"It is startling to see an American president who is so comfortable with Communism."
But it never startled you to see how comfortable countless US Presidents have been with genocidal dictators and murderous theocrats. They even backed some of them up with cash and chemical weapons.
Oh, I forgot. They weren't communists. They were ok.

Get with the program! There's a new bogeyman in town.

Guantanamo Bay military base is a "hostile lease" that should be given back to the people of Cuba if that is what they want. This is a lease that is being enforced by military force and should be stopped. A strategic position that is not needed anymore if you have an intelligent military and strong Presidential leadership.
The biggest issue here is all the 1950's American cars that are still in Cuba. Will Obama try to destroy the classic car culture of Cuba or help to get these classics refurbished to their former glory.

Frightened of questioning the message you've been spoon-fed, and conditioned (through a daily pledge of allegiance) to obey, fight questionable conflicts and die for, while your owners use the oldest trick in the book - divide and rule - to set you against your fellow man, even Americans.

Cuba isn't a threat anymore and now the US can spend more time and resources advancing our interests in other parts of the world.

It's okay to be frightened. The Cuban Missile Crisis, Radical Islam, the "death to america" chants from Iran, the North Koreans gives the right for western leaders to show some resolve.
JFK initiated a naval blockade (quarantine) of Cuba. Obama would've done NOTHING, you know I'm right.

President Obama must not be seen as accommodating the Castro family who has ruled the Island nation thru intimidation, persecution, and depriving their citizens of the most basic human rights for 57 years with their one party system , while he sips Mojitos with Raul @ a baseball game, but rather during his programmed address on Cuban TV must call for the Cubans to demand of their government the right of self determination, Freedom of the press, and the ability to elect their own Representatives, when Raul (steps down ) in 2018 That my friends is a Real Legacy. If not the visit will be an endorsement of more of the same.

The frightened often reside there.

Except when they allowed Krushchev to park those warheads in their country back in '62. Its time to show America not forget that incident. Wake up the "new" relationship with cuba can only benefit cuba, not the US.
We need to keep Gitmo.

Just a few more months and hopefully, Obama will move and stay with his new friends in Cuba. Obama and the Castro brothers are two peas in a pod.

The three-day trip to Havana beginning next weekend marks the first time a sitting president will set foot in Cuba in nearly nine decades. . . . Starwood, the hotel chain whose brands include Sheraton and Westin, is expected to receive a license from the Treasury Department in the coming days to operate hotels in Cuba, - article
Ninety years and finally Ninety miles of sea water can be crossed with the confidence of a more unified Caribbean Sea and the end of the Communist Red Scare. Cuba is a better friend than enemy and it's time to show Americans know the difference.
