Wary of wider defiance, Saudis arrest woman driver

Yep, it's a civilized country. Sheesh.

On Monday, another woman was also reportedly arrested, along with two female relatives, after driving to a grocery store

so the world does the same thing on the backs of those who cannot.

Hard to imagine that the police enforce edicts laid down by religious leaders, when there is no actual law to be broken. Here's hoping the women have more impact this time around, than they had in the late 70s.

I guess the F-1 circuit does not race in Riyadh -- it would be interesting to see a Saudi man call Danica Patrick a harlot and take bets on how long their "junk" would remain intact...

They should ride their cars through the front doors of the Mosques.

Just wondering why the story is datelined "CAIRO" when the event occured in Saudi Arabia?? Ahh Islam....the religion of tolerance. She's lucky this didn't happen in Taliban ruled Afghanistan or she would have been shot or stoned or given lashes at the very least.
