The US spends too much time and money on the electoral campaigns. Republican or Democrat.

Think of all the people and services that could be invested in with that money.

It would be great to see voters given a choice beyond the two main parties.

No matter who Democrats choose, there are pros and cons to each candidate.

Its like looking for the perfect wife/husband. There is no such thing. We've ALL got flaws.

Get on with it Democrats. Pick one and give them your full support. They are all good people.

It's time to get rid of Delusional Donnie and start making America great again.

Aye. Most of them are fence-sitting liberals who will merely maintain the status quo.

I fear that the candidates that could bring real and positive change will be sidelined in favor of the old guard.

I do hope I'm wrong.

They are all good people.

And they all speak with forked tongues.

It's time to get rid of Delusional Donnie and start making America great again.

How? Not Warren or any of the other clowns can.

...in the red-light district.

The only candidate I can stand is Tulsi Gabbard.

BTW, have people already forgotten Warren's native American BS story?

I thought you were strongly against name-calling.

If the Dems take a cue from the ruthless repubs and play hardball with the clueless doofus, by 2020 the GOP will be in total disarray like the Tories in the UK today. Sanders, a one-time, or half a term president with Warren waiting in the wings to replace him is the only combo to MAGA. "Sleepy Joe" needs to retire and spend more time with his grandchildren. His undeserved nomination would inflict another disastrous defeat on the Dems and usher in 4 more years of Groundhog Days.

God help the world if this crazy loon gets elected. I can only think of a worse outcome...Bernie Sanders

I thought you were strongly against name-calling.

I would never do that and I know my liberal counterparts wouldn’t call Trump names either.

these loons scream "tax the rich" to rally the young dumb and impressionable but they leave out the part where smart rich people dont pay taxes, just look up Jeff Bezos.

They know how to leverage debt and real estate and the gov rewards them with tax credits

They could go after capital gains, but the rich corps will just move back overseas.

There are plenty of waiters in Italy with master degrees, ask them why dont they go work and put their education to use, they will tell you there are no jobs

No free lunch in life.

Ding ding ding, winner winner, chicken dinner. The rich have many ways to evade taxes thanks to their lawyers, accountants and off-shore tax havens.

Guess who will pay higher taxes though? The middle class. Yay!

Warren’s Native American claim is more than cringeworthy. Trash-talking people is probably Trump’s best ability and he is also good at retweeting other trash he finds on the net. If she gets the nomination, Trump would be able to turn the trash up to 11.

I don’t see her as best placed to beat Trump.

Biden is really slipping with his daily gaffes. The media seems to be souring on him. they would not have publicized those gaffes if he were still supposed to be the front runner.

actually in many cases, its not evading, its just being financially educated. But your right, the middle class will pay taxes on the printed money, not the rich.

Biden can’t be talked about right now as he forcefully grabbed the arm of a college student who asked him how many genders there are. He said at least 3 but then got angry when asked to name them.

Warren should tax the rich at the same measure as her percentage of native american DNA - oh, wait a minute - thats about zero.

On the subject of tax, do you think Trump should release his tax returns before the election?

You know, transparency and all that.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Of course should she get the nomination the whole dirty business of her misrepresenting herself as cherokee - at the expense of real native americans will be brought up again - if indeed Kamala doesnt raise it herself before then.

No matter who Democrats choose, there are pros and cons to each candidate

Gabbard is the only one worth watching. Biden seems to be loosing it, maybe too old. Kamala doesnt have a coherent plan, the rest are loon tunes

Gabbard seems more of a moderate repub than a dem, interesting woman.

As the overlong and obscenely expensive campaigns continue, don't lose sight of the even more obscene and distorted online "activism". Social media is awash with misinformation and mischievous commentary. You'll see it aimed at candidates who genuinely want change and equality. And I don't have to spell it out where it's coming from. If you think the gaslighting is intolerable now...

So please remember when you see these folks on various sites and twitter with their swastikas, Pepe frogs, white power hand signs, red crosses, hate-mongering ad infinitum - all trying to get you to doubt the evidence of your own eyes. Trying to fool you is part of their assault on our freedom.

Nah.

Some moderates. Some from the left. Some are incoherent. Yang is different. Williamson is nutty as a fruitcake but she’s fun and entertaining.

Your point is just silly partisanship. It has no basis in reality. It has no value.

@Longtermer,

My impression exactly.

Ive said before Gabbard is in the wrong party. Shes quite sensible and seems genuine. What on earth is she doing in the Dem party??

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

And because Gabbard is sensible and not a loony tune she has absolutely no chance of getting the Dem party nomination.

Donny is as loony tunes as Bugs Bunny.

Booker and Harris have missed 48% of their votes while campaigning. Buttedgeedge has had 110+ events away from his job too.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

A short while ago I would have been against any "rich tax." But nowadays, knowing that most new wealth created in this country goes to the top 10% of Americans, then it starts to make sense. As wealth starts to get more and more concentrated then having them pay most of the taxes becomes more logical.

If this won't work because the rich don't pay taxes, then change the tax system. And no, that doesn't mean giving the rich the lionshare of tax breaks like the GOP did last time.
