Only if he manages to get elected. Given Chicago's politics, thats definitely not a sure thing. About the only thing he has going for him initially is name recognition.

On the plus side though, guess we won't have to worry about any more naked shower antics from this bozo.

I think Rahm's biggest problem was that people weren't sure how important he was.

He should have called himself "mister." If you call yourself mister, you must be important. It would also feed his ego. Anyone who calls themselves mister probably needs the ego boost.

Chicago is a socialist's dream city. They will need to take down all the Daley public worship signs and put up Rahm ones.

And look at the Chicago Bears --> 3-0

New worship signs are needed anyway because the Daley signs seem to fade after 20+ years.

Chicago ain't your normal city. Mayor is actually a step up. It won't be easy to get the nomination though. There are a lot of Dems that would love that seat. Since Daley is done, finally, if he endorses someone, thats most likely the one who will get it. Otherwise it'll be a free for all.

Rush said on his show today that Emanuel leased out his Chicago home '09 and has not been back since. That means he can no longer claim he is a resident; as such, he's ineligible to run for mayor.

If that's true, one has to wonder about the real reason behind him bailing on Obama and the democrats one month before the mid-terms.
