There's a new sheriff in town. The DOJ needs a shake-up and the weaponization needs to end.

Gaetz is unpopular with many fellow House Republicans for his push to oust former Speaker Kevin McCarthy and a long trail of stories about his personal conduct, including a federal investigation into allegations that he arranged to have sex with a minor.

Millions of American minorities who registered a protest vote in hopes of peace in Gaza, lower inflation and higher wages:

Government by trolling is going to do all that, right?

Welcome to Crazytown

Senators on Thursday demanded access to a potentially damning House Ethics Committee report into former Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., despite his resignation from Congress.

Matt Gaetz resigns just days before a potentially damning House Ethics Committee report into him.

Let's see the contents of the report.

There's a new sheriff in town. The DOJ needs a shake-up and the weaponization needs to end.

There was no weaponization of the DOJ.

Not sure what that has to do with anything but hey….

Update: chair of the House ethics committee, congressman Michael Guest, has signalled their report into Matt Gaetz will not be released now that he has departed Congress.

He described it as confidential and explained that confidentiality will be maintained.

Also important to keep in mind Mr Gaetz had no formal charges brought against him by prosecutors and he vigorously denies all allegations.

Also important to keep in mind Mr Gaetz had no formal charges brought against him by prosecutors and he vigorously denies all allegations.

This is correct and he will swiftly be confirmed, even as the left melts down and tries to create more drama.

A convicted felon has chosen a known sex trafficker of children as his Attorney General.

Elections have consequences.

A convicted felon has chosen a known sex trafficker of children as his Attorney General.

Elections have consequences.

So why is Eric Swalwell still in Congress?

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

meh...fake news, fake narrative. He's a temporary fixer, new president need a guy that's not afraid of confrontation to clean the rot first (and there's a lot of rot in the DoJ, entirely controlled by the deep state, they are not even embarassed to show they're muppets any more).

I wouldn't personally count on him being there for the whole term.

Update: chair of the House ethics committee, congressman Michael Guest, has signalled their report into Matt Gaetz will not be released now that he has departed Congress.

That's not going to please the Senators who will be required to approve the post.

I expect them to decline to support the nomination. Trump will have to pick someone else.

He described it as confidential and explained that confidentiality will be maintained.

Matt Gaetz must be sweating this one. What's the bet that this gets leaked....?

Also important to keep in mind Mr Gaetz had no formal charges brought against him by prosecutors and he vigorously denies all allegations.

He still has to answer the questions. Rather tough questions.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

CS

This is correct and he will swiftly be confirmed, even as the left melts down and tries to create more drama.

It's not the left who hate Matt Gaetz. All his GOP colleagues absolutely hate the guy.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Answering questions about something he has always vigorously denied, and of which federal prosecutors declined to bring charges, should be a cakewalk.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

JJE

Answering questions about something he has always vigorously denied, and of which federal prosecutors declined to bring charges, should be a cakewalk.

Not so easy once they release the report.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

keep in mind Mr Gaetz had no formal charges brought against him by prosecutors and he vigorously denies all allegations.

Then why quit two days before the report is released?

He’s a real dirtbag, but he’ll work to protect Trump and punish his enemies. No weaponization there, no sir!

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Also important to keep in mind Mr Gaetz had no formal charges brought against him by prosecutors and he vigorously denies all allegations.

So why is he so scared of the report that he quit two days before it was released?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

He put in his formal resignation letter to the speaker of the house and got the clock ticking so a replacement can be appointed by Florida Governor DeSantis. This should occur in early January, said speaker Johnson in a press conference yesterday.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Trash do.not fall, too far Trump tree

Yeah, riiiiight! LOLZ. Nobody believes this.

This should occur in early January, said speaker Johnson in a press conference yesterday.

Johnson had a hard time keeping a straight face when announcing this...

funkymofo

Same reason he filed the motion to get rid of McCarthy.

Which is also why so many Republicans hate him.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Then why quit two days before the report is released?

He can’t? Is there a law where it states he has to stay?

He’s a real dirtbag,

I disagree

but he’ll work to protect Trump and punish his enemies.

Yes.

No weaponization there, no sir!

No, because he’s not trying to prison anyone for their political standings going into an election, he’s just going to fire people and put a structure in that Dems can’t just indiscriminately target people and jail them because they don’t like their politics. What the Dems did in 2012 with the IRS, J6, religious worshippers, Trump, Petraeus, Flynn, Bannon, etc. that all has to stop. And I don’t really care if either side of the swamp can’t stand him, that shows their true thoughts concerning the deep state, the weaponization of government needs to stop, so let the guy go buck wild and clean out that department. We shall see if he gets confirmed, but we need a serious disrupter and you can’t find a better person than Gaetz for that job.

just going to fire people and put a structure in that Dems can’t just indiscriminately target people and jail them because they don’t like their politics.

No need. It isn't happening.

What the Dems did in 2012 with the J6, religious worshippers, Trump, Petraeus, Flynn, Bannon, etc.

I.e., nothing.

that all has to stop.

It hasn't started.

And I don’t really care if either side of the swamp can’t stand him, that shows their true thoughts concerning the deep state, the weaponization of government needs to stop

This isn't a thing.

so let the guy go buck wild and clean out that department.

No need.

Gaetz is more of a grifter than a disrupter.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

No need. It isn't happening.

The voters disagree with that.

I.e., nothing.

Yes, a lot.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/irs-apologizes-targeting-conservative-groups-flna1C9873823

that all has to stop.

It hasn't started.

It started in 2016 2 failed impeachments, home raids, Russia investigation, sham court trials which had nothing to do with nothing with him while he was President

This isn't a thing.

For conservatives it is and now that they have full control they will stop it.

No need.

Well, you don’t and won’t make that call.

Gaetz is more of a grifter than a disrupter.

We all have our opinions, if he does get confirmed he will clean house

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

But will he be the 'leftist maniac' Trump called him and go after his favorite industry; the Big Ag supporting the health destroying fast food industry like McD and KFC?

Probably

Which is the Dear Leader's daily bread?

Doubtful.

He will and Trump won’t give up MD’s but if RFK can get certain unnecessary chemicals out of these foods, why not?

-13 ( +0 / -13 )

--Then why quit two days before the report is released?

He can’t? Is there a law where it states he has to stay?

There's no law about it, but it certainly raises serious doubts about his suitability to be AG.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Trump just nominated his own attorney, Todd Blanche, as for the role of deputy attorney general (2IC to Gaetz).

He was his lawyer in the NY business record "trial".

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Other Republicans on Wednesday and Thursday said they would consider Gaetz’s nomination with an open mind or noted favorably his advocacy for Trump. Gaetz is a longtime Trump supporter and frequently campaigned for him.

MAGA is waiting for AG Gaetz to tackle that Dem trafficking ring.

It started in 2016 2 failed impeachments,

The impeachments were successful and deserved.

home raids,

?

Russia investigation,

Which produced indicted, convicted or gotten guilty pleas from 34 people and three companies

sham court trials which had nothing to do with nothing with him while he was President

None.

This isn't a thing.

For conservatives it is

You can't make up the truth.

Gaetz is more of a grifter than a disrupter.

We all have our opinions, if he does get confirmed he will clean house

Best he clean his own house first.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

This is just TOO much!

Gaetz is a junkyard dog and is another HOMERUN appointment!!

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

It hasn't started.

It did in 2012.

The impeachments were successful and deserved.

And he was acquitted twice, waste of taxpayer money….again.

Which produced indicted, convicted or gotten guilty pleas from 34 people and three companies

And nothing happened and Trump still won that state by almost 40%

None.

This isn't a thing.

It wasn’t and yet, no one cared what Trump did before he was President, again, more wasted taxpayer money.

You can't make up the truth.

I don’t need to, look at who won the election, that’s your truth.

Best he clean his own house first.

Well, the left won’t make that call on any of this.

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

What Republicans are saying about Matt Gaetz's nomination for attorney general

excellent news. Though support from Lindsey Graham sends up red flags.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

There's no law about it, but it certainly raises serious doubts about his suitability to be AG.

But Garland was suitable? Are you joking??

Sure. But I thought you were against government regulation.

I’m not, but I’m also not for poisoning people either. Tell me something, what purpose or nutritional benefits does “Red 40” have?

Plus, RFK Jr. is a crackpot who has no expertise in medical science.

Yeah, I think the left lost that argument a long time ago. No, we don’t and won’t trust these people that contradict themselves and and push us to take things we don’t want. And if libs don’t like it, good. Then I know it’s the right move.

Just as Gaetz has no experience in jurisprudence or trial law.

Coming from the J6 committee supporting crowd. ROFL! How’s Smith, James and Willis doing these days?

It hasn't started.

It did in 2012.

Nope.

Yeah, I think the left lost that argument a long time ago.

They didn't. He's a crackpot and an anti-vaxxer.

Not as the minority

If some GOP senators vote against the confirmation.

And still they have more than enough to override the Dems with their majority.

They didn't. He's a crackpot and an anti-vaxxer.

He’s not, he has stated so many times, he thinks we should have a choice as Americans, I agree. Again, the Dems need to relax and sit back, he’s going to be the next health and human services secretary

Yup, in the minority if some Republicans decline to approve him.

If some GOP senators vote against the confirmation.

Depends how many Republicans vote against him.

They didn't. He's a crackpot and an anti-vaxxer.

Well, they will. In the Senate.

They don’t have the numbers, they know it, we know it. Next you’re going to say Schumer is still majority leader? Lol

Yup, in the minority if some Republicans decline to approve him.

That won’t happen, but then again, it’s up to Dems if they want to get one of their nominees through in a Republican senate, right back at them.

If some GOP senators vote against the confirmation.

That can happen and let’s not forget, there will be another election, Trump has a mandate, so if the Dems want to win any, they really need to think deep and hard

He is.

He never said that

Yup.

Well, there you go, as he continues to state he’s not anti-vax

Wow. A child rapist as Attorney General. Goes well with a child rapist as President.

Now RFK who went barmy after a worm burrowed into his brain, thinks the earth is flat, the moon emits its own light, the secret race of lizard men from outer space is real, and that vaccines cause AIDS is lined up for health secretary.

A weekend warrior fox news presenter is lined up as secretary of defence.

The clown show is developing well.

Still the USA deserves it. It's been descending into lunacy for the last 30 years or more.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

There won't be any recess appointments.

oh why not?

it’s constitutional and Obama, Clinton and Bush did them.

plus even if it wasn’t constitutional, that dictator Trump just gonna do it anyway, right?

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

But Garland was suitable? Are you joking??

I'm not joking. Garland was suitable and Gaetz is not.

Tell us, what special qualifications and experience does Gaetz have for being AG?

OK. So you have something associated with Obama,

Yes

which has already been fixed.

Lois Lerner is in prison???

All of your claims about the Biden administration are bogus.

No, because he lost, we took care of that problem

They don’t have the numbers, they know it, we know it.

They do, why is Schumer nervous?

Yup, in the minority if some Republicans decline to approve him.

Probably

That won’t happen,

Probably will. Especially when the ethic committee report comes out.

Even if he doesn’t get confirmed, he will get an AG to his liking, and the Democrats are not gonna like it, so either way they’re going to have to play ball, unless they want to get primary or lose another election.

To make it short and painless:

Gaetz - another one without qualifications, except for:

"... underage sexual abuse, illegal drug use, sharing inappropriate images and videos on the House floor, misusing state identification records, converting campaign funds for personal use, and accepting impermissible gifts."

Maybe, just maybe he's a little over-qualified?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

bass4funk

OK. So you have something associated with Obama,

Yes

Which has nothing to do with the DOJ. Good one.

Yup.

Well, there you go, as he continues to state he’s not anti-vax

He says that he’s not anti-vaccine, but he is.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

so Trump does a recess appointment.

if he doesn’t want to for some reason, the Senate will vote to approve him.

if they don’t, then it’s Senator Gaetz.

Schifty Schiff is especially terrified of an AG Gaetz, why would that be?

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

OK. So you have something associated with Obama,

Yes

Which has nothing to do with the DOJ.

But with his previous admin and attack on conservative donors

He says that he’s not anti-vaccine, but he is.

I care what he verbally said, he said he wasn't, and you are not him, so if it comes from his mouth, I take his word for it, if you don't think so, then you don't. You believe what you want and I will do the same.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Gaetz - another one without qualifications, except for:

"... underage sexual abuse, illegal drug use, sharing inappropriate images and videos on the House floor, misusing state identification records, converting campaign funds for personal use, and accepting impermissible gifts."

Based on what? He wasn't indicted, these are just allegations so far, so we don't know anything, yet. And if you want to get into the weeds, politicians on either side can talk about misusing campaign funds or receiving gifts.

Democrats:

Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL)

Corrine Brown (D-FL)

John Edwards (D-NC)

Chaka Fattah (D-PA)

Republicans:

Duncan Hunter (R-CA)

Steve Stockman (R-TX)

Larry Craig (R-ID)

Mark Foley (R-FL)

Maybe, just maybe he's a little over-qualified?

I would say, the perfect disrupter.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

The article suggests that the RINO´s in that party speak for all "Republicans". They do not, and I hope the Trump team can prevent them from slithering into positions of power.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

It's obvious that Trump's nominations are based entirely around revenge against people who he feels haven't kissed his ring enough (and by extension, reward for those who he feels have been sufficiently deferent). Qualifications, experience, temperament, all be damned.

As others have said, when you get this many incompetent and unsuitable people working together (and working purely for their own personal advancement), it's going to be absolutely epic when the in-fighting starts. All we need is Marjorie Taylor Space Laser and Lauren Blowboert in major positions, and the circus is ready to hit the road.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Gaetz - cocaine fuelled kiddy fiddler.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

bass4funk

OK. So you have something associated with Obama,

Yes

You're all over the place. I don't even know what you are arguing anymore.

I care what he verbally said, he said he wasn't, and you are not him, so if it comes from his mouth, I take his word for it, if you don't think so, then you don't. You believe what you want and I will do the same.

Well, he published an article in Salon and Rolling Stone that opined that there was a link between thimerosal and an epidemic of childhood neurological disorders, which those publications later retracted.

So there's that.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

You're all over the place.

I'm not, I'm laser-focused on the Jitter-bug you're trying to pull.

I don't even know what you are arguing anymore.

That pretty much sums up the liberal.....mind.

Well, he published an article in Salon and Rolling Stone

Ok, stop, you just mentioned Salon and RS, you can't get more left than these publications.

*Rolling Stone**:*

Rolling Stone has had several high-profile retractions, with the most notable being:

*2014 UVA Rape Story**: The most infamous retraction involved a 2014 article titled “A Rape on Campus” about an alleged sexual assault at the University of Virginia. The story was later found to be largely fabricated, leading to a full retraction. Rolling Stone faced lawsuits and significant damage to its credibility due to this incident.*

that opined that there was a link between thimerosal and an epidemic of childhood neurological disorders, which those publications later retracted.

*Legal Consequences**: Rolling Stone lost defamation lawsuits filed by the University of Virginia and others, resulting in multimillion-dollar settlements. Over the years, Rolling Stone has faced several retractions, so I take what they say with the littlest grain of salt.*

*Salon**:*

Salon has had fewer high-profile retractions compared to Rolling Stone, but it has retracted or significantly corrected articles over time, often related to fact-checking issues.

*2002** - Bush National Guard Story: Salon retracted parts of an article that falsely claimed George W. Bush went AWOL from the National Guard. After further investigation, Salon admitted to errors in the reporting.*

*Other Cases**: Salon has retracted articles or issued corrections for pieces dealing with politically charged topics, watch the video and listen to what he said, and how you think is irrelevant, now if you can find a video where he said he is anti-vax, show us.*

So there's that.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Gaetz has the following special qualifications that uniquely positions him as the ideal candidate for the position: he has a burning desire to bring legal relief to the victims who were persecuted on Jan 6th. Secondly, he has a very good idea who the persecutors are and he shall hold them to account. This will get the ball rolling to a full sweep of the Justice Department up and down the line.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Ok so let’s try something else:

who is an acceptable Attorney General for our leftists here?

not that you get any say in it (cause you lost) but hypothetically.

I feel you just complaining about anyone we pick and no one is acceptable for anything,

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

he has a very good idea who the persecutors are and he shall hold them to account.

Good luck with that. Laws were not broken.

Except by Trump. (And probably Matt the Kiddie Fiddler.)
