We're going to follow the science and the recommendations of the experts," Biden told reporters. "So it's highly unlikely there'll be a million people on the mall."

Its reassuring to have a guy as president soon who takes stuff like this in stride, as opposed to a guy who will have a week long temper tantrum about his party plans being ruined and pushing conspiracy theories about it.

...progress on vaccines signaled "light at the end of the tunnel."

Wouldn’t rely on that, equally often that light is the incoming train. lol

What vaccine roll out? Nothing moving here in Japan. Probably waiting for a Japanese one is ready to ensure the cash stays here.

I beg to differ. The vaccines will indeed be like a magic bullet, if one counts something that takes another 4 to 6 months to get herre as being as fast as a bullet.

These vaccine has to be frozen thawed and mixed with a saline solution and administered within an hour, or the vaccine is no good

Too many countries are putting all their faith into the vaccines. Australia and New Zealand have proven that diligence and strict counter measures are the only ways to stop the spread of this virus.

We may never totally eradicate the Covid-19. Even with vaccines it will still be many months until we can return to some same life we had before it.

Australia and New Zealand have proven that diligence and strict counter measures are the only ways to stop the spread of this virus.

To be fair, Aus, NZ are simply following advice from Taiwanese and South Korea because these countries went through SARS and know how to deal with these kinds of outbreaks. They intentionally went against the WHO's advice, closed their borders and put health before economy.

Trump on the other hand, despite outwardly dissing on the WHO went about exactly as the WHO has been advising the world, ie keep your borders open, keep your economy going, practice good hygienne and social distancing. Look at how that turned out.
