Economics Nobel Laureate Paul Krugman: "...if you're trying to make sense of what's happening on trade, you should start with the basic point that Trump has no idea what he's doing, that there isn't any coherent U.S. policy goal."

Former top Trump aide, Steve Bannon: "Trump will lose supporters when they discover he's just another non-billionaire scumbag."

China isn't even on the same league as America. Never has been and never will be. They might not be a 3rd world country anymore but they still THINK like a 3rd world country.

The US spent too much time focusing on Russia being the enemy that they allowed China to steal technology for the past 10 years and more. China has their reasons to scheme or steal or whatever to get to the top, all made possible by the greedy Western capitalists. Now China is big enough to stab the US in the back or in the front.

Anyone else selling their stocks for now?

Nope. Buying opportunity.

America should tie in human rights to any deal. China has an embarrassing record on human rights that continues today.

As to whether the US or China is worse, if you want to sue the govt for wrong doing, which country would you have a better chance causing change, without being beaten by thugs?

And the administration is going to realize China doesn't play by the same rules as everyone else.

"Winning trade wars is easy"

"It is a matter of course that not only the crew but also the rat escape from the wooden boat where the fire occurred."

The United States feels no pain when called 'naked economic terrorism' from a country where detention, torture, rape, organ hunting, etc. are routinely performed.

China uses technology companies strategically and systematically to illegally obtain foreign commercial technology and use it to develop its own military.
