned, someone like Hillary that has a history of changing her positions more times than a roadrunner running away from a coyote.

Warren does possess an impressive mind. I can't imagine her making whooping noises at a Trump rally.

Impressive? Gee, how? She's just a Bernie Sanders in a dress.

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

Bass4funk: "That's not racist,"

Yes it is, any way you slice it. And it's funny you mention asking the Jews: they know about it alright, and were forced to wear yellow stars, much like Trump wants Muslims to carry cards and be identifiable. You can call that "for caution", if you like, but we know what it is.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

"As a voter, I think it's ok and perfectly normal to change your mind to feel comfortable with the candidate you like or think would make a good leader. As far as the candidates are concerned, someone like Hillary that has a history of changing her positions more times than a roadrunner running away from a coyote."

Put your non-partisan, Washington Post journalist hat on for a moment and take a look at Trump. He changes positions in a flash after he realises his rabble-rousing quip is just bananas. Check out his past positions on things he's roaring to his whooping clowns.

Warren is a highly intelligent woman. Some people value that. Not the GOP, but some people do.

By the way, thanks for quoting my post. I made a mistake. It should have read "people are allowed to change their minds".

Whoops! Sorry, another mistake. Make that "Whoop!"

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Gee, I'd like to get a cushy position at a famous university by claiming (without proof) that I am part native American...

-11 ( +2 / -13 )

@pointofview

You reply was a ridiculous attempt at defending them. Typical.

No, it was a logical conclusion. Much like the conclusion that Trump is racist based on his own words.

Warren is a hypocrite. Hates Wall Street and now endorses a Wall Street candidate.

She doesn't hate Wall Street. She wants to regulate it and hates those who would oppose regulation and destroy the economy... again. As dodgy as Clinton's relations with Wall Street are, apparently Warren thinks she's a better alternative than Trump. Based on her record and your comments, I think she's better informed than you.

Trump would destroy her in a debate.

Do you have a time machine to know such things?

Shell just make blanket statements like, racist, xenophobe etc. That's all she ever says.

Again, it's the only logical conclusion based on his words. But if you think America needs a racist president, that's up to you.

That's all she ever says.

No, that's not all she ever says, but news flash, we're coming up on an election right now and that should be a damning argument against any opponent. But for some reason, it's not a problem with his fans. I wonder why... She could talk about his other policies, but really, what are they? FYI, making everything great and winning again is not policy.

@bassfunk

Lol, the other 17 strong professional GOP heavyweights thought so too and Trump completely annihilated them.

Heavyweights? Who? Cruz? Rubio? Ben Carson? Oh wait, let me guess, Jeb! LOL! Admit it, your line up stunk this time around.

Impressive? Gee, how? She's just a Bernie Sanders in a dress.

One of the few times I agree with you. And yes, they're both impressive. For one thing, the only thing you guys seem to have on her is her 1/32 ancestry claim. Talk about a non-issue.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Gee, I'd like to get a cushy position at a famous university by claiming (without proof) that I am part native American...

We've been through this before. Warren never - not once - claimed ancestry as a way to either enter a university or obtain a job. I challenge you to back up your statement with any shred of evidence.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Yes it is, any way you slice it.

No, I don't think so.

And it's funny you mention asking the Jews: they know about it alright, and were forced to wear yellow stars, much like Trump wants Muslims to carry cards and be identifiable. You can call that "for caution", if you like, but we know what it is

Sorry, Trump never called for or advocated to displace and ship Muslims off to camps for a final solution. That correlation wasn't even close. But nice try.

Put your non-partisan, Washington Post journalist hat on for a moment and take a look at Trump. He changes positions in a flash after he realises his rabble-rousing quip is just bananas.

Sure, he does, he's all over the place! very true, but I give him slack ONLY because he's new to this and is not seasoned yet, but Hillary on the other hand is an experienced politician (as well as slick and cunning) and being in the public eye for almost 40 years, I've seen more than my share of how sneaky the Clinton's, so NO, she doesn't get a past based on her being a professional politician.

Heavyweights? Who? Cruz? Rubio? Ben Carson? Oh wait, let me guess, Jeb! LOL! Admit it, your line up stunk this time around.

Hmmm...really? And your side had...a 74 year old socialist, a guy that voted to tax the rain, a guy who was a very confused Democrat that was really a closet conservative and a habitual liar, not to mention low ratings and low public attendance.

One of the few times I agree with you. And yes, they're both impressive.

Really, how so?

For one thing, the only thing you guys seem to have on her is her 1/32 ancestry claim. Talk about a non-issue.

No, there's a treasure of goodies the right can throw at her, including her bogus claim to be Native American.

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

Racist racist racist. That's all the left can say because they are not informed enough to debate real issues.

Ha. I bet if you put them all in one room it would resemble a scene out of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

Go Trump!

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

No, I don't think so.

Why?

a 74 year old socialist, a guy that voted to tax the rain, a guy who was a very confused Democrat that was really a closet conservative and a habitual liar, not to mention low ratings and low public attendance.

Some actual evidence to support these statements would be nice. Some actual evidence from non-partisan sources would be even better.

No, there's a treasure of goodies the right can throw at her, including her bogus claim to be Native American.

Let's have them then.

By donating to the Clinton Foundation.

Yeah, because it's not like all the racist crap Trump spouts could actually be racist, or that the fact that racists love him means that the things he says appeals to racists.

1 ( +7 / -6 )

Hmmm...really? And your side had...a 74 year old socialist, a guy that voted to tax the rain

That 74 year old socialist had the highest favorable opinions in every poll and drew the biggest crowds of any candidate. Unfortunately, the current primary system doesn't accommodate new voters.

Really, how so?

I already gave you one reason. You should know the rest working in media.

No, there's a treasure of goodies the right can throw at her, including her bogus claim to be Native American.

If you have it, bring it. The Native American thing is a little desperate. And really, a Trump fan caring about bogus claims? You're too funny.

He then put his hand up to his mouth and mimicked a stereotypical Native American war cry

Maybe this guy could warm up the crowd before Trump's Supreme Court nominee announcement.

"Sure, he does, he's all over the place! very true, but I give him slack ONLY because he's new to this and is not seasoned yet, but Hillary on the other hand is an experienced politician (as well as slick and cunning) and being in the public eye for almost 40 years, I've seen more than my share of how sneaky the Clinton's, so NO, she doesn't get a past based on her being a professional politician."

Not seasoned yet? He's pushing 70. He'd better get a move on. You make him sound like he's on OJT. So when he grows out of his short pants and stops pulling them down in public he'll be ready to become the most powerful politician on the planet dealing with complex issues requiring experience, diplomacy, knowledge and a cool head?

It almost sounds cute. Yes, he's a loudmouth and comes out with half-baked nonsense but he's new. It's understandable. It's worth noting that the rightists, you included, were having a go at Obama for his lack of experience for the job. By your description, Trump isn't even toilet trained yet.

We are talking about the President of the US here, not a high school kid on his first shift at Denny's.

Warren never - not once - claimed ancestry as a way to either enter a university or obtain a job.

The hiring files haven't been released but she clearly tried to benefit from the false claim by listing herself under the minority section of a law teachers for-hire directory. Both Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania certainly benefited by counting her as a diversity faculty in government filings and touting her status as the one Native American law professor at every opportunity.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Like Clinton is any better. You guys are naive. Trump is noisy and a loose cannon but he knows how to run a tight ship when it comes down to things. He acts the way he does now because that's what will motivate people to vote, one way or the other.

Clinton takes money from enemies of the US, foreign governments, huge corporations that are completely at odds with what most democrat voters would consider acceptable. The Clinton Foundation was recently hacked and donation records were leaked showing some pretty despicable campaign donations from despicable nations and companies.

Most democrat voters I know are against making more big pipelines and damaging the environment. Better not vote Hillary then - look at who gave her millions of dollars. Hillary also supports fracking, probably the most damaging thing humans have ever done to this planet - worse than surface nuclear tests even. It causes earthquakes and fault ruptures over entire states. Hillary wants more of this.

Not to mention she erased all her emails regarding the middle east scandal, and not to mention her email server was illegal in the first place. Clinton is already a criminal and should be in jail - if she were anyone other than a Clinton she would already be in jail.

Don't vote for Clinton simply because you're used to seeing her on TV. The woman is positively wicked, totally evil. If you don't like Trump, vote for the Libertarians or another candidate.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

It fear it would be a terrible mistake to think that there is not a huge portion of the public who love everything about Donald Trump. Thinking that what is happening at this moment in time is not possible makes it easier for him to achieve what he is trying to do; to make himself more powerful and richer than any scam artist in human history.

In the 1960s I traveled throughout Germany, both East and West. What I found out in Germany, from direct, personal contact, was that Mr. Hitler, as ridiculous as he seemed to me in retrospect, was still, in the 1960s, adored and loved by many everyday Germans. It is, I believe, thus with Mr. Trump. While many of us may be shocked and outraged by his behavior, and think that he is ridiculous in every way, there are many others for whom his antics and message are like manna from heaven. and who are entranced by everything he says. If we want to prevent what happened in Germany 80 years ago, or in the USSR 90 years ago, from happening in the States now, we must take Mr. Trump and his surrogates very seriously, and work very hard to keep him from seizing more personal power than Caesar, Hitler, or any other tyrant ever dreamed of achieving.

Trump's tight ship of fools is headed by a man going to prison on forty million in fraud charges.

Trump's tight ship is praised by David Duke, Holocaust Denier.

Tight? Try racists ready to riot for hate to please Trump. Sick.

Lizz, frankly, the very fact that we're forced to have this conversation is further proof of the intellectual bankruptcy of the Republican Party.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Let's go back to the fact that some people seem to like Trump because he's not a politician. Isn't that like backing a football player who has never played football or a cook who hasn't cooked anything? Ok, some also don't like Clinton but she is light years ahead of Trump in knowing what to do. If for some weird reason (like Hillary dropping dead), Trump became POTUS, he would probably be impeached by December! So time to focus on reality America and do what is necessary.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Well, once November comes we're going to see how corrupt and mentally ill our country's citizens are. I've lost all hope.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

I don't like Trump. But I do think that he is a better choice for president than Clinton for many reasons - the most simple reason being on the simple basis that he is not a criminal and he's not under investigation for criminal acts.

I cannot even begin to comprehend how so many people are willing to overlook the woman's history of criminal behavior and pathological lying. Her blatant lie to a crowd about coming under sniper fire after being dropped off in a helicopter in eastern Europe was too much for me (Video surfaced of the alleged sniper fire, it turns out she was greeted by diplomats and red carpet and there was absolutely no security disturbance at all)

Then there is the issue of a woman as corrupt as Clinton deciding who will be appointed to the supreme court. You cannot be serious. Does nobody else see the incredible conflict of interest? The woman is at this very moment being investigated at the federal level for serious crimes. How in the world should she be allowed to decide who sits on the supreme court bench!?

People have gotten so polarized by both candidates that their brains have stopped functioning rationally, it is pathetic. Use your heads people.

Most of Trump's ideas on Islam will never come to fruition (Congress will stop it) and immigration will probably become more strict. Bureaucratic useless nonsense like the TSA will probably disappear and be replaced with something that actually works properly. Trump is a businessman - he knows how to make things work right. When things don't work right, he fixes them or cuts them loose. I think that Trump would likely surround himself with a large staff of advisors who will probably be very politically left leaning.

You people seem to forget that Trump has been on the left wing of politics for decades. He's only running as a republican now because it was the best way for him to get to the top. He did not make billions of dollars by being stupid.

Again, I don't like him much, but I do think he's probably what the US needs for 4 years to do some surgery on the mess that Obama and previous presidents created.

Don't vote for an outright criminal - Clinton is just a half step away from being a mafia goon. The FBI are hovering over her 24/7, who knows when she will be arrested.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Trump became POTUS, he would probably be impeached by December! So time to focus on reality America and do what is necessary.

And there is a guaranteed attempt to impeach Hillary. She is meeting with the meeting with the FBI this Saturday so we should know more after that.

"Trump is a businessman - he knows how to make things work right. " - comments

So far Trump business bankruptcies and current Federal and State fraud charges for forty million in damages seem excellent examples that Trump knows how to make things work right.

More to the point of Trump's racism, Conservative radio host and columnist Howie Carr, opening for Donald Trump at a presidential campaign rally in Maine, has confirmed Trump is unable to see anything but race and religion as a target for hate. (see article for Carr's quote of Trump on Jimmy the Greek)

Of course, racism and prejudice has been enshrined in Trump's Campaign to 'Make America Hate Again'.

The sad part?

The assumed Americans who post racism, with the right intent, is all America needs to return to Trump's vision of hateness.

Mocking Native Americans because Trump failed to use Florida Native Americans to sucker another gambling house under the Trump banner, is the mark of a racist grudge Trump will never be able to wash out of the public's perception, like his hair dye shades.

At the core of Trump is the 100% endorsement of racism and prejudice for Trump's personal profit.

Trump's fans are all too pleased to cheer. Why? Because Trump validates their ignorance and hatred.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Rise of Trump=fall of America.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Notice that Warren did not sue any of her detractors for slander when they accused her of obtaining favorable hiring conditions by claiming she was part native American. If she would have sued for slander, the defendants would have access to her personnel file at Harvard under the rules of discovery. She is a fraud. Period.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Right, let's go with the guy who claims to have seen tens of thousands of Muslims cheering on TV on 9/11 because we can't have liars who check a box for Native American when they are just going by what their family said.

And obviously doing a fake "war chant" and calling her Pocahontas is just childish behavior from grown men. It doesn't reflect well on the GOP or Trump supporters, and quite frankly I'm surprised more people here don't try to distance themselves from such comments. They seem to enjoy it.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

"Trump supporters, and quite frankly I'm surprised more people here don't try to distance themselves from such comments. They seem to enjoy it." - comments

No one likes a timid bigot. Trump proves that daily.

Pride in prejudice simply confirms the ignorance of Trump's followers.

Mocking Native Americans is easy for the bigot.

The bigot is so far superior to the suffering and injustice done to Native Americans mocking them is the bigot's idea of justice.

The bigot mocks the weak because it makes the bigot feel strong to humiliate people who have never done the bigot any real harm.

Donald J. Trump has perfected this belief in demanding it of his followers.

Given a chance Trump will teach an entire generation to condemn those they don't know.

Look how much Trump has accomplished in five short years of racism and prejudice harvesting.

The Oval Office would only further empower the disgust Trump has for his followers and the targets of his childish taunts.

What a piece of work is man, what a piece of is Trump.

Sad that campaign rhetoric has come to this level of emotional intensity, however it is good that such rhetoric is bringing out the true issues and problems that must be openly augured and debated.

The current state of world affairs is that there is such things as racial wars, religious wars and economic wars besides economic wars and cyber wars that is running rampant throughout the world. There are hundreds and thousands "dying" for those "differences" which divide people and their cultures as well as their ways of life.

Political correctness and idealized theories and dreams do not resolve any of those problems and issues. It has to do with our different ways of living on this planet Earth and what "basis" we use and "paths" as well as "methods" we use to follow and achieve one own way of life.

In the USA for now it is verbal exchange (arguments and debates) and not physical violence that is being used to openly resolve those differences by compromise, acceptance, adaptation or otherwise cope and try to be symbiotic in the relationship between peoples that are different. In that process rational and irrational thoughts and behaviors in words and action may be placed in the open.

It is the very fact that it is placed in the "open" that has value and meaning. We can then be aware, identify and work through the differences.

As much as Trump and Clinton, both are problematic in their rhetoric as well as presentation, in my opinion, this is exactly what the USA and the world needs to get out of the complacency and to stop allowing those with power to work behind the scenes to take advantage of those who are actually doing the work, so we may all continue to live and survive.

"Sad that campaign rhetoric has come to this level of emotional intensity" - comments

This level of emotional intensity sometimes happens when a candidate calls millions of innocent people rapists.

No one could have seen that coming.

"Political correctness and idealized theories and dreams do not resolve any of those problems ("differences" which divide people)" - comments

Political correctness is also known as mutual respect and decency, unless those ideals are too confining for persoanl prejudices.

Actually, idealism is the basis for most of the actions of America's Founding Fathers.

Idealism isn't easy.

That doesn't make it any less essential to civilized People.

Dismissing mutual respect, decency and idealism is a strange Campaign of Hate, but that was a choice Donald J. Trump made long ago for personal profit.

Another business failure from "The Donald" based on manipulation of the racism still present in an America only 150 years after the Civil War and 52 years after the Civil Rights Act.

In this Nov. 30, 2015 file photo, Pastor Mark Burns, co-founder & CEO of Christian Television Network, from Easley, S.C., right, speaks to the members of the media outside Trump Tower in New York. (AP Photo/Richard Drew, File)

Reaching back to November 2015, Donald J. Trump pandered to Ministers and Religous Leaders. Why a photo of Pastor Mark Burns appears with an article about mocking Native Americans is unexplained but prompts some perspective.

Earlier this month [November 2015], a black protester was roughed up by Trump supporters at a rally in Birmingham, Alabama. Trump said after the incident, "Maybe he should have been roughed up because it was absolutely disgusting what he was doing."

Trump also drew criticism recently for retweeting an image of inaccurate statistics that vastly overrepresented the number of whites killed by blacks, among other errors.

The conclusion is clear. Trump will continue to bang a gong for racism.

No, no, no, the Department of Justice apparently needs another couple of weeks to indict Clinton for her security breaching private email server, after that, the Democrats may come to their senses ( I know it's a long shot ), and dump her and nominate Sanders, who would demolish Trump in November.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

why don't people just vote for the libertarians or another candidate?

nobody is forcing you to vote for trump, nor clinton

the incorrect belief that your vote does not matter is what has created this utterly ridiculous campaign. votes do matter, and if you choose to vote for X rather than Y simply because Z "is a waste of a vote", you're part of the problem.

vote for a candidate who represents your true values. i would guess the libertarian party probably does a pretty good job of that for people on both the left and the right side of the spectrum.

trump is a noisy loudmouth (don't be fooled by his campaign antics, you think he's racist etc etc. he is playing it up for the cameras to get you talking about him and it is working marvelously). clinton is a complete crook and just continues to walk in it - her husband recently had a secret meeting with the head prosecution of the FBI. what in the HELL makes THAT an ok thing to do? normal people get thrown in jail while the FBI investigates them. Clinton gets private meetings with the prosecution to make defense strategies?!

vote for a 3rd party unless you really really do support either candidate.

Every Government needs good opposition parties that can veto/counter their decisions.

Pity I see only small parties I. Japan and the USA who are connected to do that.

Yo be honest I see little to no difference between the leading parties may they be repubs/Democrats, LDP/DPJ , Labour/Tories, little change after they get into power. election promises are forgotten and they prefer going as before with no interests in change.

"trump is a noisy loudmouth (don't be fooled by his campaign antics, you think he's racist etc etc. he is playing it up for the cameras to get you talking about him and it is working marvelously)." - comments

Strange, the rampant racism and prejudice, which creates the foundation of Donald J. Trump's "campaign antics" and the violence at his loyalty rallies, is dismissed as an amusing contempt for human beings?

The article proves Trump's antics are drawing an increasingly misanthropic mentality that craves Trump's permission to hate. Mocking Native Americans doesn't seem marvelous, it seems shameful and ignorant.

What is the likely result of that? Violence. Is that what "working marvelously" means?

Is "working marvelously" a euphemism for the promotion of hatred based on race, religion and gender?

Is that what Americans consider marvelous?

How would a parent explain to her children that Trump's hatred for their faith or race is all just a marvelous way to portray all Americans?

Trump, while demanding rioting at Cleveland's RNC Convention if the Republican Party rejects him, hardly seems marvelous.

While Trump, and his shills, like Conservative radio host Howie Carr, are selling hate for profit, the word that could be used to describe that kind of greed isn't "marvelous". The word is "disgusting", Obviously Trump and his followers haven't any idea what that means even as they live its expression every day at Trump's rallies for hate.

I hold loyalties to my country as my roots are there and hope to retire there, so important for me to cast my vote.

As for Japan after 19yrs here I also hold loyalties plus my son decided to live here, so I got an interest in local votes too to keep the city as best as can be.

Got many meetings where residents can voice their views, etc always seem to be the only foreigner there. But we got more cycle paths on the big roads they are separated either by barriers or plants from pedestrians and motor vehicles whenever possible.

Still want to vote on local issues like garbage removal, resident and city taxes, .....

So hoping to vote here as well as back home.

"I hold loyalties to my country as my roots are there and hope to retire there, so important for me to cast my vote." - comments

It would be interesting if the comment made clear what the denigration of Native Americans, revealed in this article, by the Donald J. Trump Campaign of Hate had to do with their retirement.

Perhaps some better justification of Trump's hatred towards Native Americans could be illustrated in light of Trump's hateful disgust of The State of Florida's Native Americans who rejected his Casino?

Trump's hate for Native Americans is based on their rejection of his Casino fraud in Florida.

Trump is just dragging that business failure, and Governor Jeb Bush's role in rejecting Trump, into a national campaign of hate.

Too many love Trump's Campaigns of Hate because it reflects their prejudice.

The international reader should not be deceived by Trump's public humiliation of Native Americans as a cause based on truth.

Trump's cause is hate for profit.

Apparently mocking Native Americans isn't of any interest to the commenter.

The point of much of the observations in this article are of no interest.

What Donald J. Trump is doing, to condescend, is a full on promotion of hate.

It is very understandable this is of no interest.

Trump supporters are bent on prejudice, why would that interest anyone outside of Americans?
