This is epochal. We're seeing lands forested for thousands of years turning into prairie.

Hats off to the firefighters, Reminds of the Dust Bowl days. Though there have always been forest fires throughout the US West, the devastation cause by the numerous recent burns has probably never been seen. Decades of poor resource management, coupled with extreme events most likely attributed to climate change could do even greater damage to the world.

And to make things worse the fires contribute to climate change, plus further foul our long fouled air and water.
