Get over it, Jill!

Far beyond my support for Hillary Clinton, which has always been considerable, I care about the integrity of our democratic system of voting.

Hillary is far too classy to ask for a recount. but if a recount in these 3 states uncovers systemic problems, irregularities, or worse -- election fraud, then I think it's important to expose it as soon as possible.

Without election integrity, we have no democracy.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

“We’re doing this to ensure the integrity of our system,” he said.

Isn't this the FBI's job? Anyway, three birds-one stone for the Greens. Showing Americans "who" cares most about the integrity of votes, increase the brand (Trump lesson learned), start setting the stage/issues for 2020.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

Breitbart, ever the bastion of journalistic ethics (snicker), is headlining this topic as the Clinton campaign pushing for recounts, even though the actual article they wrote that follows the headline says the exact opposite (that the Clinton campaign has actually said that the results are the results). But of course, being as ethical as they are, Breitbart has naunced the article so that the intellectually disadvantaged will not notice that the article does not even remotely match the headline.

I understand that according to WI law, if Stein pays for this scam, it has to happen (although with less than 1% of the vote she shouldn't have standing legally). The fact remains that besides ripping off her followers the only possible beneficiary of any overturned ballots would be Clinton.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

There is more chances of petitioning of faithless ballots from the electoral college. Recent allegations made by Washington Post concerning the miss use of Charity money to finance his presidential campaign should be looked into by the IRS and report findings before the actual electoral voters votes in next month.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

"Trump’s team ignored questions about the looming recounts. Set to assume the presidency in 55 days, he was focused instead on the daunting task of building an administration from scratch."

Also, they have to clean up the gigantic mess, both foreign and domestic, left by Obama and Clinton.

"Hillary is far too classy to ask for a recount."

Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha, OMG,to have Hillary and classy in the same sentence is preposterous, are you completely unaware of her myriad of scandals and lying? And she is STILL under FBI criminal investigation!

It Would Be a Mistake for Trump To Give Mitt Romney the State Department:

@Lizz the only possible beneficiary of any overturned ballots would be

Truth? Fairness? Finding out if someone tried to 'rig' the system?

Recounting may end up being a waste of time and money, but if there were attempts to manipulate the vote counts I think most people want to know. Except perhaps The Party and the anointed one-elect. And the ruling class elites lining up at the altar of Don in hopes of filling their pockets even more.

Remember, most Americans voted for Clinton; 2,000,000 and counting.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

The recounts should be fun. Will the GOP speak out against confirming votes after running a campaign saying the system is rigged?

5 ( +7 / -2 )

It sure will be fun, Super, after the recounts, and it's confirmed that Hillary actually won every state, she will become the next president!

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

failed Green Party candidate Jill Stein took new steps to force recounts across key Midwestern battlegrounds -- article

This recount is great news. The alt left Mrs.Bill Clinton supporters will once again get their hopes up over this only to have their dreams crushed for a second time in two months; and just in time for Christmas, too. . . .

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

SuperLib: "The recounts should be fun. Will the GOP speak out against confirming votes after running a campaign saying the system is rigged?"

In the GOP's word, the only way it is not rigged is when it actually is... and they win. Even the suggestion of a legal recount is 'rigged'.

ELECTION BREAKING NEWS: Electoral College Might Cheat Donald Trump and Elect Hillary Clinton

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFE4b-duAhM

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

If the recount gets the same result, which it most likely will, then it should help counter the 60% of Trump supporters who believe the election is rigged. Or, knowing them, maybe not.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

If one make a list of 51 states (not 50) that have a presidential election and the population for the states, one can see that Mr. Trump can win the electoral college by concentrating on the first 30 states. It would take Ms. Cllinton to be the winner in the first 46 states. What does this mean? 1. There is no need for nominees to go to Iowa for 6 electoral votes. California, Pennsylvania, New York and Florida control the first four electoral treasure. 2. Millions of dollars will be spent on TV and other ads in the top 30 states. 3. The voters have a choice - go crazy because of the media or move to a quiet state like Iowa. The electoral college system did exactly what it was supposed to do - prevent uninformed people from voting. A popular American football player who makes millions of dollars and inspired other people protested, but didn't vote. The election was not rigged.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

The recounts are pointless, as Hillary well knows, but it gives the press something to report about. The counting system is already quite efficient and accurate, when results are close, they are informally recounted as a matter of course. And in the event of any election fraud, it would likely be distributed evenly between the supporters of either candidate, meaning that it would not change the outcome. The states in question would not make much of a difference even if they did fall in Hillary's favor.

It is over, the fat lady has sung, Donald Trump is the president elect, and Hillary can start collecting a much larger salary from the Clinton Foundation.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Persuasive data showed that the voting disparities were likely due to demographic differences between urban areas (which, in the states targeted tend to use paper ballots) and rural (which tend to use electronic). Still, if someone is willing to pay for it, a closer look would at least help to alleviate doubts.

Mrs.Bill Clinton supporters...

Tex, you never get tired of referring to a woman by her husband's name, do you? I understand that, coming from Texas, you've not been introduced to some niceties of modern life (such as, perhaps, indoor plumbing and toilet paper), as a hint, we do not refer to Donald Drumpf in that way as he prefers it not be done. We also do not refer to him as Mr. Ivana Zelníčková, Mr. Marla Maples, or Mr. Melania Knauss both because the number of his wives would make it confusing and because 2/3 of them have foreign names that are difficult to pronounce, much less spell. It's also just plain rude - but again, in Texas, "manners" tend only to be extended to gun-bearing males.

ELECTION BREAKING NEWS: Electoral College Might Cheat Donald Trump and Elect Hillary Clinton

She should at least get electoral college votes in each state that reflects her share of the vote. Same goes for Donald Trump.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Doesn't the vote have to be certified by the House and Senate when they reconvene, both of which will be held by Republicans?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

It is over, the fat lady has sung, Donald Trump is the president elect, and Hillary can start collecting a much larger salary from the Clinton Foundation.

Not so fast on that one either.

Australia ceases multimillion-dollar donations to controversial Clinton family charities

The federal government confirmed to news.com.au it has not renewed any of its partnerships with the scandal-plagued Clinton Foundation, effectively ending 10 years of taxpayer-funded contributions worth more than $88 million.

http://www.news.com.au/finance/economy/australian-economy/australia-ceases-multimilliondollar-donations-to-controversial-clinton-family-charities/news-story/219577919ed8dfbd79cf808321234eba

And that's not all

Norway is expected to slash their contributions to the Clinton Foundation by 87% now that Hillary has lost the presidency. After contributing roughly $5mm per year to the Clinton Foundation between 2007 - 2013, the Norwegian government decided to boost their donations to ~$15mm and ~$21mm in 2014 and 2015

And just like that, 2 out of the 3 largest foreign contributors to the Clinton Foundation are gone with Saudia Arabia being the last remaining $10-$25mm donor that hasn't explicitly cut ties or massively scaled by contributions.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-11-25/australia-joins-norway-it-cuts-clinton-foundation-donations-0

Saudia Arabia??? Very interesting... I guess if Hillary can't play any more, why pay.

It's on ... donations drying up, what else is Hillary going to do but try the recounts?

0 ( +3 / -3 )

The globalists have decided to build a rocket ship and find another planet to subjugate.

The globalist-elect is having his 'family' scour the world looking for new places to build hotels and golf courses.

Have Ladbrokes set and over/under on how many hotels and golf courses his 'family' will have built by the end of his tenure in both the US and the rest of the world?

Has Trump released his tax info so the world knows who all he owes hundreds of millions to? Follow his money - and his golf courses.

Then go to L.A....or a state without voter ID. But that would be prohibitively expensive and would not work out in the interest of Clinton/Soros et al that are undoubtedly paying to gin up further controversy against Trump.

Not at all Mad. Just the opposite. I supposed I'd be just as illogical as you are if Hillary had won.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Well I'm glad for you that you're happy to openly contradict yourself on the things you say you hate the most. Like you do when you defend Putin's barbary in Syria and call Hillary a warmonger in the next breath. I'm inclined to think you know you've been had, but sticking to your guns in the only possible way forward. Sad!

I'll be intrigued to see what the recount actually brings. Don't put the pitchfork back in the barn just yet ;)

What are you saying? A recount is imperative to uphold democracy but hillary is too classy to ask for one? Wow, she's got great priorities. Image over ethics.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

"Hillary is far too classy"

Okay. as soon as you read that you know the writer of the comment is either being sarcastic, drunk, or just some hopeless depressed Hillaryite who just can't accept reality.

Hillary wasn't too classy to deleted tens of thousands of emails. Hillary wasn't too classy to hardly meet the press and let others do her campaigning. Hillary wasn't too classy to get pop stars to get numbers into her rallies.

And most telling - she was so UNclassy that instead of going to meet her supporters and thanking them, she sent out Pedesta and spent the night crying.

There is no class to this lady at all.

As for Jill Stein? Her campaign was a complete waste of money. And so is this. Please make sure people account for every cent donated to this. The money would be better given to homeless.

What a disgrace.

Face it. Most of you here said Trump couldn't win. He won. Stop crying, and get back to work.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Face it. Most of you here said Trump couldn't win. He won.

He won the electoral college, but didn't win the hearts of the people. He is much less popular than Hillary.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Stein is petitioning for recounts for one reason, and one reason alone, for the money. She has collected far and above the amount needed for the recounts, and the money keeps pouring in. Hillary's supporters are so desperate that they are donating money hand-over-fist to Stein. I wonder when Stein is going to tell everyone that she has already collected several times as much money as is necessary for the recounts? Probably no time soon.

And yes, this press about recounts is going be clicked and read by a great deal of disgruntled Hillary supporters, so these stories will continue unit Trump is eventually inaugurated.

He won the electoral college, but didn't win the hearts of the people.

If he won the electoral college, then by constitutional definition, he won the election. There are no if's, and's, or but's about it. It is over, Hillary knows it's over, Obama knows it's over, world leaders know it's over, and are already making preparations.

And anyone who is foolish enough to vote with their heart is going to get their heart broken. I have met Hillary, I was once a supporter, going so far as to caucus for her back in 2008. Hillary is respected by many, liked by few, and loved by none. You have no idea (yet) how lucky you are that she didn't win. I could care less that Trump won, but I greatly care and am very grateful that Hillary lost

Eventually her staffers and others have worked with her will begin to talk about what kind of person Hillary is, and what an awful human being she is. What amazes me is that such stories have not come out sooner. Trump is loud, raucous, and stupid, but Hillary is mean (almost insanely so), vindictive. and will ruin any person who dares to stand up to her. Nothing and no-one who gets in her way is tolerated.

I cannot see how so many people can be so utterly brainwashed by political systems and institutions, and support people who are truly bad. Trump is certainly not my definition of "good", but Hillary far and away exceeds my definition for "bad." That Hillary was even the democrat's main candidate says volumes about how dysfunctional the system is. The same could be said for Trump, the republican party is so dysfunctional that it was completed hijacked by an outsider.

Trump won legally, and that is all that matters. The recounts will not change the results one iota, the whole process is nothing but another political strategy designed to loot millions of dollars from suckers.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

The electronic voting system is not connected to the internet so there can be no "hack". Any tampering would have to be a massive internal conspiracy.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

@Sangetsu. I disagree with you that Trump is stupid. But the rest of what you said is about the best analysis I've read anywhere about the election. If this were Twitter, you should be retweeted!

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Desperate libtards grasping at straws. Pathetic. Michigan already recounted. Perhaps in the recounts the dead Democrat voters, illegal immigrant votes, and otherwise illegitimate democrat votes will be removed? Trump could request recounts in all other states to remove invalid votes as well. Then, he'd probably also have won the popular vote!

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Frederic: Perhaps in the recounts the dead Democrat voters, illegal immigrant votes, and otherwise illegitimate democrat votes will be removed?

More post truth politics. No matter how many studies you point to, no how many judicial decisions you can put in front of them, the emotional voter still holds up his wall and tells us his feelings are more important than facts. And he will get support from those around him in the echo chamber, thereby creating a parallel reality from which to make decisions.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

I don't see what the problem is, all we heard from Trump was "the election is rigged", and now they might prove that that is true...you'd think he'd be happy...

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I think Hillary is already preparing for next match up four years later. She has experiences as defeated.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Geez I recon most could have been solved if they had Voter ID wich is the norm in Europe for some time.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"He won the electoral college, but didn't win the hearts of the people. He is much less popular than Hillary."

I dunno, if you discount the 3 million illegals and the million dead people who miraculously rose up from their graves to vote for Hillary, Trump won the popular vote Big League!

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Looming recount? Lol woe the left wing socialist media is trying hard to make fake news. There is no looming recount and no need to give this, fake news legitimacy by pretending it's, relevant. Now if a, real recount was being done about the only effect is, wiping out 3 or 4 million illegal Hillary voted, the Ines cast by dead people , illegal aliens and those Democrats bussed around, to vote multiple times.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Gingrich is recommending Giuliani for Secretary of State position. Romney thinks he will bet. Trump's owning business in Turkey is on topic today.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Zodiac: Geez I recon most could have been solved if they had Voter ID

And here it is again. Not only does the right spread misinformation about fraud, they double down when they tell you that ID laws will solve them their fake problem. Court rulings say the exact opposite.

Todd: . Now if a, real recount was being done about the only effect is, wiping out 3 or 4 million illegal Hillary voted, the Ines cast by dead people , illegal aliens and those Democrats bussed around, to vote multiple times.

And again. Pure fake statements from the right, their followers, and their politicians. They look at the court cases and throw all of them out and replace them with a new reality to placate their emotions. If 5 or 6 or 7 people in a thread can spread the same information then they help each other create an entirely different reality. It really is a fascinating case study for psychologists.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Very doubtful given that Trump's has soared since the election, not to mention the stock market and Consumer Confidence Index...

Very doubtful given that Trump's has soared since the election

He's down by over 2 million votes now. That's YUUUUUUUGE!

Face it, he got shellacked in the popular vote. But as he said, the vote was rigged, and he ended up winning the presidency even though the people hate him.

ROTFL! I would have never believed that I would see "Hillary" and "classy" in the same sentence. Thanks for a belly laugh.

I suppose you were trolling... if not, good grief.

In the event, anybody who believes that the millions of dollars appearing overnight in the collection account are simply a grassroots effort might as well believe in Santa Claus. Can you spell George Soros? Wall Street?

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Trump is clearly not less popular than Hillary. Polls change in line with circumstances and his favorability ratings have soared since the election which was almost three weeks ago.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

In the GOP's word, the only way it is not rigged is when it actually is... and they win. Even the suggestion of a legal recount is 'rigged'.

Here we go again! Liberals NEVER, EVER learn! They never learned anything in 1980, they didn't learn it in 2000, 2010 or in 2014 and this month as well. How many times can you get a shellacking, your head handed to you and still try? Democrats are a selfish bunch of whiny kids. If conservatives were to attempt to do the opposite had Hillary won, the Dems would have never allowed or would stand for it-period! They want to make fools of themselves again, please be my guest, I welcome it, apparently, that bodyslam wasn't hard enough for them. Let's try one more time.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Trump finished a strong second in the popular vote. No shame in that.

Hopefully the 2 million vote advantage for Clinton will grow by inaguration day. I think that should be a central point for the media to talk about while he is getting sworn in. We need to make sure the GOP understands that the majority of people are skeptical and will be watching them. Maybe it will provide some kind of hedge.

And it will be fun to troll McConnell. He specifically said that the American people should choose the next Supreme Court nominee. Should Democrats hold him to his word and block all Trump nominees? Heh...nah. Not our style.

Washington (CNN)Hillary Clinton's campaign said Saturday it will take part in efforts to push for recounts in several key states, joining with Green Party candidate Jill Stein, who has raised millions of dollars to have votes counted again in Wisconsin.

But, in a post on Medium, Marc Elias, the campaign's counsel, said the campaign's own investigation has not uncovered any evidence of hacking of voting systems. In the campaign's most detailed comments to date on the recount, Elias wrote that while the campaign was not going to contest the results itself, it has decided now to take part in the effort to "ensure that it is fair to all sides."
