but the anti-sex crowd are always going out of their way to try to make the entire world less sexual, such as those staid individuals in Britain looking to cut porn off at the ISP.

Are you by any chance referring to the calls in the UK to cut access to CHILD pornography following a series of high profile child-murders by individuals who, when investigated, were found to have high level indecent images of children on their PCs, some images of which suggested they had carried out certain acts in their murders that they had viewed online (ref: April Jones and Tia Sharp cases).

If that is the case then thank GOD certain "staid" individuals are trying to ensure these depraved individuals who wish to view this kind of muck dont get access to anything that might incite them to action.

He has shown that he cannot be trusted.

No idea how you figure that.

He has shown that he has bad judgment.

Because he did not count on some hacker on the dole from Andrew Breitbart rifling through his private internet files?

I think he showed good judgment when he insisted on compensation for 9/11 first responders that Republicans opposed.

He has lied to the public.

About his private matters? What, are you going to tell us you don't? I do. Everybody does. You do, and you know it.

He has shown no respect for the sacredness of sex.

Sacredness of sex? What in the devil are you talking about?? You pray before you do it? Sacrifice a goat or something??

He has shown he is not faithful to his wife, even if only mentally and emotionally.

Oh, so what he is guilty of is "impure thoughts"? Oh, yeah, I am sure all your favorite politicians never had any!

And why not let his wife worry about his faithfulness? I see that she is still with him, and she knows what is going on. If she is tolerant, why aren't you? You are not married to him also, are you?

In short, he has shown us, by his actions, that he is not fit for public office.

In short, you have only judged his private life and not said anything that has anything to do with public office. You have said nothing of the legislation he has supported nor anything he has accomplished as a politician. As much as you think Weiner's head is in the gutter, I find it morbidly fascinating how you have absolutely nothing to say about the man that is not related to his private sexual matters.

Scott Johnson:

If other politicians refuse to do their jobs they should be cast out. If they are not, then the electorate has gotten the politicians it deserves.

I agree. Provided the elections are free from fraud, of course.

The three points you followed with are moot if other politicians avoid Weiner because he is politically radioactive.

If other politicians refuse to do their jobs they should be cast out. If they are not, then the electorate has gotten the politicians it deserves. My suggestion is that everyone smarten up and leave people's legal sex lives out of this.

Oh I'm glad I'm not an Oscar Meyer weiner....

Scott Johnson:

I don't do double standards. I leave that to Republicans.

Seriously? That's funny.

Well maybe you should do some research instead of trust your memory.

The three points you followed with are moot if other politicians avoid Weiner because he is politically radioactive.

Still, he can't do worse than Bloomberg.

Dude....time to wrap it up...

His wife seems very aged. Regarding of her husband's action, she only gets strong support from Hillary only. Activities differ but maybe only Hillary feel sorry for her in Democratic circuit? Clinton behaved since that scandal. Her husband did not. Used to be Clinton, Gingrich type scandals but now we never know Weiner type scandals will pop up more now (among politicians).

Weiner choosing National Hot Dog (weiner) Day to hold a press conference.

Too funny.

"What does any of this private stuff has to do with his fitness to be mayor? Nothing."

Well Scott, some people think that character matters.

He has shown that he cannot be trusted. He has shown that he has bad judgment. He has lied to the public. He has shown no respect for the sacredness of sex. He has shown he is not faithful to his wife, even if only mentally and emotionally. In short, he has shown us, by his actions, that he is not fit for public office. Actions speak louder than words.

If you're OK with that, go ahead and vote for him.

For many of us, that is not OK!

I find it hard to believe the nerve of some folks ! So full of themselves !

Well, Senator Vitter was gong to prostitutes and was re-elected in LA. He is a fake christian but apparently by asking forgiveness the voters of LA thought it was OK. Another family values republican, at least it was women in his case and not guys in bathrooms like with republican Senator Craig of Idaho. So for Weiner, what he has done is morally stupid but he has never professed to be better than others as Vitter and Craig did for decades. Fact is Weiner is super smart and can outfox the republicans at every turn. He can also run NYC despite his pics. Clinton was a great President overall despite he Monica escapades. Bush was a horrible President who never strayed apparently. Give me the guy who is better in the job, that is what really matters. In Japan PM Hashimoto had an affair with a Chinese woman who was a spy. It was in the news a day. No one in Japan cares about this useless stuff. Only uptight Christian moralists do back in the USA (unless the perp is a Christian, then whatever).

I feel sorry for his wife....the first time....and this time. Probably more sexting that will come out in the next few weeks. Seems that Carlos Danger can't keep his Weiiner private....or is it, Anthony's Weiner is Dangerous.

.If Clinton could get away, why not me right?

Thank you for bringing up Clinton. A very popular president who was also a human being with a libido.

Scott, would you say the same for a Republican?

You bet! I never chastised Newt Gingrich for doing the same as Bill Clinton. I chastised Newt for going after Clinton with both barrels while doing the same as Bill Clinton. I don't do double standards. I leave that to Republicans.

Poor judgement and lack of character tend to follow one to the office.

It is not poor judgement to get caught by snoops in your own private affairs. Hound any human enough something is bound to come out. But when I say human, of course I am not talking about those who get off on war rather than sex.

As for lack of character, I don't follow your meaning. I thought he was supposed to be a leader, not an entertainer.

I don't remember him being that good of a congressman to make up for the scandal(s).

Well maybe you should do some research instead of trust your memory. Wiki is free and easy to find:

In April 2008, Weiner created the bi-partisan Congressional Middle Class Caucus.[16] Weiner received an "A" on the Drum Major Institute's 2005 Congressional Scorecard on middle-class issues.

On July 29, 2010, Weiner criticized Republicans for opposing the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act. This act would provide for funds for sick first responders to the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, many of whom reside in Weiner's district.

On July 29, 2007, Weiner and Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) objected to a $20-billion arms deal that the Bush Administration had negotiated with Saudi Arabia because they do not want to provide "sophisticated weapons to a country that they believe has not done enough to stop terrorism,"

@JeanVolJean: Don;t worry. People knows that he is planning to do more of his past action opportunities iif he becomes mayor. That is all he has been interested in past 2 years.

If the people of New York are stupid enough to vote for this deviant, then they are deserving of the litany of scandals that will result from putting the perv in the mayoral office.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

MLK said that you can judge a man not by his color, but by the contents of his character. It has no meaning to Weiner, cause this guy is full of himself, disregarding the public and his own family. It is just a matter of time, whatever he does or will do; he will destroy himself in such ridiculous way in matter of time.If Clinton could get away, why not me right?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

I love Weiner!

Who hasn't drunkenly done some dumb stuff online. Hardly a crime.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Scott, would you say the same for a Republican? Just curious.

Poor judgement and lack of character tend to follow one to the office. I don't remember him being that good of a congressman to make up for the scandal(s).

Weiner has also been known to yank down his pants, sit on the throne and take a poop. He also yanks his manhood out to take a pee. I bet he sometimes leaves the door open too!

What does any of this private stuff has to do with his fitness to be mayor? Nothing. But you will notice that Weiner never once tried to force anyone to be more sexual, but the anti-sex crowd are always going out of their way to try to make the entire world less sexual, such as those staid individuals in Britain looking to cut porn off at the ISP.

And its not Wiener we should blame for his humanity and sex life being a matter of public knowledge. Its the lousy, nosy press who can't keep there noses to themselves or their mouths shut, except about matters of real public import of course.
