I am not a expert on sailing, but a lot of thing don't add up here, was this a publicity stunt? why would you refuse any help like water and food? emergency distress beacon, not activated? why? and attacked by sharks, when an expert says not, I suspect she's not telling all of the facts here.

Complete malarkey by these two. The US navy should send them a bill for the USS Ashland to have to pick them up. My two sons in the navy say that this was a publicity stunt and that all the malfunctions they claim are impossible like winning the super lotto more than once.

There's a lot in their story that doesn't add up. For example, their accounts of horrific storms that damaged their boat, when multiple Weather Services stated there were no such storms at the times and locations they claimed. Another example, they said they passed up safe haven at such and such a harbor because it was not deep enough for their boat, when in fact it frequently accommodates much larger commercial vessels. Also, they passed up another safe harbor which would have only involved a 10 km walk to civilization, and instead opted to go back out into the dangerous open ocean again. That doesn't even make sense. There's some kind of BS going on here.

They will write a book about it, the real-life Life of Pi, including a long section on how tough it was emotionally to have their story called into question.

This is a carefully selected photograph.

The dominant partner re-enforcing control.

"Stick with the story, Tasha. Just like we agreed."

Or am I just reading too much into it?

Conjob or wackjobs. Either way they're full of it.

It looks like no one has got any sympathy for these two!
