I think fertlity drugs and religion may have a lot to do with this. I hope they have good medical insurance, a large income and a supportive family or they are going to be in deep trouble. What on earth possessed the parents to carry on with the gestation of sextuplets anyway? They were very, very lucky, most multiple births this size usually mean losing one or all of the foetuses. Can you imagine what it's done to the health of the mother? It must have been unbearable.

You guys should be aware that this is not natural. I heard a doctor interviewed on TV and he said that it's very likely that the woman was fertilized artificially and that the doctors taking care of her were too dumb to spot the extra eggs caused by the procedure. He also said that their mistake endangered the lives of both the mother and the babies. Usually, extra eggs are removed before they start to grow.

Better her than me. Or my wife, I should say. Hope mom and the kids are doing well

none the less, its an amazing gift to give birth to 8, hope they all grow up to be strong and healthy.

Those parents have some tough years ahead of them!

A Japanese doctor might not have missed the eigth child. It could havea better chance of survival.

Is it is so much widely covered by the media all over the world. I think the parents deserve some kind of financial assistance for their bring-up, from the government or Non-Profit organizations.

Lucky ,they are born in USA , a country of abundance.
