The junta have no mandate to govern. Their representatives should be arrested for crimes against humanity the moment they set foot on foreign soil and shipped off to The Hague.
ASEAN are spineless, though. Always have been. Even the US will eventually let things slide and recognise the junta.
If the military takes over your country, the only way to get it back is to take them and their backers down by any means.
Governments globally support only 'peaceful protest' because they know it hardly ever works.
Incidentally, Aung Suu Kyi is no 'democracy champion'. She herself should also be standing trial at The Hague for her treatment of the Rohinga. I guess there is some poetic justice in her now facing prison.
