Happy Day
Burning Bush- it is not. Media has already noted that Atlanta had nothing to do with race, so not sure why it is mentioned here. Even if it were rising, it wasn't triggered by a statement made by Trump a year ago. Crime is rising in Democrat-run cities due to police defunding and refusal to prosecute, targeting all.
Dems lost a lot of the Black and Latino vote in 2020, so this is just an attempt to add a new group to the their plantation.

The above a perspective of those from a majority culture (somewhere) refusing to accept the reality racism permeates US society.
Once again the global far right are denying racism is real.
Once again the global far right are making claims reasonable people wouldn't believe.

I think it's their moment to rise up and be heard. I agree that the Atlanta incident wasn't focused on race; it's not the same as a white supremacist targeting a black person because they are black.
That being said, I can't say I blame them for using their time with microphone in hand to bring up things that have happened in their lives based on them being a minority. Bush's post provides the perfect example of that where he just kind of shrugs and asks if anti-Asian racism is even worth talking about.
At work there's a massive push by the Asian-American community to bring awareness to the issues they face. It will be a good learning experience for everyone, and it shows the never-ending struggle for diversity and inclusion. It's always good to talk and engage.

But the FBI says the majority of hate crimes against Asians are from Black folks. So your "global far right" conspiracy theory has failed.

The above an example of the number of ways what's been written can be understood.

If they can force transgender child, gay parents, GAYbcs and BLM activism books on U.S. children, why not anti-Asian books?
Strangerland
No bro-science justifying a bigoted view here. This conclusion is entirely logical. No, really, it is.
Carry on.

The only discrimination/racism I see is against Asians, who, for example, are excluded from elite US universities by quotas. Other groups get preferential treatment--affirmative action. (except working-class white males)

I think it's mainly envy, but sometimes hate.

Its a very good example of the issue at hand. White posters playing victim to distract from the issue at hand.

No, I think we just don’t believe it’s a growing National crisis
But we have to believe everything the left media say? Why? If that were the case, California and Hawaii would be as dangerous as Chicago

It’s never too late to teach your children that we all have the same feelings regardless of skin color.

We? Who's we? It's rare when those pushing the ruling class, establishment position, the position held by the privileged class, and those pushing to maintain the power of the dominant demographic are willing to even try to understand what life is like for many NOT from the dominant demographic.

No, I grew up around Asians, my wife is Asian, my kids are half Asian, so much for that pot hole mistake.
I wish that were true.
I have no goals, but I do think the left lose their minds when people start disagreeing with them as if their opinions matter ONLY. I do have a fundamental problem with that. A long time ago people could have a debate and disagree without any problems, now it’s like the left wants everything to fall in their favor and they push their opinions, values and viewpoints as correct and devoid of challenging or questioning it and if you do, you’re a racist, you’re whatever euphemisms they want to label you as and that’s never good for a healthy discourse and a lot of us and growing by the day are tired of the bullying by the liberal thought behavioral police. We can agree to disagree, but calling someone a Nazi for not agreeing with you is just rude and pathetic and shows those people are not interested in dialogue, they just want to push and impose their worldview perspective.

It's the rhetoric and comments from some of the posters here which contribute to the increase in the hate and also the ignoring of all this hate. This time it's the Asian community. Last time it was anyone looking just a bit Middle Eastern.

Face it, not everyone is a straight WASP. Get used to it. The fat guy lost.

There's always been such bigotry and dumb stereotypes, but after the 'black-white' race war that Dirtbag Don tried to ignite last year, one that most Americans don't want - I guess it's 'time' for the haters to bash East Asian type people. After all, news medias here have painted China as 'dirty' by showing open air markets and remarking about their cuisine and eating habits. And the lippy sassybrat Diaper Don has stirred up the crap with his immature 'China Virus' and 'kung flu' jokes.
The treasonous Trumplovers are always looking for excuses for their stupid haterd and are always spoiling for a fight, always looking for a scapegoat because that's what fascist pigs do. They're too cretinous to understand that viruses can and do develop anywhere and now they're focusing on people of Oriental descent.

Like the majority of the most powerful liberal elite?
Like most Democrats do having the most sway over minorities and their communities.
So why hasn’t the Democrat done enough for this poorer communities? Funny, they never, ever want to talk about that part. 60 years and what can Democrats say that was their biggest achievement in helping these communities?
starpunk
Middle Eastern people are classified as Caucasian by anthropologists due to face feature shapes and hair textures and such even though they are not 'white' (European descent). Some ME/Arabic people could pass as 'white' due to this but that hasn't stopped the idiots from their dumb hatred.
Now with the CoVid virus and partially due to the media and the fact that Trump's scummy thugs didn't get the 'black-white color war' they tried to ignite last year, now those dummies are using CoVid as an excuse to kill Oriental/Far East Asian descended people. Rotten supremacist dirtbags, always looking for trouble.

No, Trump wasn’t the one that started any riots, he tried to stop them, the Democrats wouldn’t allow him to use and deploy the National guard. All of them happened In blue states and around a lot of minority small businesses were looted and burned to the ground and where were BLM? How about Antifa? Did they help these people rebuild?
It’s disgusting you’re right, but that’s sadly nothing new. You will always have your bigots.
Why? That’s where the virus came from, so Trump can’t say it because China refuses to take responsibility for this virus, give me a break. If the virus came from America, do you think for one second the Chinese would care about our feelings if they called it the American virus, if we got upset you think they would apologize for calling out the origin of the virus? I think you know the answer to that.
So much hatred that more and more black men and Latinos were going for Trump, you don’t do that if you know the person is racist, but we get it, white conservative, add racism to that, helps the left, well, it did before. I guess Candace Owens is a racist....not sure how, but I’m sure the left will find a category for her, give it time. Racism should never be taken lightly, but to charge any group as racist is absolutely dirty and despicable. It should be used when all the facts are are in order and you have sound proof to make the accusation otherwise you’re becoming part of the problem.
bass4funk
I do stand up for them, I’m just saying this is nothing new, now that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be vigilant, of course we should, but this has been an ongoing problem for over 100 years and stop making it a conservative problem. California, NYC and Hawaii are not conservative places.
because most of the minorities don’t vote for them, so how can you show what you can do if nobody votes for you, and now we go back to the Democrats and so once again what have they done over the last 60 years?
I do, very much so, but since the GOP don’t govern these cities and liberals do, why can’t they help these people properly?
I disagree
Hiro S Nobumasa
Why are Japan and China so silent about this racist anti-Asian hatred and killings which could blossom into full genocide in America if left unchecked ?
Asian -Americans and Asians in the USA must be feelin what the Uighurs are expriencin in China's Xinjiang province too , yet Tokyo, Beinington and yes the UK 's silence are quite deafening.
bass4funk
That’s never going to happen, never, but I do agree Asian leaders need to address the issue more, it always helps to put light and proper context into these situations.
Come on now, way bit of stretch there.
mrtinjp
Yep.. the Asian-Americans have moved and are moving away from the left and hence this type of subtle disinfo..this suits the left narrative.. that Boulder shooters ethnicity does not suit the narrative and as such has been dropped.
SuperLib
heh No. There's no way more Blacks and Latinos voted for Trump.
