And let's not forget, his presidency was Made in Russia.

...and that stupid hat was made in China....

They should make it Made in America Month, and maybe move it forward to give everyone something to look forward to and time to plan something meaningful for it.

Next week for one week sounds rushed. A smokescreen with too little smoke. Almost as if they want to get it out of the way as soon as possible.

Asked whether the president would use his "Made in America" week to commit the Trump organization and his daughter's brand to make more of their products in America, rather than overseas, Ferre was non-committal. "We'll get back to you on that," she said.

In other words, Made in America is just another Trump "euphenism".

How sad, it means Melania can't attend!

There, fixed it for ya.

For too long our government has forgotten the American worker, especially the Democratic Party.

There, fixed it for ya.

Ever heard of minimum wage?

For far too long the Democratic Party has forgotten the American worker by forcing businesses to remember the American worker, which resulted in those businesses going overseas to hire other workers. If only the Democratic Party would remember the American worker by allowing businesses to forget the American worker, everything would magically become better.

We need a savvy businessman like Trump to make better deals, like the deal he made with Carrier. He got Pence to give them a giant tax discount to stay in Indiana. That money was spent on automation, reducing the need for workers, and Carrier delayed firing people for a few months then laid off 600 workers anyway. This is the kind of leadership American businesses need - reducing taxes on the business and reducing regulations so that they can treat the American worker the way they treat the Chinese worker until they just hire a robot to replace both. #MakeAmericaSweatshopAgain

Ouch. That's one hell of a slap to the face of Trump supporters. Not even an explanation.

So it's just more sloganeering for the cultists to chant at their rallies. His PR crew needed to come up with more memes of fewer than 7 words. After en-biggen-ing the DC swamp and embellishing it with gold fixtures (at the taxpayer's expense) Trump and the Republicans can no longer use 'drain the swamp'. And of course 'lock her up' can no longer be used with Trump, his family members and so many in the Trump administration at risk of being charged with crimes.

So speaking of "Made in America":

http://forward.com/fast-forward/377081/wapo-investigation-finds-worker-protections-wanting-in-ivankas-factories/

So not only does Ivanka use foreign labor for her manufacturing, she won't even adhere to industry standards when doing so. The fashion industry is notorious for exploiting workers and only grudgingly makes concessions for worker safety after scandalously preventable accidents cause newsworthy levels of fatalities, but even these bare-minimum protections are too much for the Ivanka brand.

Not a slap in the face, just any easy point of distraction for people who already decided they don't want the president or the US economy and its workers to succeed.

Trump is running the country now so naturally his viewpoint about some things will change from when he was just a businessman. Won't even wait for an answer to the question and already speculating what will be said.

My main point being that not every product can, will, or should be manufactured in the USA. The US is not the best in the world at making it everything and shouldn't try to be. This allows trade with other countries and helps their people to have jobs too.

The products that ARE made in USA will be showcased this week and I see the that as a good focus for the US economy and workers.

This is the most insidious lie the Trump campaign or its volunteer surrogates spit out, but at least they usually have enough shame to make it implicit that everyone who disagrees with the President wants to see America destroyed. But to state it outright man, that's some next-level BS man.

Trump and his presidency (if you can call it that) is an absolute joke. Once a con artist always a con artist. Wake up and smell the coffee GOP supporters. It's only going to get more and more embarrassing for you.

with this clown in office. Make America Weak is what he's actually doing if you think about it.

BlackLabel: My main point being that not every product can, will, or should be manufactured in the USA.

Trump used illegal immigrants to build Trump Tower. He also imports foreign workers for his resort. And his wife was an illegally working immigrant as well.

Are you sure you picked the right guy to fight for American workers?

12 ( +12 / -0 )

Yes, as American workers are the ones who elected him.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

Yes, as American workers are the ones who elected him.

Im sure you mean a minority of American workers, right? Teehee ;)

American workers are the ones who elected him.

It is my belief that American workers are never wrong. Especially if they wear hardhats and chant USA! USA! USA! and other catchy slogans long enough.

The Donald will make their dreams come true. There is no doubt. He is a billionaire with lust to spare.

Russia is NOT the problem so much as polticians and the media making it a major issue. And it is not plaguing the POTUS as it is a nuisance. Only the media labels it as "plaguing" a highly opinionated view, because they are making it an issue.

Has anyone thought about what the real and important issues that POTUS and Congress should be and must address and exactly what POTUS has been doing while all this "opinion" filled argument continues?

"Made in America week" as it tries to focus on issues that matter to the president's base

Hmm. I wonder if this rallying of his base has anything to do with the most recent polling.

Showing Trump at 36%.

See, Trump's base has been eroding since he took office because not all those who have stuck with him till now are as far gone as his would-be defenders here are.

About those people, the dead-enders, let me just point out, once again, the nature of the problem:

They don't care. About anything. Other than power.

They don't care about facts. They don't care about truth. They don't care about honor.

They don't care that Russia helped Trump get elected, in violation of our laws, traditions and democratic process. In fact, they see it as a feature, not a bug.

Because for them, and let this be crystal clear, POWER is the means and the end. Democracy is a tool to seize and remain in power, only so long as you got the people on your side. When you don't, democracy is a liability.

Its all about power.

I think made by. American People is better for Japan Inc. in USA.

So Trump says he's going to fight for the American worker and protect them from outsourcing...but he won't say he will end the practice himself? And pointing that out means I want American workers to fail? Seems like the person covering for Trump's outsourcing wants American workers to fail.

So far he's succeeded in only making China great again.

And let's not forget, his presidency was Made in Russia

It was made up of Americans that were fed up with The Washington establishment, had nothing to do with Russia, all Russia did was bring more to light what an awful candidate Hillary was, the people wanted an outsider and that's what they got.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

If you were fed up with the establishment you should have voted for Sanders. He has a history of working for the American worker, not scamming them.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Except that Trump products are all made overseas, and now Spicer defends them for the same reason GM, Ford, Walmart, and other products defend outsourcing. As usual, it's okay for Trump, but no one else.

If you were fed up with the establishment you should have voted for Sanders.

I would never in a million years vote for a socialist.

He has a history of working for the American worker, not scamming them.

Socialism is a scam.

Aren't those just buzzwords? Can you be specific about what you don't like about him?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Straight up fake news from Trump:

"Everybody was saying, 'Well, you won’t get any mining jobs,' we picked up 45,000 mining jobs. Well, the miners are very happy with Trump and with Pence, and we’re very proud of that."

What he's doing is taking the 40,000 jobs created in logging and mining, of which about 39,000 are in logging, and then dropping the logging tag when he presents the data. From the article: "The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) estimates there are roughly 50,800 coal mining jobs nationwide, 800 of which have been added since Trump took office. (The six months before that, under President Barack Obama’s administration, 1,300 coal jobs were added.)"

So he's actually lagging behind the Obama administration during his last 6 months. And his response was to give his base some fake news so he can hear the cheers.
