'A good day': Trump claims

Reminds me of the arm and legless knight in Monty Python's Holly Grail: "It's only a flesh wound"

8 ( +17 / -9 )

Let the games begin!

10 ( +14 / -4 )

So the full report also clears Trump of any wrong doing, ok now it’s time to investigate how this fraud of a Russian probe was started in the first place.

-13 ( +8 / -21 )

Sad liberals. “There is no such thing as collusion anyway! That’s the only reason why he was exonerated.”

-15 ( +9 / -24 )

Like another Teflon Don, Trump got by with a 'we know you did it, but we can't quite prove it' defense.

When one of the takeaways is "Trump tried to interfere, but his underlings intentionally disobeyed his orders," it not only shows a man who has no respect for the law, for the office in which he currently sits, the Constitution, or the American people... it also shows he's an inept leader who cannot even hire underlings who'll obey orders, or tell him to his face that he's ordering something illegal.

Either way, a pathetic excuse for a President.

A good day': Trump claims

Reminds me of the arm and legless knight in Monty Python's Holly Grail: "It's only a flesh wound"

Hahaha, lol, oh, SimondB, I know this is gonna be a bad day for you and all the Trump haters like Adam Schiff who simply cannot admit that Trump has been exonerated from any collusion or obstruction. He ought to be kicked out of Congress for lying about having evidence of collusion.

Let the games begin!

Let the investigations into the real criminals begin!

-14 ( +6 / -20 )

When one of the takeaways is "Trump tried to interfere, but his underlings intentionally disobeyed his orders," it not only shows a man who has no respect for the law, for the office in which he currently sits, the Constitution, or the American people.. blah blah blah

Here's a takeaway - no collusion, no obstruction. Have a great day!

-12 ( +5 / -17 )

great start to the day indeed. Will be great to see all the Trump haters trying to pick out a sentence and tell us it means Trump is really guilty of something after all.

Enjoy!

-11 ( +7 / -18 )

But the report does recount how Trump repeatedly sought to intervene in a probe that has hovered over the first two years of his presidency.

Yes, a great day indeed. It's not every day that we get a president not exonerated of obstruction.

8 ( +12 / -4 )

It is remarkable that so many cheer "no collusion" when the Mueller report explicitly states that it did not investigate nor express an opinion on "collusion". And if you read the report (yes, some people actually do this), you will discover that Mueller reports plenty of evidence that Russia and Trump acted in a coordinated manner. A simple example is the Trump team giving the Russians their polling data on the Midwest states, and then following up with updates. And then the Russians targeting these same states with their misrepresentative messaging. What Mueller did not discover was evidence of an explicit agreement (document or recording between Trump and the Russians agreeing to conspire).

How can any American cheerlead this behavior? And worse, lie about it!

14 ( +18 / -4 )

I can't wait for corrupt, biased Barr to gather a team of 13 angry republican lawyers to investigate how this happened. Smells like the DOJ is cooking up another witch hunt.

8 ( +12 / -4 )

A 'good day."

That's one headline. Here's another"

Mueller Found “Corrupt Intent” Repeatedly in Donald Trump’s Actions Toward the Russia Investigation

10 ( +14 / -4 )

 no collusion, no obstruction.

Let's quote from the report:

"While this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him."

"If we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state."

"The President's efforts to influence the investigation were mostly unsuccessful, but that is largely because the persons who surrounded the President declined to carry out orders or accede to his requests."

"The conclusion that Congress may apply the obstruction laws to the President's corrupt exercise of the powers of office accords with our constitutional system of checks and balances and the principle that no person is above the law."

"Gates believed that Trump Jr. said the information was coming from a group in Kyrgyzstan and that he was introduced to the group by a friend. Gates recalled that the meeting was attended by Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Paul Manafort, Hope Hicks, and, joining late, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner."

"Each of these efforts by the President involved his communications team and was directed at the press. They would amount to obstructive acts only if the President, by taking these actions, sought to withhold information from or mislead congressional investigators or the Special Counsel."

So basically Trump weaseled his way out through aides disobeying him, being so stupid that he couldn't know that working with people from Kyrgyzstan might just be working with an unfriendly foreign power to influence an election, and willfully misled the American people.

Gotcha. I took plenty away. Good day!

14 ( +17 / -3 )

Let the games begin!

I think that a lot of Americans are getting tired of the "games". Maybe the Dems should concentrate more on the business of government and less on the "game".

-8 ( +6 / -14 )

Staffers had been told by the White House to cooperate fully with Mueller's team and answer their questions truthfully.

"Now the tables have turned, and it's time to investigate the liars who instigated this sham investigation into President Trump, motivated by political retribution and based on no evidence whatsoever," said Trump's re-election campaign manager, Brad Parscale.

Sigh... Democrats are continuing to claim they have evidence of obstruction/collusion of a crime that never happened. The Democrats will continue to perpetuate their witch hunt. At least until the 2020 election.

-9 ( +5 / -14 )

I think that a lot of Americans are getting tired of the "games". Maybe the Dems should concentrate more on the business of government and less on the "game".

Nah. We watched how the republicans successfully blocked Obama and then won the presidency, but elected a moron that cost them the House.

We'll do the same with the exception of electing a complete imbecile president; we don't want to lose the House after all.

2 ( +8 / -6 )

Just can’t admit you were wrong. No such thing as “not exonerated”. It’s proof of crimes and indictment or no indictment. Which one happened here again?

Totally would have been guilty of obstruction if only his inner circle had obstructed like he told them to? Nope. Not even close.

-11 ( +5 / -16 )

Ok, it's over. Can we move on to something else now?

Sigh... I didn't think so.

-9 ( +5 / -14 )

Trump repeatedly sought to intervene in a probe

The probe was about whether he sought to intervene in the election, not whether he sought to intervene in the probe, I thought.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

The Pubs are in full force trying to excuse away this report that truly exposes Trump for being treasonous and anti-American.

They are so pathetically morally devoid, they are defending these actions so they can maintain power. It's more important to them that their boy is in the house, than their country is. Power over ethics.

10 ( +15 / -5 )

The probe was about whether he sought to intervene in the election, not whether he sought to intervene in the probe, I thought.

That's not how obstruction of justice works. Or, do you prefer investigators ignore when attempts are made to interfere in the investigations?

8 ( +12 / -4 )

@blaclabe Sad liberals. “There is no such thing as collusion anyway! That’s the only reason why he was exonerated.”

Making things up? Speaking on behalf of 'liberals' for whatever reason (closet 'liberal'?)? Hearing voices that aren't there?

@serano  no collusion, no obstruction.

Someone hasn't read the report, only parroting slogans to be used at Trump's next rally.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

That's not how obstruction of justice works.

But who really thinks there was “collusion” between Trump and nefarious Russians?

Hillary lost, that was all.

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

Typical Trump MO: Push others to take the risks of illegal actions while just skirting the line himself.

Mueller has punted to Congress and the American people the question: Is Trump fit to be president?

10 ( +12 / -2 )

But who really thinks there was “collusion” between Trump and nefarious Russians?

Hillary lost, that was all

Apparently the FBI had enough concern about collusion. Did you miss that?

8 ( +12 / -4 )

Trumpophiles obviously haven't bothered to begin reading the report:

Mueller's investigators unpacked this trunk full of lies from Trump campaign officials. The "investigation established that several individuals affiliated with the Trump campaign lied to (Mueller's office) and to Congress, about their interactions with Russian-affiliated individuals and related matters. Those lies materially impaired the investigation of Russian election interference," the report stated

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Amerika's rich and powerful know how to squeeze every last drop of justice from the weasel words "not knowingly" and "not willingly" that is their gold-plated "get out of jail free card". Historical precedent shows that when the office of the presidency is threatened the wagons are immediately circled around the person of the president whatever crimes may have been committed. Still, the Dems are now in the saddle of Congress and have enough ammo to play the "Injuns" and go after the coward hiding in his office behind Barr and scalp the power of the "president with no clothes" whom all the world knows is singularly unfit to be POTUS.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Sorry Trumpsters. It's just the beginning of new investigations into Trump and his dodgy dealings. Trump is putting on his usual brave (fake) face but he knows he's still in deep doodoo.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Chip StarToday  07:59 am JST

Trumpophiles obviously haven't bothered to begin reading the report:

Discussing anything with them is like shouting at people on TV and expecting them to shout back. Anything more than a down vote is a waste of time and effort.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

I do not see any point in this fracas. Democrats dragging the last presidential election wanting to turn over the result. This is silly and does not benefit America at all.

-7 ( +5 / -12 )

It is remarkable that so many cheer "no collusion" when the Mueller report explicitly states that it did not investigate nor express an opinion on "collusion".

Crazy, it’s over, really. There was No collusion, zero, nothing, nada, nichts!

And if you read the report (yes, some people actually do this), you will discover that Mueller reports plenty of evidence that Russia and Trump acted in a coordinated manner.

Ok and AG Barr as he said in the press briefing he disagreed, there are arguments that he second guessed and scrutinized. Remember, on the so called obstruction debacle, there are opposing points of view. So you and Trump haters will see it one way and the Trump fans and admirers will see it another way and there’s nothing that can be done about. Time to move on.

Lol, ok and then...

How can any American cheerlead this behavior? And worse, lie about it!

That’s your personal opinion, but many of us are happy that the tables are turning and now the new DOJ will look into the causes of real collusion and how this entire witch-hunt started and I hope Comey, Clapper and Brennan have good lawyers. Funny, how in 1998 the same screaming Democrats were whining and screaming about the Starr report being released, Nadler was literally jumping out of his skin and they all tried their best to keep it from seeing daylight, now the hypocrites demand? Lol

I personally, hope the Dems do exactly what the GOP did and push this to the point where they lose seats and they’re walking right into that same trap. So I want them to push this and completely forget about legislating, all of it helps Trump.

-14 ( +2 / -16 )

There should be enough evidence of obstruction to have a serious conversation about impeachment. The only reason why Trump couldn't fire Mueller was because everyone he asked refused.

Smaller point....but burns me up. Sarah Sanders openly lied about the "rank and file" losing faith in Comey. She literally made that up and lied to us. That's the type of people they are. Lying means nothing to them.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

I think it’s very very telling how meuller detailed the relationship of Hillary Clinton, Fusion GPS and Natalia Veselnitskaya, with meetings before and after the “Trump Tower Meeting”

Oh wait. That was omitted.

Have to protect the Queen of BIG money.

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

I've never seen liberals grasping at straws so frantically in my life.

I thought liberals hate straws... weren't they just trying to get them banned?

-13 ( +3 / -16 )

I see what I want to see.

I read what I want to read.

If I like what I see/ hear, then that must be the truth.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

There should be enough evidence of obstruction to have a serious conversation about impeachment.

Oh, please go for it. Lol

The only reason why Trump couldn't fire Mueller was because everyone he asked refused.

And he still did which was his constitutional right. Good luck with that one.

Smaller point....but burns me up. Sarah Sanders openly lied about the "rank and file" losing faith in Comey.

Now I think it wasn’t necessarily a great thing she lied, but when you take about the lies of every previous administration particularly the last one and there is a Christmas list of them, hers wasn’t that bad, not applauding it, just saying, the Democrats are really grasping at straws now.

She literally made that up and lied to us. That's the type of people they are. Lying means nothing to them.

I remember this lie...

https://youtu.be/QXzu3Ea269o

Again, Democrats have nothing.

-11 ( +3 / -14 )

I'd personally like to see the full un-redacted report but I doubt anything else new would come to light that we already don't know.

So there it is, like it or not Trump didn't commit any crimes in regards to conspiring with Russians or whatever. The media wasted two years on this (instead of focusing on things that really matter, like the genocide going on in Yemen). But oh no, President Orange is a Russian agent! Ugh..at least now you can focus on trying to defeat him in 2020. Oh what's that? Still hung up on Russia? Give it a rest and move on!

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Barr has set the bar really low.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

"Now the tables have turned, and it's time to investigate the liars who instigated this sham investigation into President Trump, motivated by political retribution and based on no evidence whatsoever," said Trump's re-election campaign manager, Brad Parscale.

I wouldn't do that if I were you, Brad - too many blacked-out sections in the part of the report dealing with possible Russian collusion. 139 of the 199 pages, in fact, according to the report just beneath this one on JT. Do you know what's underneath the black bits? Didn't think so.

Better leave that one alone, say "Look! Over there!" and concentrate on dealing with the next Trump scandal.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

"What about these notes? Why do you take notes? Lawyers don't take notes. I never had a lawyer who took notes", Trump said to McGahn.

McGahn responded, *"I take notes because I'm a real lawyer and taking notes creates a record and a record is not a bad thing."*

Trump then replies, "I've had a lot of great lawyers, like Roy Cohn. He did not take notes."

This is hysterical. It's like a script written for Saturday Night Live.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Hubert G

The Democrats have to continue with the disproven Russian Probe, what else have they got, an unelectable lineup with crazy policies, it’s their only chance.

-5 ( +4 / -9 )

Democrats are sore losers. 2. Russiagate is a distraction to prevent Ziongate, which would rock the foundations like a massive earthquake on the ring of Fire. 3.russians are shi at golf.
-4 ( +4 / -8 )

It was Mueller time... now it's time to pay the Barr tab.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

So now that we know the Russians didn't interfere with the election the real investigations into the American (Obama) interference in the election begins. Watch for the Panic. Grab some popQorn. Guantanamo!

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

"This is a narrative about a vast sprawling insidious cover-up by the president of the United States. That's what it is and we see the act of the president . . . one act after another covering-up, lying, making up stories, directing his aides to cover-up. This is a terrible event and it is all there in this report that the country has waited for. Reading this report is exactly what the country needs. The information is there about the conduct of the president of the United States and how grievous it is. ... This is the most damning document, you know, in Watergate we didn't have the document that became public. ... This is a sprawling account of a insidious event in our history such as we have never been able to press our eyes up to the glass and watch in real time as Mueller has laid out for us."

--------Carl Bernstein (just a few minutes ago)

4 ( +5 / -1 )

After Trump finishes his second term, he's going to star in a remake of The Fujitive, playing falsely accused Richard Kimble.

-6 ( +4 / -10 )

Many of us never believed Trump was directly inviolved in any collusion. He doesn't have the nouse for taking on the Ruskie Oligarchs. Way out of depth.

But his underlings, props and sidekicks certainly had the "gotchas" to do so.

No - what the Mueller report clearly shows in these early days is the same old Trump - a Lying, Paranoid Bully.

He has always got his way, fair or otherwise, and just because he holds the highest position in the land (world), he never imagined he may have to follow laws, principles, ethics, protocol that come with the trust of such a position - potus. Obstruction of Justice is how he has lived his life.

He is the essential sycophant in dealing with tyrants and a bumbling mess in dealing with the realities of his own people.

If any Trumpeez think this is over, then you've been eating from the same burger of delusion.

Go Rinny.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Well it's obvious to everyone he tried to obstruct justice. There's just a certain group of people who are happy that he might get away with it is all, but they certainly don't think he's innocent.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Guys, it's over. Two years of collusion and conspiracy and breathless hope, and nothing. Now, suddenly, the media/Democrat (but I repeat myself) narrative turns to "obstruction". Once that is done, they will turn to something else. Their hyperbolic hysteria really knows no bounds.

There are no bombshells here, Trump's back isn't against the wall, the walls aren't closing in, whatever meme the media chooses to march in lockstep with and propogate.

It's over.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

Serrano: It was Mueller time... now it's time to pay the Barr tab.

I have to admit I gave you a thumbs up on that. Well played.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Serrano: It was Mueller time... now it's time to pay the Barr tab

This was a very clever jab :)

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Multiple people: no obstruction

Not according to Mueller. And while it's nice the AG gave his opinion, he's a guy who has gone on record saying he didn't think Presidents could be charged with obstruction. So we knew his opinion before the report even came out.

I'm on the fence if the Dems should go for impeachment now or wait for the other investigations. The GOP wouldn't let it pass, but it would put the evidence of all the times he meddled out in the open, then it would force the GOP senators to vote it down.

I want them to have to stand up in front of their constituents and say, "No, multiple attempts to fire Mueller to stop the investigation and admitting he fired Comey to stop the investigation isn't obstruction of justice." They might as well just pull their pants down and be done with it.

Actually, I take that back. They'd vote against impeachment for obstruction because there was no evidence of collusion.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Barr can get lost, just read the report...I've only had time to read the first quarter of it but its incredible how "suggestive" it is that Trump had his hand in all of this.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Apparently the FBI had enough concern about collusion. Did you miss that?

I am not American, so I don’t pay as close attention as many.

But you make me curious - did the FBI find collusion, after all?

Trump is a complete fruit loop, but the whole idea of collusion between him and the Russians to defeat Hillary is just laughable, and I can say this without the political biases of those who desperately wanted either Trump or Hillary to win.

I am still laughing that in 2019 the Americans are still so focused on this!!

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Knew it all time, desperate Liberals throwing a tantrum because their favourite Hillary Clinton lost the election, that was obvious from the start just have a look at how many people were at Clinton Rallies compared to Trumps where the crowds were out the door.

Tucker Carson summed it up - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJEw0b9lCmY

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

Look at the Trumpers here engaging in their fantasies and fairly tales... Mueller exposed the filth that surrounds this administration.

Mueller indicted and successfully prosecuted six of Trump's most senior associates...

He confirmed what everyone knows (even Trump knows, he just can't admit it), that Russia engaged in a sophisticated inluence operation to help elect him president (and the Trumpers fell for it)...

He confirmed Stone was in contact with Assaunge and Wikileaks - both of whom hate America and will do anything to harm us...

He tried to obstruct justice at least four times but was only held back by his underlings being insubordinate...

He lied and tried to cover up the Trump Tower meeting with Russians...

The cesspool that is Trumpworld has been exposed to those not blinded by Putin's propaganda to see...

Next comes the SD NY Attorney investigation of "Individual -1" and his many other crimes and corruption...

Keep you lawyers Donnie - you're still going to need them...

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Anyone can “suggest” anything, especially when they hate you. Luckily evidence of a crime is required not just suggestive speculation.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

Well it's obvious to everyone he tried to obstruct justice.

if you can’t get him on collusion, try to get him on obstructing the investigation of the purported collusion! It’s genius!

But also laughable :)

These days with the Russian stuff and Brexit debacle, I am thankful that I don’t hail from either of the big U’s.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Who has read the 400 page report, anyone?

3 ( +5 / -2 )

There'll be no crucifixions today!

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Who has read the 400 page report, anyone?

Doubt most readers have. I haven't, working on it though. Just too busy today, weekends around the corner.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Yeah some, 4 day long Easter weekend in OZ so busy putting on BBQ for friends, will read rest Tuesday but so far nothing in report we didn’t already know, I suppose it gives Libs more false hopes to cling to but not much else.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

The Mueller Report is available online from many sources. Probably download makes for easier reading or use text to speech. This is one link. Highlight and right click to open.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

The endless smearing is what results in government not getting things done. Repubs did the same with fast and furious albeit they didn't take an endless hissy fit. Dems are gonna need a good platform soon or they'll lose everything in 2020.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Well it's obvious to everyone he tried to obstruct justice.

Trying is not the same as “did.” We don’t convict people on “possible or likely or almost scenarios.”

There's just a certain group of people who are happy that he might get away with it is all, but they certainly don't think he's innocent.

And there are people who think he’s innocent of any wrongdoing and the Dems are chasing more rabbits down holes.

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

It’s not over, not by a long shot. The current occupant of the White House and cheerleaders are claiming exoneration, but the truth is quite different.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Trying is not the same as “did.” We don’t convict people on “possible or likely or almost scenarios.”

Attempted murder is not a thing?

4 ( +6 / -2 )

If the Democrats want to lose the next election, they are doing exactly the right thing. Focus on issues that most Americans (outside the coastal cabals and the Twitterverse) don't really give a toss about. Waste oxygen on posturing instead of policy. You are guaranteeing four more years of The Donald.

There are so many more and pressing issues in the US- the opioid crisis, crumbling infrastructure, the militarization of the police, to name just a few. These things deserve more attention than sifting through the turd of the Mueller Report, hoping to find a kernel of corn.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

Look at the Trumpers here engaging in their fantasies and fairly tales... Mueller exposed the filth that surrounds this administration.

You're just angry Trump won’t be spending a single night in prison.

Mueller indicted and successfully prosecuted six of Trump's most senior associates...

He confirmed what everyone knows (even Trump knows, he just can't admit it), that Russia engaged in a sophisticated inluence operation to help elect him president (and the Trumpers fell for it)...

I see Pardons coming, a lot of them...

He confirmed Stone was in contact with Assaunge and Wikileaks - both of whom hate America and will do anything to harm us...

Stone hates America as much as Sanders hates socialism.

He tried to obstruct justice at least four times but was only held back by his underlings being insubordinate...

But not enough to go for a conviction, meaning, there was some doubt.

He lied and tried to cover up the Trump Tower meeting with Russians...

The cesspool that is Trumpworld has been exposed to those not blinded by Putin's propaganda to see...

No collusion, final report.

Next comes the SD NY Attorney investigation of "Individual -1" and his many other crimes and corruption...

Keep you lawyers Donnie - you're still going to need them.

Again, this will not go anywhere. But I do hope the Dems keep it up, so that they can step aside and lose the House again, that helps Trump a lot.

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

if you can’t get him on collusion, try to get him on obstructing the investigation of the purported collusion! It’s genius!

But also laughable :)

I don’t see why. Obstruction of justice is a very serious offence.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Again, this will not go anywhere.

There is no way you could possibly know this. I don’t think even you have an anecdote for this one.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

@zichi....

I got though to Sater’s Overtures to Cohen to Travel to Russia, Volume one (Russian Interference) in an attempt to educated myself.

At this point I was questioning the logic in doing so, without adequate knowledge of the America political electoral system, large sections, whole pages are redacted.

I also started to question my own sanity. An understanding of the role of the Internet Research Agency would be helpful.

Commenters might find this link easier on the eye.

Read the Mueller Report: Searchable Document.....

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/04/18/us/politics/mueller-report-document.html

4 ( +4 / -0 )

When referring to Internet Research Agency role, in actual turning function into an overall mission and the quantifiable success rate in influencing public opinion at the ballot box.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Mueller did the investigation, honestly, but also wanting to protect the office of the president. It protected Trump because it does not want to implicate the presidential office on purpose. It's necessarily manipulative, in the lack of accusations, and greasy Trump may think he escapes with silly words of self victory, but he's wrong, and the results of the Mueller investigation will be weighted heavily in the minds of Americans so that even as an unlikely impeachment won't go forward, it doesn't have to. With the election 18 months away, Trump's lying reign of stupidity is done in Washington.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

I think it’s very very telling how meuller detailed the relationship of Hillary Clinton, Fusion GPS and Natalia Veselnitskaya, with meetings before and after the “Trump Tower Meeting”

Oh wait. That was omitted.

Have to protect the Queen of BIG money.

We can always count on a deep dive into conspiracy theories.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

itsonlyrocknroll

yes! requires some serious amount of attention and backtracking and re-reading several times. Some links are going down, probably due to a rush on those sites. I see the link I gave is already 404.

The NY Times version is good and more easy on the eyes but can do nothing about the brain. I think it was Thomas Edison who said " the purpose of the body is to carry the brain around."

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Obstruction of justice is a very serious offence.

What a cunning plan! Have an investigation about Russian collusion, but conceal that it is actually cleverly setting him up for an obstruction of justice case!

(With that and the Carlos case here in Japan I have no idea what “justice” is anymore.)

If the defeated want to go down that rabbit hole rather than just focus on the next election, good luck!

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Trumpophiles obviously haven't bothered to begin reading the report:

Who has read the 400 page report, anyone?

And I doubt the Trump-haters have either. In their eyes, Trump is guilty until proven guilty, guilty, guilty with even the slightest shred of doubt as proof of guilt.

Look at the Trumpers here engaging in their fantasies and fairly tales

Look at the democrats and Trump-haters who can't get over Hillary's loss engaging in their fantasies and fairy tales as well. For nearly two years, the democrats and their allies tried to undermine and obstruct Trump's presidency.  If the Trump-haters can't get him on this, then THERE"S GOT TO BE SOMETHING OUT THERE to indict him on and use as a foundation for impeachment.

Pelosi and her gang are already looking for new straws to latch onto Anything. They've done everything they can think of to slow Trump down, and yet he keeps moving forward.

Well it's obvious to everyone he tried to obstruct justice.

Trying is not the same as “did.” We don’t convict people on “possible or likely or almost scenarios.”

Attempted murder is not a thing?"

That's right, spin more fantasies and fairy tale accusations.  So now we have Trump "attempted murder"?  This will be the democrat's new investigation?

It's been entertaining watching the liberals, Trump-haters and democrats implode.

Predictable response, and wrong as usual. One might say that every day he isn't behind bars is a good day for him.

The Mueller Report is available online from many sources

Let us know if you find any Trump-related collusion or obstruction. Mueller couldn't.

It’s not over, not by a long shot. The current occupant of the White House and cheerleaders are claiming exoneration, but the truth is quite different.*

Not according to Mueller.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Mueller is a fully-paid up member of the conservative establishment and a dyed-in-the wool Republican so it can hardly be expected that he would be willing to rock any boats to bring down a president and plunge the country into a political crisis. A person of Mueller's social standing would have no appetite for causing any damage to the status quo, but the evidence of criminality was such that he was forced to indict the smaller fish in the stinking orange swamp. Mueller bent over backwards to avoid directly implicating the office of the president by sprinkling his report with "not...knowingly" and "not...willfully", lawyers' lingo that obfuscates culpability and makes any case against a person of power and influence difficult to prove. Still, despite the jubilation of Trump's disciples, the game is far from over: the Dems have the next move in Congress while gaffe-prone Trump can always be counted on to step into more doo-doo on the slippery slope to impeachment.

A crucial question to ask is what influence/effect will The Mueller Report to going to have on the 2020 Presidential Election, the campaign and or the candidates?

President Trump -- dependent on which direction one leans across Americas political divide, is viewed a constitutional bogeyman, the Dick Dastardly sent to demonise democratic socialism, a shady charlatan wedded to white suprematism. Mocked relentlessly on Saturday Night Live. It will require more than indignant outrage and accusations of political demonization to claim the Presidency

Whether Donald Trumps 2106 election campaign benefited from alleged Russian Government involvement, President Trumps naysayers will need more than Mueller Report to successfully remove Trump from office. My I ask out of the Democrats running in 2020 who is up for the task?

Meet the Major Candidates Running for President in 2020.......

Honestly not blowing political raspberries at the Democrats. The Lib Dems are fielding quite a selection.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

What a cunning plan! Have an investigation about Russian collusion, but conceal that it is actually cleverly setting him up for an obstruction of justice case!

No. Nobody set up Trump to obstruct, he did it all on his own because he can't control himself or keep his mouth shut.

Why is it so hard for Trumpophiles to understand how obstruction works?

That's right, spin more fantasies and fairy tale accusations.  So now we have Trump "attempted murder"?  This will be the democrat's new investigation?

Who accused Trump of attempted murder? You just suggesting that the Democrats will be investigating Trump for attempted murder is ludicrous. Seriously... No spin except from you. One poster said people aren't convicted for trying to do something which is completely wrong. I provided just one example where people are convicted for trying to do something. People are often convicted of conspiring to commit a crime. The original poster was incorrect. And so are you.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

There is no way you could possibly know this. I don’t think even you have an anecdote for this one.

Given the history of how Democrats have failed so far, yes, I can say with the confidence and certainty it won’t go anywhere and definitely not with the President landing in prison.

A crucial question to ask is what influence/effect will The Mueller Report to going to have on the 2020 Presidential Election, the campaign and or the candidates?

And the answer is all Americans, except those that read Sputnik and Russia Today, will be horrified by the corruption and criminal activity of the Trump Crime World syndicate outlined in the Mueller report...and vote accordingly...

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

No. Nobody set up Trump to obstruct,

No, they just tried to set Trump up to take him down and out, ultimate fa-i-lure.

he did it all on his own because he can't control himself or keep his mouth shut.

Nor should he in the face of injustice and especially what the Dems tried to do to him.

Why is it so hard for Trumpophiles to understand how obstruction works

Why is it difficult for Trump haters to understand, neither we nor the President will take the abuse of Democrats, not like before. Also, Dems need to learn what the meaning of No collusion means. Someone call, Don Lemon.

Media next week: Trump is Luke’s father.

Trump can always be counted on to step into more doo-doo on the slippery slope to impeachment.

Keep dreamin' that dream, reamer! You have to have proof of serious crimes and a two-thirds Senate vote to impeach a president. You ain't got neither one.

Individual -1.....

Let us know if you find any Trump-related collusion or obstruction. Mueller couldn't.

Inaccurate, Mueller found evidence of obstruction. Barr decided it wasn't enough to prosecute.

I want to see apologies from everyone who accused Trump of collusion and obstruction.

And if you don't give me what I want, I'll throw a tantrum just like our two-year old President...

1 ( +4 / -3 )

The Senate tries the president, the House impeached ( impeaches )

OK, Chip, I'll give you that one. Ultimately the Senate decides to remove the president from office. The Democrats ain't taking the Senate in 2020, they'll be very lucky to keep the House. And they sure ain't getting the White House.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

You're welcome, but you still need to admit you were wrong and apologize for accusing Trump of crimes of which he has been exonerated by Robert Mueller, and for calling me a partisan hack.

Exonerated? Where was that written?

I thought this part was rather revealing:

"The conclusion that Congress may apply the obstruction laws to the President's corrupt exercise of the powers of office accords with our constitutional system of checks and balances and the principle that no person is above the law."

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Well, I'm completely self-satisfied that I predicted this outcome from the very beginning. How did I know? A) Assange said the DNC files didn't come from the Russians, and B) Craig Murray who helped deliver the files--THAT WERE DOWNLOADED BY A DISGRUNTLED DNC WORKER--said as much. Case was closed for me. But now we have the spectacle of corporate Dems and their dutiful stenographers at MSNBC moving the goalpost and insisting that Russians posting kitten pictures on Facebook--spending an insignificant fraction of the total spent on the elections--somehow lost Hillary the election. Bwahahahahahaha! Unfortunately, because of Hillary's ineptitutde, we now have the spectacle of Trump destroying the institutions that kept America from being a totally miserable place to live for most.

Wow all this nonsense is still going on here?

Move on. Turn the page.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

You're advocating for the president to break the law. Sweet. Glad to know you are against the rule of law.

Member that BS story of Clinton and Lynch at the airport tarmac and claimed that they were talking about their grandkids? There was just No way Bill would ask the former AG to break the law to not prosecute her right? Which ironically after that encounter she wasn’t....

And another 3 year old debunked conspiracy theory - the Trumpers love these fairy tales...

Democrats are the last people to preach to anyone about breaking the law. I have yet to see a Republican hide a few grand in their home freezer.

True, Trump keeps his in Putin's safe...much safer there...

By the way, it wasn't democrats who initiated the Mueller investigation.

It wasn’t Trump that first initiated the birther myth.

Typical dodge...It was a Repub (Rosenstein) who appointed a Repub (Meuller)...but don't expect Trumpers to understand that...the world is only Trumpers and Libs...

Completely irrelevant to why Trumpophiles can't understand how obstruction of justice works. It has nothing to do with the Dems, it's a law.

Why is it difficult for Trump haters to understand, neither we nor the President will take the abuse of Democrats, not like before, yes, that includes obstruction

Another dodge - Trump breaking the law by obstructing justice, conspiring to payoff porn stars, inflating his wealth to fraudulently get loans, any all sorts of other fifth - to Trumpers that's not a crime, even though it's specifically spelled out is US statutes. Because Trump, just like Putin, the Ayatollah, and Kim, can never do wrong - that's the way tyrants and dictatorships work...

Looking forward to three things:

Trump's electoral loss in 2020.

Trump's multiple indictments by the SDNY.

Trump's final years in prison. The man has screwed over so many people in his life as a fraudster and caused incalculable damage to American politics. Good riddance.
