China vows to beat 'devil' virus as countries rush to evacuate citizens

When did the Chinese government really know about this virus? Early December? Late November?

It's partly their own fault for sitting on their hands for too long about it.

To date, the Chinese Government has struggled to find out the source of this deadly virus. It is reported that some of the first victims might have eaten certain products bought from the wild animal markets. To effectively prevent the widespread of this virus in Australia, Adelaide schools are the first to ban students returning to schools from China for two weeks.

Is Coronavirus A Biological Weapon?

The Wuhan Coronavirus is believed to have originated in a wet market located in Wuhan, Hubei province. Scientists are confident that the virus originated in Wuhan because the city is the epicenter of the outbreak and has the largest number of cases. There is some controversy about how, exactly, the outbreak started.

This is were things get weird.

Wuhan is home to several major Chinese biological research labs. In particular, the city is known for the Wuhan Institute of Virology, China’s most advanced biological research lab. The Washington Times suggests that this site may be linked to a covert Chinese biological warfare program. The outlet features Danny Shoham, who claims to be a former Israeli military intelligence officer.

Shoham believes the Wuhan Institute of Virology may be helping the Chinese military with its biological warfare program. He states the following:

Certain laboratories in the institute have probably been engaged, in terms of research and development, in Chinese (biological weapons), at least collaterally, yet not as a principal facility of the Chinese biowarfare alignment.

Yeah, until the next time when locals go back to eating civet cats, bats, snakes and porcupines in filthy conditions. Then the cycle repeats.

Stormcrow, I presume that Beijing might have known the first cases of this deadly virus in Wuhan quite some time ago. It is possible that Xi Jinping decided to delay any announcement until everything under control (e.g. trade war deal with Trump...) or it has a "comprehensive plan" to effectively deal with the situation. Then, when realizing that it was beyond what Beijing could do, the Wuhan government was forced to take the blame for the delay (see https://thediplomat.com/2020/01/wuhan-coronavirus-china-plays-the-blame-game/).

A doctor on the popular BS satellite news show Shinso last night was saying that she had read all the medical reports regarding this outbreak, and the very first recorded victim on 1st December 2019 never went near the wild life market in Wuhan. (I guess that does not preclude having eaten something bought from there.)

Xi is really stoking this to improve his popularity. He is all fluff and show. I saw on TV how he and other Chinese politicians were trying to do their 'rah rah rah' and give a false sense of optimism to the nurses and doctors working there. It looked like a bad infomercial to me. And what's with all those bulldozers and other construction machines trying to build more hospitals now?!! It's all for show, if you ask me.

Yes They know they made this virus as a bio-weapon. And it leaked out... Now they want to hide it by allowing more people to die before releasing the vaccine. Look no military doctor or nurse died of this virus. No major politicians died of this virus. If it came from raw meat then it should definitely kill more elite than the poor people living near by the bio-laboratory in Wuhan.

Communist Party-ruled China has been eager to show it is transparent over this outbreak, after initially covering up the extent of the 2002-03 outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)

If so, why are we reading this now?

The U.N. agency said later that China had agreed that the WHO can send a team of international experts "as soon as possible" to increase understanding of the virus and guide the global response.
