Amazing. the Dems got nailed when they muted their criticisms of Bush's war policies in the early days. Now they are getting nailed again by Cheney of all people. Quite the spectacle he has become for the world to watch. Not quite sure how he figures his mouth helps America.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Mr. Cheney's correct. Blame the American people, apologist tours, sweet talk to our enemies, ignor our allies; Obama portrays himself as a savior elected to save the world . . . As Christmas Day proves, it's not working.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Obama, Pfeiffer wrote, is focused on action over politics and was not afraid to talk about the threats. “The difference is this: President Obama doesn’t need to beat his chest to prove it, and—unlike the last administration—we are not at war with a tactic (“terrorism”), we (are) at war with something that is tangible: al-Qaida and its violent extremist allies. And we will prosecute that war as long as the American people are endangered.”

Exactly, exactly.

So we are at war with a group and its allies that are international terrorists and use terrorism as there primary weapon against us and our allies but not with terrorism itself......makes perfect sense now. Glad the Whitehouse finally cleared that up for me after all these years.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Christmas Day proved that Obama is not ready for the 3 a.m. phone call.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Obama portrays himself as a savior elected to save the world

Actually that was an invention of the GOP/NEOCON brain trust. A straw man to tear down at will, a hyperbole to mock, but inaccurate in the real world. In the real world Cheney helped to start two wars and botched the execution of both. But don't let reality stop you from attacking your own country, it hasn't stopped Cheney.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

And when bush said nothing for days about Richard Reid (shoe-bomber) the Dems didn't criticize him as the hypocritical GOP are doing now. There was a news article about this just the other day (or was it today?) detailing how big a group of hypocrites they are. Their response, as with the response to the fact that they approved of certain spending under Bush when they criticize Obama for the same thing? "Don't bring up the past."

In fact, Cheney is here doing that very thing again; he seems to forget that he helped CREATE half the terrorists that exist out there now. He took the pressure off them in Afghanistan to run a fools errand in Iraq, and we all know there were no WMDs or ties to AQ. You mention those facts and it's more, "That was then, this is now" crap. Cheney really, really ought to shut his mouth and realize the damage he does when he opens it.

The shoe bomber attempted attack came less than two and a half months after Sept 11th. The nation expected another attempt at that moment in our history. The nation was still scrambling to get the Dept of Homeland Security up and running and in the midst of sending our troops to Afghanistan to take out the Taliban. The nation was on a full war footing and expected more terrorist attacks as we took the battle over there to fight them. There was no need for President Bush to go out and tell the American people after the shoe bomber attack that he wasn't doing everything possible to prevent further attacks and wasn't concerned. The American people already knew that and were anxiously waiting for us to hit the Taliban and A.Q in Afghanistan with all that we had.

Context again smith......It is a wonderful thing to help balance out reality from partisan T.P.M spin.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sailwind: Hahaha... nice attempt at excuses, but it's still hypocrisy. Perhaps you missed it in the article; the recent terrorist attack attempt happened under the anti-terrorist measures bush put into place. It's amazing the depths that the GOP and their supporters have sunk to in terms of flip-flopping and hypocrisy. Call that 'spin' if you like, the rest of us will continue to call it like it is: fac

0 ( +0 / -0 )

fact

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sailwind: "The American people already knew that and were anxiously waiting for us to hit the Taliban and A.Q in Afghanistan with all that we had."

So you're saying it's the AMERICAN PEOPLE that have forgotten you are at war, not the President. Good on you for admitting it. It's a shame cheney has to open his gob and try to spin the facts the other way.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Perhaps you missed it in the article; the recent terrorist attack attempt happened under the anti-terrorist measures bush put into place.

Perhaps you missed it, Obama has been elected President and he is charge of Homeland Security now. Its his policies and executive orders that are running the show now. But continue to use the 'blame Bush' card to your hearts content and give Obama a pass.

So you're saying it's the AMERICAN PEOPLE that have forgotten you are at war, not the President.

The President has not forgotten we are at war, he just wishes to see it as more of an law enforcement issue now instead, that is why you don't see any of the 'war on terror' rhetoric from him, but 'isolated extremists' instead and he and his administration seems to be annoyed that his 'nicer' approach toward A.Q and their Jihadi bethren isn't really working out after all.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Hello, my many friends.Yes, deferment dick has done it again. (And I hate, I really HATE, the fact that he has the same first name as I do!) Well, I guess cheney forgets that he, and not Muslim clerics or anything like that, PERSONALLY helped create half the terrorists that exist all over the world, even though they are just a small number anyways and not that big of a deal and the Obama way of dealing with this problem, which is to treat terrorism as a simple LAW ENFORCEMENT issue, is working beautifully, and as with Barack's handling of the economy, is turning up fabulous results.

Oh, and before the sailwinds or superlibs of the world try and come here with "Gombei (not my real name, see above), the president is NOT your boyfriend", just let me say that well, I DONT CARE!It's just the way I am rolling, dammit!

The amazing depths of GOP flip floppery and hipocracy are toooo much, and disgusting!

Well, anyways, the rest of us, the other voices in my head, ALL say that bush and cheney said nothing for days about Richard Reid, the shoe bomber. So that settles it

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sailwind: "Perhaps you missed it, Obama has been elected President and he is charge of Homeland Security now."

EXACTLY like I said... the hypocrites and their, 'That was then, this is now'. You're one of the group that think that Iraq and Afghanistan are 'Obama's wars', aren't you? Look, I realize that he's in charge of things in your nation now, but you simply cannot forget the person/people/events that lead to the situations we are all in now. I didn't miss a thing -- Obama is in charge of the mess left to him; it's just a bit shocking how willingly Republicans forget who made the mess in the first place (and cheered the makers on!).

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sailwind: "...instead and he and his administration seems to be annoyed that his 'nicer' approach toward A.Q and their Jihadi bethren isn't really working out after all."

It's worked wonders for relations in Europe and South America, as well as other nations. Sure, it hasn't worked well amongst the terrorists former administrations created, but I doubt the people you are at war with would simply lay down arms when the president changes.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It's unprecedented to see a former VP on the attack against the current administration. Former administration officials including former presidents remain on the Q.T. out of deference to their successors. Our government is becoming less of a republic and more on the scale of a parliamentary form of government where party discipline is becoming more apparent than anytime I can recall in our short history. I'd also wish President Obama would get off his band wagon and not refer these acts of terrorism as isolated incidents. Both Major Hasan (Ft. Hood massacre) and this Abdulmutallab have known connections to that Al-Queda leader in Yemen - Awlaki - from forensic email evidence recently retrieved.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Mr. Cheney is correct. After 9/11 Mr. Bush brought us no attacks by Islamoterrorists on the U.S. Less than one year on Obama's watch we've now had two.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Well, I guess cheney forgets that he, and not Muslim clerics or anything like that, PERSONALLY helped create half the terrorists that exist all over the world, even though they are just a small number anyways and not that big of a deal and the Obama way of dealing with this problem, which is to treat terrorism as a simple LAW ENFORCEMENT issue, is working beautifully, and as with Barack's handling of the economy, is turning up fabulous results.

Always sad to see libs who are completely out of touch with reality. Guess you won't wake up til it reaches up and smacks you in the face. Even then no doubt it will still be Bush's fault. At least until 2012 when we kick this loser out of the White House and elect a President again. Hard to imagine his replacement could possibly be doing a worse job then Obama. The reality is, that this is the Obama administration. What happens on his watch, is his responsibility. Not Bush's.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Cheney's an idiot.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Molenir: " Hard to imagine his replacement could possibly be doing a worse job then Obama. "

News flash: no one could be worse than Obama's predecessor... no one.

RomeoRamen: "After 9/11 Mr. Bush brought us no attacks by Islamoterrorists on the U.S. Less than one year on Obama's watch we've now had two."

So you consider this a terrorist attack? Well, then, my friend, you've just put your foot further into your mouth because the shoe bomber... ahem... which happened after 9/11... was a terrorist attack, no? How conveniently we forget. ZING!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

smithinjapan: Cheney helped CREATE half the terrorists that exist out there now.

Why do you say stuff like this?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

smithinjapan: Cheney... helped create half the terrorists that exist out there now"

SuperLib: "Why do you say stuff like this?"

smithinjapan says stuff like this because he doesn't know any better.

SuperLib: "Cheney's an idiot."

Why do you say stuff like this?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

SuperLib: "Why do you say stuff like this?"

We all know it's fact. Some deny it, like sarge, but even those who won't admit it know it to be true.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sarge: I do like how you side with superlib for one minute then flip-flop the next. Just like a true Republican.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"Obama kept a low profile in the days after the attack"

Heck, he's on vacation! Happy New Year, Mr. President!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Flip-flopped? Moi? Don't think so! I take to task all those who say things that are wrong.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sarge: "Heck, he's on vacation! Happy New Year, Mr. President!"

As are many. Anyway, I realize I'm bringing up the same incident over and again, but once again I remind you of how long bush took after the shoe-bomber incident -- not a peep from Camp David, where he spent more time on vacation in one term than any other president took vacation time in the short history of the US.

But back to cheney, I do agree with SuperLib in that the former VP is an idiot.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I don't understand why anybody would even bother retorting to a VP that had a impressive 8% approval rating.

Where was Cheney hiding whilst the most horrific terrorist attack occured on American soil?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Adverts, are you saying that former Vice President Cheney's criticism of Obama here is off-base?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Madverts: "Where was Cheney hiding whilst the most horrific terrorist attack occured on American soil?"

Shhhh.... the Republicans don't want to be reminded!

sarge: "Adverts, are you saying that former Vice President cheney's criticism of Obama here is off-base?"

He was never on base for the past 9 years, not even once. Is this some bizarro world argument where because he was never on base before and is completely wrong here he must be on base? Republicans like cheney and his extremely few remaining supporters are losing touch with reality more and more on a daily basis.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It's cheap political attacks from a VP who let's face it, was pretty un-popular and, since you declined toi answer my question, was the first offical to be hurried off to an underground bunker whilst nearly three thousand Americans died.

Frankly, not being a radical I don't realy have an opinion on the issue - their have been major flaws in airport security - flaws in Amsterdam I remind all you radicals not in the US - heads will un-doubtably roll and hopefully security will be dealt with accordingly.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

After 9/11 Mr. Bush brought us no attacks by Islamoterrorists on the U.S.

Selective memory? Richard Reid.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"Selective memory?"

Heh, only the other day I heard mutterings about "misleading the American people". You just have to hand it to the hardcore partisan head-bangers.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It is bizarre how Cheney is getting the media attention:

Republicans have few that want to step-up (risk) and take responsibility. They want more war (terrorist) spending (debt)

You need two sides to any war. -Terrorists vs all. Rep vs Lib. Federal Reserve vs everyone.

With fear people tend to spend more and will willfully endebt themselves easier.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

When the WTC was his by the planes dick cheney jumped in Air Force 1 and stayed 30K feet above the earth until they found the key to the root cellar and then he hid there for the next two weeks or a month. Talk about a coward.

dick cheney and his boss were real good with running their mouths. Remember "Bring'em on!!?" Yeah that one statement brought Al-Quaeda and the insurgents out of the walls.

There were no Al-Quaeda in Iraq, but after bush/cheney attacked Iraq there were many many middle-easteners who took up the mantra of Al-Quaeda and insurgency in response to attacking Iraq.

dick cheney is real good about running his mouth. Remember the war they started in Iraq and then 6 years later he walks away and the war is still going because the strategies of "Stay the Course" and limited thinking.

SuperLib got it exactly right. cheney's an idiot. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

News flash: no one could be worse than Obama's predecessor... no one.

Oh quite easily. I didn't care for Bush either, but Carter was much worse, Obama seems to be making an effort to outdo Carter, so yes, at least so far, Obama is worse then Bush.

I note you didn't bother to respond to the other point I made, that this is Obamas time. That he is responsible for what happens on his watch. I also noticed most of you are criticizing the messenger, rather then the message. I do understand of course. Its easier to attack Cheney, rather then defend the undefendable.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

If you're getting criticised by Dick Cheney, then you must be doing something right.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

There wouldn't be any so called attack on dick cheney if he didn't open his mouth and insert foot. dick cheney started the cheney attacks because he opened his mouth. If he'd keep his mouth shut and just go fishing or hunting, then there wouldn't be this article or the feeling about cheney by our crack staff of posters. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Molenir: "I also noticed most of you are criticizing the messenger, rather then the message."

Actually, we're attacking both. The messenger in this case is far easier as a four-time draft dodger and VP of the man who literally wanted to be called the 'war president', and who hid for weeks after 9/11 and then forgets about the shoe-bomber, etc. Do I need to go on?

Sorry, bud, but history has already proven bush to be amongst the worst leaders in US history, and the worst in terms of international relations, and that will definitely change to dead last within a couple decades if we survive that long. I will admit only one thing in terms of Obama doing poorly, and it's no surprise since we were saying it from the time he was chosen as the Democratic Party's representative: the last admin screwed things up SO BADLY that the next party would have no hope in hell of fixing it, and that could very well lead to the former party being elected again in 2012. You see, Americans are so very fickle that they forget who led them to hell and simply blame Obama for all the things bush started. Do you realize that when this kind of thread pops up there are literally those people who say that Obama started the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? As such, in answer to your lame question, no, they are not his wars in terms of having been started, but that he has to deal with currently, yes. And I know you guys are big fans of saying, 'Let's forget the past with cheney and bush (but Carter is the worst president!)', but you cannot inherit a war without it being started by someone and given to you.

I used to think you were a decent poster, but, uhh, the cart comes after, my friend.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

As Presidents, Obama and Bush are at the top with FDR and the other Federal Reserve debtor Presidents. That is their job as President -indebt the American populace and try to take over the world (assets). --And they are very god at it.

Explain why you are not bowing down to your President, war and not respecting the fiat debt and control the Federal Reserve has?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Explain why you are not bowing down to your President

Because we're Americans. We don't bow down to elected officials; rather, they bow to our instructions. It's called democracy.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

If you are USAF you already doing your bow-down + you are doing your job of increasing the fiat debt in the process indebting the populace. -You are making your masters happy and can hold your head high -just like Obama does.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Cheney sereved his nation with hon or and helped keep us safe after 9/11. Obama with his across the board cuts have made America an easy target for evil doers and a safe haven for Al Quida.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Badsey, apparently you've never served in the military. Until you do you don't know what you're talking about.

By serving in the military you are supporting your country like no others. You actually have said that you will protect your neighbors and and their property from foreign and domestic enemies. Don't get me wrong, everybody can't serve nor wants to, like dick cheney's 5 draft deferments. But to equate serving your country and bowing down are ludicrous.

But back to dick cheney. I don't recall another ex-president or ex-vice president continually attacking a sitting president. Don't get me wrong, there are those who have made a comment or two, but to take up a career of going from one place to another bad mouthing a sitting president is unknown. dick cheney has taken belittling to a new lower level.

I think cheney has lost a lot of his memory staying below ground in the glorified root cellar for so long. Maybe he just missed a lot of stuff. But the attempted attack by Abdulmutallab is no different then the Richard Reid case. It took bush 5 days to make a comment and then Reid was tried in civil court and has been sentenced to life in prison without a parole.

At least bush has the common sense to keep his mouth shut instead of doing the "Obama Hate Roadshow." cheney needs to take a lesson from bush. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

smithinjapan: We all know it's fact. Some deny it, like sarge, but even those who won't admit it know it to be true.

So it's a fact that Cheney created 50% of the terrorists in the world today?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

When the U.S. Military comprises more than 50% of the U.S. budget -I feel something has gone wrong and maybe the fear mongering and media attacks on Iran, Venezuela, North Korea should maybe end.

-War is a fiat debt game. =If your money was silver or gold I highly doubt the gov would waste it like they do.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Badsey now we agree with something. I agree that we're spending too much on war. You know peace costs a whole lot less. Not attacking countries just because you want to saves money.

Take a look at dick cheney. Listen to his rhetoric. he can't stand it because there might be peace some day. (Haliburton might go bankrupt.) Listen to his whining. he just can't stand it. he's whining and crying about the same things that went on during their administration. How conveniently he and the republicans forget the truth. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

adaydream; What is wrong with you? Cheney gave up a successfull business career to make America great. Cheney has every right to criticise. He held office without thinking of financial or political gain, a truely great man. The Obama led White House can criticise, but us patriots know Cheney was a force for good and made us respected worldwide.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

DickMorris sorry to tell you but the george bush Memorial War in Iraq made dick cheney and Haliburton rich beyond dreams. No he wasn't reimbursed while he was in office, but since he out of office I'm sure his piece of the war has been deposited into his banking account. dick cheney's connection to the war machine will enhance his family long after he's gone.

But he's good at oening his mouth and spewing diarrhea. Explain the difference between Richard Reid's attempted attack and Abdulmutallab's attempted attack. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

adaydream; you attack a god fearing man who loves his nation and criticises the bad guys now in power.

Cheney was involved in liberating Iraq not profiting, he is a good guy.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

DickMorris was dick cheney not involved in Halliburton?

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,121480,00.html

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/09/26/politics/main575356.shtml

http://www.crocodyl.org/wiki/halliburton

Read DickMorris, dick cheney isn't as disconnected as you may want to admit.

But knowing all these things, dick cheney still runs around spouting untruths and lies. Knowing how his administration really really screwed things up dick cheney still goes around trying to blame Barack Obama, while collecting his proceeds from Halliburton.

dick cheney is a traitor to the American people for the American dollar. dick cheney and george bush started the War in Iraq for gains from the oil they thought they'd get their hands on. Then Iraq stripped all control of the oil from the US and kicked out the 5 US connected oil companies out of Iraq.

Don't stop there, here's another bit of light reading.

http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Halliburton_Company < :-)

chunky cheney was the best vice president in amerikan history, as was g bush the best president ever. I would like to see the law changed and allow these dudes to run over and over again and become permanent icons in amerikan history. is that ok?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

run over and over and over again

0 ( +0 / -0 )

“We are at war and when President Obama pretends we aren’t, it makes us less safe,” Cheney said. “Why doesn’t he want to admit we’re at war? It doesn’t fit with the view of the world he brought with him to the Oval Office. It doesn’t fit with what seems to be the goal of his presidency—social transformation—the restructuring of American society.”

That's right, Dickster. From the mouth of the greatest war criminals since George W. Bush and Ehud Olmert.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

We are at war and when President Obama pretends we aren’t, it makes us less safe

Then why the increase in US troops to Afghanistan? Cheney the Dick is just pissed off that he and bush weren't smart enough to prioritize Afghanistan over Iraq.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

adaydream - There wouldn't be any so called attack on dick cheney if he didn't open his mouth and insert foot.

Lets be honest here. Cheney could say the sky is blue, and many of the people here would be offended. The messenger is the problem, not the message, which regrettably is spot on.

Smith - Sorry, bud, but history has already proven bush to be amongst the worst leaders in US history, and the worst in terms of international relations, and that will definitely change to dead last within a couple decades if we survive that long.

You're one of the few that doesn't recognize just how much damage Carter did to the US. I agree with you by the way, that Bush wasn't a good President. He was a decent President, but he made a lot of mistakes. He definitely rates below Clinton, Reagan, and his father. I'd even put him below Nixon, who was a decent President who made way too many mistakes. Obama though, every policy decision he makes, seems to put him more on par with Carter then with Clinton. He is certainly not the leader the country needs. While he may be popular overseas, this does not make him a good President. In fact quite often the opposite is true. I'll give him this much, his terms not up. He can improve like Clinton did after the Republicans took over Congress. He still has time. How good or bad of a President he was, will be judged when his term is done.

adaydream - DickMorris was dick cheney not involved in Halliburton?

This old saw again? Come on, you have to know better. You're a smart guy, surely you can't be this stupid. Or are you just throwing this out to keep the hatred alive? You know the truth. He ran Halliburton, and resigned. When he went into office, all of his assets were put into blind trusts, and he had no knowledge of what they were. His stocks in Halliburton were divested. If he made anything off the company during his time in office, it was because the fund managers invested his money in it, thinking it was a good investment, not because the man had anything to do with the company. Seriously, if you're going to accuse a man like this, try to come up with something real, not the tired old lies we've been hearing for years, that have long, long since been disproved.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Molenir what is this article about? It's about the White House's comeback to cheney's statement of criticism. It's about nothing else.

I wish that he would go talk about skiing, fishing or even hunting. You'd never hear a word from me, even if JT posted an article about him. But Molenir we both know that that's not what this is about. < :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Some very depressing news to start the new year with I'm afraid- - pollsters say 58 percent of Americans now favor the idea of waterboarding the alleged perpetrator of a failed man-caused disaster aboard a NWA jet, on Christmas Day ( a coincidence, I can assure you ).

I shudder to think that Dick Cheney has won, and all - - literally all of humanity - - has lost.

Apparently the president's eloquent and lawyerly assessment of the attempted bombing, that it was an isolated incident, did not get through to the American people. And I fear that something has radicalized large numbers of Americans.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Molenir what is this article about? It's about the White House's comeback to cheney's statement of criticism. It's about nothing else.

Right, but because of the subject of the article, Cheneys criticism becomes a valid topic of discussion, particularly as it relates to the truthfulness of this article. Is the white house really being honest in dismissing what Cheney said? Or was Cheney correct in his statements about what the White House was or was not doing? Were they really asleep at the switch as Cheney seems to imply? Based on the initial remarks by Napolitano, its hard to reach any other conclusion.

I shudder to think that Dick Cheney has won, and all - - literally all of humanity - - has lost.

Well, all humanity except those who favor not having to fear terrorist attacks anyway. Who think that the job of the President, is to protect Americans. The rest of humanity who enjoy the prospect of daily bombings, well if thats ok with them, then whatever. And despite what you and the President have said, this is not some lone nutcase acting alone. This was not an "isolated" incident. This was an extremely serious breech of national security, that should never have happened. I realize that Obama is not directly culpable, but it comes down to him. The rules in play were those that the people he appointed, were running. If they screwed up, as the so obviously did, then he has to take the blame for it.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Ultimately it does fall on Obama's shoulders. I'm expecting him to see how the terrorists have adapted to our security measures and then make changes accordingly.

As for the intelligence, that's the hardest part to change. The guy was reported by his father, but you don't want a situation where anyone can report anyone else and suddenly that person is on a no-fly list. At what point does intelligence become credible and substantial enough to cross the line and consider that person to be a specific threat? That's a question no one can really answer.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Cheney had a chance to kill OBL and stop terrorism cold but he blew it. He was a total failure and basically let 9-11 happen and 3 thousand people die due to his incompetence, along with the boy blunderer.

Now he has the gall to critique a real leader in Obama who can keep the USA safety as a priority and not just the profits of oil companies or war profiteering outfits like Haleburton.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"Cheney had a chance to kill OBL"

You're confusing Cheney with Bill Clinton.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

time for cheney to just SHUTUP!!!!! mistake after mistake was made when he was in power. thousands of iraqis have died since the so called "liberation". he was in white house during 9/11 & had intelligence which could have possibly thwarted that attack, but didn't act on it. list goes on & on. SHUTUP already!!! sarge, what i think zurconium means is bush & cheney had obl cornered in tora bora , but let him slip away.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Sarge said:

You're confusing Cheney with Bill Clinton.

Wow, you mean Bill Clinton had Ossama bin Laden cornered by he CIA and ready to destroy and called it off too. I thought only Bush and Cheney made such a monumental error and let the #1 terrorist of the world get away.

(Obama admin.) unlike the last administration—we are not at war with a tactic

priceless!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

lol, so silly. You guys are once again making my point for me. It doesn't matter what he said, because it was Cheney saying it, its automatically wrong. He could say the sky was blue and you'd still be calling him a liar.

And theres a huge difference between having a man slip away when they were actively pursuing him, and being offered the guy, and deciding not to take him. Clinton did a lot of things right in my opinion. Overall, he was a good President, but he made some collosal blunders, OBL being one of the more obvious ones.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

What a sad and bitter old man this Dick is.

molenir and sarge,

once again wrong on fact. So predictable as you guy do not read news, you only watch fox news which is pure propaganda. The fact is Clinton authorized the OBL kill but the CIA pulled the plug at the last minute. Look it up and face the truth for once.

US military had OBL trapped and could have captured him but Bush and Cheney let him go. Fact. Look it up. Bush and OBL family are linked at the hip, that is why Bush let him go free.

good old Dick Cheney - a true patriot, a man whose only concern is for the security and safety of his homeland (lets not mention the money he stands to make through his connections to companies who make billions of dollars through ongoing wars)

You're not even worth arguing with anymore. You're just putting out nonsense. And you say I watch propoganda... Sad, truly sad.

Molenir - unable to back up his argument again. Sad, truly sad.

Why do they even fight back at Cheney's criticisms? Are they concerned that Cheney is actually right and they need to find a way to counter him for public opinion?

mtimjones: Unfortunately there are still a lot of sheep in the US who lick up the spittle cheney and go let dribble out of their mouths without thinking, so the White House has to go no damage control about this sad, sad man.

Bingo! And bang on, my fine tomodachi.Tis indeed sad that in America, and on JapanToday, their are many Americans who just do the all-American thing and BLINDLY follow cheney, who was the worstest vice president EVER,in all of American history. But hey, logic never was there strong suite, and they wouldn't recognize a sylogism if it bit them, ahhahahaha ha.

Well, anyways, cheney's unrelenting negativeness is NO match for Barack's awesomeness.Terror is on the wane, the US economy is picking up steam and the president's popularity is off the charts.

It is about time someone pulled the curtain back on the Obama peace through lawyers and weakness policy. Now the bad guy has a lawyer and the authorities have missed a chance to gain valuable intel to stop the next attack.

Cheney doesn't know what he is talking about. The best way to fend off his criticism is to put the ear plugs when he talks.

Molenir, that is the best you can do. Just give up? Facts are troubling things I guess for those that avoid the truth. Dont worry, you are not alone. Many of your comrades in fantasy are still looking for WMD in Iraq. Hey, seriously, there is still a chance they are there.

@amerijap

LOL. Maybe we should when he talks, period. :]

I found this statement to be particularly amusing. Not because of the poor grammar and spelling, though that was amusing too. No, I laughed because I immediately thought of Spiro Agnew. How anyone can claim that Cheney was the WORST VP EVAR, when compared to some of the previous VPs, is quite frankly amazing. It shows a complete lack of knowledge of American History. Oh, and lets not forget Aaron Burr, who far more then accidentally shooting a buddy, actually murdered someone while serving as Vice President. Cheney the worst, don't make me laugh.

Haven't looked at this thread for a few days. Anyway, Zurc, when all you do is spew conspiracy theories, and nonsense, I have to ask myself, whats to argue about? Should I trouble myself to point out the nonsense in each of your posts? Why? That would make what is otherwise a harmless enjoyable diversion into a job. And one I'm not getting paid for. So sorry. I'll respond occasionally, but when the manure you're shoveling gets too deep, I'm going to find a cleaner pasture.

Molenir,

you French now? Retreating seems to be your specialty now. Once again reality is proven to have a liberal bias as a sage on TV once said. Conservatives live in their own valley of fabrications and when caught just give up and flop over.

Just try to dispute the facts. You can at least make a effort even though you know very well you just have to retreat again if you do try.

Its so simple dealing with the bottom of the barrel conservatives. So simple.
