How about reunite? It worked for Germany.
Wakarimasen
Just shout across the DMZ.
what is telling is that Korean stock market is at an all time high, bonds and currency strengthening. folks in SK not a bit worried about the North. just a frenzy being whipped up by the US and Japan......

It worked as long as officials were willing to give up power

Reunficiation, whilst a wonderful aspiration, would be a very difficult process. Each "side" would have to go through enormous adjustment and culture shock. It would be a very awkward "getting to know you" scenario. Mistrust of the other has been ingrained in both Koreas, during each successive corrupt administration (North and South). However, the pill might be sweetened by significant financial aid from the US and other "players". But under the current regime in America, financial aid might be a problem. In fact, it may be in the interests of the Trump admin to stall on ideas of Korean unity.
I could be wrong, of course. You can never tell with Trump and his minions.
Not to mention the bureaucrats in Pyongyang and Seoul.

SK should be talking about reunification non-stop.
That should be their goal.
Families being reunited and prosperity shared. It makes for a better message than "we want to kill everyone in NK." Together we are stronger and happier.
THAT is the message from SK to NK.
