Good job to Trump for seemingly getting through an interview without shoving his foot down his own throat. I knew you could do it, champ!

@Davers - not at all a Trump fan here but do you have some evidence of his heart disease. I know Dr. Sanjay Gupta seems to have diagnosed him, without seeing him in person.

Trump's position to North Korea is, that our deal is 'heads we win, tails you lose'. Hey Donnie Doofus, it's called the art of compromise ... not 'no retreat no surrender'.

I cannot think of any physician who would stand before a credulous pool of journalists and wax rhapsodically about a patient who refuses to exercise, eats nothing but junk and fast food, guzzles Diet Cokes all day long, never sleeps, explodes with rage at the slightest provocation every hour of every day, etc. The "mental status exam" was a grotesque joke - and does not address the proverbial elephant in the room. I don't believe a word that was said.

It's going to be hard for Trump to counter Russia's actions on North Korea since he desperately wants to be on good terms with Putun. Time to look away again?

Obviously the US is not serious about a diplomatic solution. Something as simple as halting war games on North Korea's border in exchange for a freeze on their nuclear weapons program is rejected by the US. Reasonable people would agree that it would be at least a start, and would help dial back the crazy rhetoric and reduce the possibility that either Trump, or Kim Jong Un will blunder us into a nuclear war.

This is what Russia's response to America's support of Syria's anti Assad Rebels and the Ukraine's anti Russia regime in Kiev!  You cannot blame Russia when you are stabbing the Russian's back. Putin is not a stupid boy!

to being able to deliver a long-range missile to the United States.

”a long range missile”. Come on mr trump. Didn’t you watch CNN? NK launched 4 simultaneously last year that Argis can only shot down 3. NK just needs to launch 10-20.

Show me a 70 odd year old heart that doesn't have some kinda wear and tear.

He got the all clear from the same dude that probed Obama, so that should quieten a few folk.

Trump is doing alright. Admittedly I'm not the fan I was at first, but still better than what we could have had.

Amen on that brother!

Hmmmm....apparently, you haven’t been to NK recently where people don’t have a say to anything and one man calls the shots and decides single handedly who lives and who dies, now why would a mad man like that ever want to surrender, not tthe mention a man that would love to destroy the US? Liberals make hello look orange.

Hard work, something that wasn’t done for the last 8 years. I’m sure when Trump got in the first day and opened the drawer to his new desk, the dust must’ve seriously overwhelmed him.

The "mental status exam" was a grotesque joke - and does not address the proverbial elephant in the room. I don't believe a word that was said

I love how everyone on JT in a day graduated from med school and can give a proper diagnosis, if that’s the case then I declare all liberals and Dems to be mentally incapable of fulfilling their duties to the American people.

Trump is doing alright. Admittedly I'm not the fan I was at first, but still better than what we could have had.

Can't argue with that.

The assertion that Obama did not do any work during his 8 years in the White House is ridiculous.

Kim Jong Un is not a madman.

What was the point of mentioning The Diet Coke and how would they know if it was fresh anyway

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Now the press has to find out whether this, too, is a lie...

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Does Trump trust intelligence agencies now?

Convenient.

"I guess they all realized they were going to have to leave it to a president that scored the highest on tests," he said.

Statements like this make me want to vomit.

Trump is a walking disaster area in so many ways. Putin and the Chinese must be laughing their heads off.

3 more years.

ROFL

Kim Jong Un is not a madman.

Now, he’s psycho.

Once Trump gets rid of train migration and the visa lottery program, they’ll probably be crying their eyes out.

3 more years.

At this rate if the economy continues on this trajectory you can add you can add another 4 years to that.

Kim is an astute and canny leader. He knows what buttons to push (metaphorically speaking, natch) and he's merely following years of DPRK routine of attention seeking.

There's no doubt that being in a dynastic dictatorship and being surrounded by yes men affects his outlook and sense of reality but is he insane? In as much as Trump is insane, I imagine. Both are playing to a captive audience and both demand loyalty. Both relish the spotlight and crave adulation. I'd say they are needy, at the very least.

Unlike Trump I guess we're not going to get a M.O.T. on Kim anytime soon.

Looking at the photos of staving North Koreans that have nothing to eat, where people eat bark, grass, rats and there are even stories of cannibalism while this guy dines like a fat rat and you sound like you praise the guy. Astounding.

I think Kim is insane if he thinks he can take on the US like that, if so, reality has left him completely. I wish him all the best because if he makes one wrong move, that country will be vaporized.

There is obscene poverty and starvation in the US as well yet still people praise Trump. It doesn't astound me, it's just the way it is. Not just under the current leader but going back generations.

I don't honestly know if Trump is insane but I think he's deluded if he thinks he can vaporise the DPRK without any consequences from China and Russia.

I hope we never have to confront any of these scenarios.

There is obscene poverty and starvation in the US as well yet still people praise Trump.

Because he's given their dignity back and not a government check.

It doesn't astound me, it's just the way it is.

The more free stuff you give to people, the more dependent they become.

Not just under the current leader but going back generations.

I don't honestly know if Trump is insane but I think he's deluded if he thinks he can vaporise the DPRK without any consequences from China and Russia.

I am very sure, the Pentagon Joint chiefs of staff know this and made him aware of this and properly advised him. But as General Mattis said a month ago when asked "what keeps you up and concerns you, he replied, nothing keeps me up,  I keep other people and concerned."

I hope we never have to confront any of these scenarios.

I feel the same.

In the old days the Right would be outraged at news Russia is helping someone's get around or sanctions. Not so much these days.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Trump has not given anyone their dignity back, especially not the poor. Social programs haven't changed in the US, which means government assistance has not changed.

Some posters simply flounder around attempting to respond to posts. The flounderers are incapable of factually defending their positions or refuting others, so provide irrelevant responses in the hopes of "winning" the argument. They merely make themselves look like fools.
