I don't think the charges are particular to threatening Nancy Pelosi. In general, threatening to kill someone will get that person arrested and charged post haste. It is a crime regardless of whom is the object of the death threat.

2 yrs isn't enough. The prosecution's recommendation was correct - 6+ yrs. With just 2 yrs, she'll be out and walking the streets in 12 months. That's unacceptable. This woman is why I don't think convicted felons should regain their citizen rights like voting.
