I think what has been manifestly demonstrated is that globalization comes with many threats and that the first instinct of nations states is to protect their own. the speed at which borders have been closed (even in the EU) says a lot. And the hige economic damage arising from the realization of supply chain, tourist, trade and other interdependencies is also likely to lead to action being taken to mitigate those should the need arise again in the future.
