NATO spokeswoman Oana Lungescu said that since mid-August, the military alliance has seen multiple reports of direct involvement of Russian forces in Ukraine, along with transfers of tanks and other heavy weapons to the separatists, and “an alarming build-up of Russian ground and air forces in the vicinity of Ukraine.”

Looks like Putin has decided to go all in, rather than back-off due to the sanctions. If he really cared about the victims in Ukraine that he is supposedly sending this humanitarian aid to, he'd be going in the opposite direction. Not encouraging.

NATO ' s secretary-general condemned Russia for sending in a ' so-called humanitarian convoy. ' Anders Fogh Rasmussen said Russia committed ' a blatant breach ' of its international commitments and ' a further violation of Ukraine ' s sovereignty.'

The Pentagon demanded Russia withdraw the convoy immediately, warning: ' Failure to do so will result in additional costs and isolation. '

Cardboard hawks and paper eagles snap their wings. Better tell us what is about the result of MH17 air crash investigation?

Humanitarian convoy --if it is completely humanitarian-- is fine despite Ukraine's protests. What's more lamentable, left behind was the Red Cross to ensure transparency.

(Similarly, if the U.N. sends humanitarian aid to Syria, they shouldn't need Syria's permission, and they should involve the Red Cross/Crescent.)

I am glad that there haven't been attacks against the convoy. There have been right sector troops, which aren't in the control of the Ukranian government.(But in Russian propaganda these guys have taken over of the government.) In the other hand I don't think that citizens of Luhansk region will be pleased when they find out that trucks are actually almost empty. The real purpose of the convoy is make the smokescreen for rebels. The fascist government of Ukraine needed 75 trucks to send 800 tons of aid to Luhansk while mighty Russia needs 280 trucks to send less than 2000 tons. I guess Russian military trucks aren't any more what used to be.

Better tell us what is about the result of MH17 air crash investigation?

The investication hasn't started, because the crash site isn't safe. The only thing investigators have managed to do is reclaim black boxes. Those are almost useless unless technical failure caused the crash.

The real purpose of the convoy is make the smokescreen for rebels.

Perhaps, you are entirely correct....

The investication hasn't started, because the crash site isn't safe.

Except the wreckage on crash site, there are many things to investigate : raw radar data, recorded talks between Ukranian air traffic controllers and Ukranian military units etc.

as Moscow sent more than 130 trucks rolling across the border in what it said was a mission to deliver humanitarian aid. Ukraine called it a “direct invasion,” and the U.S. and NATO condemned it as well.

Lot of good people dying without food water and medicine

Russia never provided "democracy" for people not asking for it

Russia save people who really dying

Russia said the white-tarped vehicles were carrying food, water, generators and sleeping bags. But Associated Press journalists following the convoy across rough country roads heard the trucks’ contents rattling and sliding around Friday, suggesting many vehicles were only partially loaded.

Russia never promised that all trucks will be full loaded

So - where the problem ?

Food water generators - it's not good ?

Ukrainian security services chief Valentyn Nalyvaichenko called the convoy a “direct invasion” and said the half-empty trucks would be used to transport weapons to rebels The Red Cross, which had planned to escort the convoy to assuage fears that it was a cover for a Russian invasion, said it had not received enough security guarantees to do so, as shelling had continued overnight.

Russia invite Red Cross from the beginning to patronize this mission

So - Ukrainian forces fiercely shelling Lugansk and vicinity (murdering a lot of people )

And it's really dangerous to go there

But every honest man take such risk to save human lives - childrens women .. old people

An attack on the convoy could give Russia a pretext to intervene more deeply in the war.

So why Ukraine should attack this convoy ?

And a pause in the fighting to allow the convoy safe passage could hamper further battlefield advances by Ukrainian forces, which have reported substantial inroads against the rebels over the past week

"Ukrainian forces " for 4 monthes attacking its own citizens on south east of Ukraine

and only last week they suddenly they have chance to win...

And this white trucks have spoiled everything...

The Pentagon demanded Russia withdraw the convoy immediately, warning: “Failure to do so will result in additional costs and isolation.”

So people of Lugansk should die without help?

This is a goal ?

Rebel forces took advantage of Ukraine’s promise not to shell the convoy to drive on the same country road as the trucks. Some 20 green military supply vehicles — flatbed truck

Ukrainian forces shelling any city town or village in South East of Ukraine

So any promise of Ukraine governement not worth a penny
