If the the lockdown continues for another 2-3 weeks, many small businesses will not be able to reopen.

If Trump would have listened to his intelligence staff and taken action sooner, and if his administration hadn't bungled so much these businesses might have re-opened 2-3 weeks earlier.

Cuomo says it's his call

What does DeBlasio have to say about that?

Neither of these men can make the call. Both Cuomo and DeBlasio serve at the pleasure of their Lord and Savior, Donald J. Christ. It is He alone who can open the economy.

The main goal of the closings was to flatten and delay the virus case curve. People are still going to get sick.

There are likely going to be 2-4 humps over the next 6 months as different parts of the economy are opened, closed, reopened, closed, reopened. This is all not to completely end the virus, but to let hospitals, better treatments, and a vaccine come into play.

No city can shutdown until everyone is vaccinated. That's reality.

"NY Governor Cuomo's Coronavirus Response Approval Rating More than Doubles Trump's Among New York Voters: Poll"

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's coronavirus approval rating more than doubled President Donald Trump's figure among the state's voters in a new national survey.

In the latest Quinnipiac poll, released Wednesday, an overwhelming majority—81 percent—of New York voters approved of Cuomo's handling of the state's response to COVID-19 and 17 percent disapproved. By comparison, only 35 percent of New York voters approved of Trump's handling of the pandemic, while 61 disapproved.

Trump's overall coronavirus approval rating lagged significantly behind New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, who garnered 63 percent of support for his handling of the virus in the U.S. epicenter of the crisis. Roughly 30 percent disapproved of de Blasio's COVID-19 response.

The president also trailed behind New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont among voters in their respective states. Roughly 78 percent approved of Murphy's handling of the virus and 18 percent disapproved. By comparison, just 37 percent of New Jersey voters approved of Trump's coronavirus response and 61 percent disapproved.

In Connecticut, 78 percent approved of Lamont's handling of the virus and 17 percent disapproved. While 36 percent approved of Trump's response and 61 percent disapproved.

"A crisis rockets governors to approval ratings rarely seen. In the Tri-State area, the public leans on their leaders and the gratitude shows," Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Tim Malloy said of the findings.

A majority—roughly two thirds—in each state agree with the mitigation measures put in place by their governors to limit the virus' spread, while about 20 percent think they should be stricter and 15 percent think they went too far.

and if Cuomo had not sent infected seniors to a nursing home of people who were not ill, NY would not have become the epicenter of the COVID infection. NYC would have likely reopened by now

more than 5500 deaths from that directive from Cuomo. no wonder DeBlasio trying to make the reopening decision instead of Cuomo.

Utter BS! Trump has nothing to do with Cuomo’s decision to re-open the State again, he knows it and the people know it. This guy is saying essentially, he thinks the people are stupid and he has to treat them like little kids that can’t take care of themselves therefore, he will make the decision if people can work or not, he has money, he’s working, but responsible adults can’t? The more these liberals continue to keep the country shut, the more it helps Trump.
