I support his comments - towards the fact that he is not a ("/an Environmental") Scientist, and therefore not qualified to make a statement one way or the other.

It's an unacceptable equivocation.

Unfortunately, these days, people (the press) are so keen to latch onto the miniscule of comments and blow them up into something much bigger.

The White House and the media were right to pull him up on the remark.

What an idiot!

Jean-Pierre spoke shortly after President Joe Biden's top climate adviser John Podesta said Malpass, a Republican nominated by former President Donald Trump, should "not mince words" on the scientific consensus on climate change.

But he was appointed by an even bigger idiot, so no surprise.

I support his comments - towards the fact that he is not a ("/an Environmental") Scientist, and therefore not qualified to make a statement one way or the other. He therefore has to rely upon his Scientific advisors.
