With 20 million likely to have died, I'm proud I followed official advice as best I could. Thank you to everyone who did their bit!!!

Covid has not gone,if your lung were damage, and the second bout will be fatal, lots of people are walking around with compromised Covid lung

Not likely to pay attention to WHO announcements for obvious reasons.

Not good news for drug companies, but I’m sure they will come up with another plan.

Japan did a fairly good job of managing it. I was able to go into the office and work uninterrupted throughout the entire time despite many who posted here calling for more draconian measures. thankfully the authorities or nobody else paid any attention to that.

I'm sitting here thinking in vain what them obvious reasons could be.

I supposed it's time for zero-covid and major lockdowns then? All those painful days have past thankfully

It is a more difficult process for some people.

Seems so. You think...

Seems the obvious reason is that there isn't any.

I find it interesting that they said follow the science, but the instant one asks questions, something that is supposed to be done with science especially medical science, they call you names and I admit I was sucked into the mentality during the pandemic.

Ask certain people here I was all for the vaccine and masks.

I got vaccines as soon as I could, as did my brother in Canada, 2 weeks after his 2nd shot of vaccine he had a heart attack, my 2nd shot was 2 weeks after his and 2 weeks after my second shot I had a massive heart attack the exact same place and type as my brother.

Now I noted the males in the family have a certain hereditary heart problem, but just asking was there any connections between the vaccine and what triggered 2 heart attacks both 2 weeks after the same second shot, is enough to get you canceled on most comment sections.

I still got my 3rd shot but no more at this point until I see more per reviewed research.

The WHO doesn't has my confidence, even if they declared water wet I would still do my own checking from now on.

That is not what has happened, the criticism is reserved for people that keep asking the same loaded questions when the science gives them answers they don't want to accept. When the data of literally millions of patients clearly points to one thing, and people keep trying to say a different thing based on their personal experience then it becomes obvious their interest is not about the real situation but to impose those personal conclusions.

The WHO has perfected useless announcements

The announcement is not useless, as written in the article it reflects the opinion of experts that think a new variant of the virus that could prolong the increase of risk above the normal is not likely to happen. This allows health systems to redirect resources with some basis.

Exactly. Great illustration of how it happened.

The WHO was running around in circles chasing its own tail.

And most egregiously, the WHO was praising China's transparency with the situation.

Virusrex go back the past 2 years, I was always backing you up, but no!

My doctor in Japan was very worried to even ask the question "when was you last covid vaccine and when I asked if any possible relation with my vaccine and heart attack, their reaction 3 doctors was we cannot ask or suggest that.

They were visibly frightened.

Yes, I really appreciated the relative freedom we had, no mandates. I'm glad to be living in Japan.

"It is therefore with great hope that I declare COVID-19 over as a global health emergency," said WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, adding that the end of the emergency did not mean COVID was over as a global health threat.

Falling on deaf ears.

The world stopped listening to this group 3 years ago.

We had the first two vaccines but my doctor suggested I waited during my first year of post-cancer, which I did. We decided against the booster. No problems from the vaccine.

We did not have covid unless we had a very mild one we didn't realise it.

Throughout we followed any issued guidelines. We are now mostly maskless. Hospital visits are an exception. Hand sanitiser too.

I find it interesting that they said follow the science

Did they say that? Was it not more an issue of creating a logical plan to ease the problem? A new disease was spreading fast, many were going to be hospitalized, and many waiting for other types of hospital treatment were going to have to wait longer. What were the options?

> Did they say that?

Yes! Unless you were actively trying not to see the news over the past 2 plus years.

Fauci in the USA, Tam in Canada, every simple so-called expert on every news broadcast, every single director of health services in every developed country.

These lines were repeated ad nauseam!

Follow the science, listen to the science, etc ..

Or are we going to do a Justin Trudeau and suddenly have collective amnesia on what was said?

WHO is committed to following the science,

WHO never reached the bottom of the investigation of the origin of covid due to China's influence, but now WHO has stamped the end of covid, this too must have been done under the pressure of China.
