They are not protests. They’re trying to storm the border to provoke Israel into a violent reaction. C’mon globalist media and give us some honest reporting.

This whole situation is a train wreck for the U.S.

Why couldn't the U.S. embassy have remained in Tel Aviv? I don't understand why the U.S. chose to move the embassy to Jerusalem at this point in time, which was certain to provoke violence. Israel has killed 55 Palestinians and injured more than 2,700 on this day alone, smearing Palestinian blood on the Stars and Stripes. I hate to see my country's flag raised in support of Israel's unrestrained and unreasonable killing of Palestinians over the past three weeks.

33 ( +41 / -8 )

Sure, lots of dead and injured and the peace process is over, but, hey, we have an embassy in Jerusalem now.

So there's that.

10 ( +20 / -10 )

55 demonstrators killed!

55!

This is an open bloodbath slaughter!

Where's the condemnation from "world leaders"

They're all chickens.

19 ( +29 / -10 )

Hamas can not control their own terrorist citizens which is why they are not recognized as a legitimate government. Don't blame the US

-31 ( +8 / -39 )

Joe you need an editor, I will help:

U.S. chose to move the embassy to Jerusalem at this point in time, which was certain to provoke TERRORIST violence. Israel has killed 55 TERRORISTS (Palestinians) and injured more than 2,700 TERRORISTS on this day alone, smearing TERRORIST (Palestinian) blood on the Stars and Stripes. I hate to see my country's flag raised in support of Israel's unrestrained and unreasonable killing of TERRORISTS (Palestinians) over the past three weeks.

call it as it is, terrorists are terrorists you can not appease them like previous administrations.

-38 ( +7 / -45 )

Jared will fix everything and it’s going to be wonderful!

Well, Palestinian should protest but burning tires and getting killed is not going to help getting their point across...

There will be some protests in UN but little will be done.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Netanyahu:

"Every country has an obligation to defend its borders... We will continue to act with determination to protect our sovereignty and citizens."

Strange coming from a regime that is illegally occupying land and is constantly bombing its neighbors.

If these killings were done by Assad, you can be sure that US Tomahawks would already be on their way.

22 ( +26 / -4 )

A massacre of unarmed civilians, 100 yards from the border. 55 dead and thousands maimed. The corporate media rushing to print Likud's lies and no condemnation from Western leaders. Disgusting. This is all down to President Pørnø.

I don't understand why the U.S. chose to move the embassy to Jerusalem at this point in time

The US didn't choose: Trump in his infinite stupidity chose.

Because big gestures and getting his own way are more important to him than people's lives.

32 ( +35 / -3 )

55 innocent unarmed protesters are dead at the hands of state-run military. Instead of being concerned about this abuse of power, right-wing pundits are floating the idea of the US adopting similar strategies. Ann Coulter even asked if we could do that in the US.

This is fascism. People who support it are fascists.

23 ( +25 / -2 )

There will be some protests in UN but little will be done.

The Arab reaction was much more muted then anyone expected until this point. There is no way Trump could have known what was going to happen.

-21 ( +2 / -23 )

Why couldn't the U.S. embassy have remained in Tel Aviv? I don't understand why the U.S. chose to move the embassy to Jerusalem at this point in time, which was certain to provoke violence.

Because every previous President knew that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, other previous Presidents promised during their campaign speeches to relocate our embassy and they all didn’t keep their promise, Trump did. The other Presidents lied, Trump didn’t.

Israel has killed 55 Palestinians and injured more than 2,700 on this day alone, smearing Palestinian blood on the Stars and Stripes.

No, it was spilled on the ground.

I hate to see my country's flag raised in support of Israel's unrestrained and unreasonable killing of Palestinians over the past three weeks.

I’m excited that this President kept his promise and did what he promised he would do that other Presidents didn’t.

-32 ( +2 / -34 )

Well said Alfie.

This is fascism. People who support it are fascists.

Exactly. Israel is an aparteid state and should be treated as such. Netanyahu is a terrorist and should have travel bans placed on him. We already have those on the butcher in Syria. Why can't we do the same here?

23 ( +27 / -4 )

So, run me through the benefits of moving this embassy to Jerusalem.

24 ( +25 / -1 )

Thanks Iran, Thanks Trump, Thanks Netanyahu, and thanks for all you idiots and your stupidity for getting this whole situation moving.

Turkey isn't helping. Jerusalem has never truly had a history of belonging to Islam. Turkey is well on it's way to being just another Islamic theocracy that's all about religious fanaticism and no substantial worth.

Netenyahu needs to be called out on this.

Trump: "I'm gonna appeal to my religiously fanatical bible thumping conserva-tuv's by moving the US embassy to Jahruse a lum'. Because I wanna pretend to read mah bye-bull"

So the "white house" declines to comment on the situation... 'Murica done seriously F'ed up with this idiot.

13 ( +17 / -4 )

There are 6.5 million Palestinians in Israel who are denied an existence. The 2 million in Gaza are kept in what can only be called the world's largest open prison with so rights denied to the people living there. Netanyahu has no interest in the two state solution.

25 ( +27 / -2 )

For anyone wondering why trumpo did this, follow the money. adelson demanded for it after paying for trumpos campaign. And yet, you won't see or hear about that on your daily msm. And you won't hear a peep from UN. Can't imagine that uproar if iran had done something akin to this. Disgusting hypocrites.

I’m excited that this President kept his promise and did what he promised he would do that other Presidents didn’t.

You are always commenting that you are not interested in what happens in any other country, and are only concerned about about your own, America, Why the exception with Israel when you posted comments over the new American embassy in London. Why does it matter to you that Jerusalem is the capital or not.

14 ( +17 / -3 )

Bingo!

13 ( +14 / -1 )

The other Presidents lied, Trump didn’t.

As the other presidents applied the wise caveat, "Once Jerusalem's status has been finalized," they did not lie. But then, Bonespurs Trump has promised not to involve America in further overseas conflicts. He'll simply stick others with the pain of resolution - just as he's always done.

17 ( +18 / -1 )

You are always commenting that you are not interested in what happens in any other country, and are only concerned about about your own, America,

That doesn’t mean I can’t commnt or have a believe.

Why the exception with Israel when you posted comments over the new American embassy in London.

I just said that I just don’t care, but with Israel it’s different, Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, so I don’t see that there’s a problem with moving the embassy there.

Why does it matter to you that Jerusalem is the capital or not.

On one hand it doesn’t matter to me, but on the other hand I do think it’s important for the Israelis to determine where their capital is and I think they have every right to move it to the capital and I also think that it was a good thing for the president to keep his promise, the left always screams that the president doesn’t keep his promises, which is a bunch of crap, but this is a great move and now no one can say that he didn’t keep his promise compared to the other three presidents that didn’t.

-21 ( +3 / -24 )

There is no way Trump could have known what was going to happen.

Low-information Trump probably didn’t, but those with any knowledge or interest in this situation could have made a reasonable prediction. Watching and reading trash all day isn’t useful. I like gambling and I would have given pretty short odds on a bloodbath kicking off.

You are treating Trump like baby with his hair sticking up after watching him play with a screwdriver and an electrical socket. How was he to know?

15 ( +16 / -1 )

bass4funk

On one hand it doesn’t matter to me, but on the other hand I do think it’s important for the Israelis to determine where their capital is and I think they have every right to move it to the capital and I also think that it was a good thing for the president to keep his promise, the left always screams that the president doesn’t keep his promises, which is a bunch of crap, but this is a great move and now no one can say that he didn’t keep his promise compared to the other three presidents that didn’t.

So what about the other 6.6 million Israeli, the Palestinians, do they also matter to you. Are you just interested only because Trump made a promise?

There is no way Trump could have known what was going to happen.

Trump gets daily extensive intelligence updates

19 ( +20 / -1 )

As expected.

And the peace process is surely dead.

But at least evangelists in the US must be very happy !

11 ( +13 / -2 )

This is a massacre. 55 people dead and 2,700 injured.

A disgusting and cowardly act carried out by a despicable regime, enabled by the Trump administration who have blood on their hands every much as Netanyahu.

Those who take the hasbara line, in blaming Hamas are no different from those who echoed various British authorities who blamed Sinnn Fein and the people of NI/6counties for what was being done to them.

As for the embassy debacle

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/pastor-jews-hell-jersualem-embassy-article-1.3988437

11 ( +15 / -4 )

in blaming Hamas

Hamas is a disgusting organization. I think it’s useful never to lose sight of that fact when discussing this area of the world.

I’m just waiting for someone to justify the actions of the Israeli armed forces here. 55 dead and 2,700 injured?

Anyone fancy a try at justifying this?

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Hamas has only existed since 1987. Not all of it is military, there are different sections such as welfare. America and Israel blame Hamas for the murders of the Palestinians but it was Israeli troops who shot and killed unarmed protestors behind a wire fence, inside the Gaza Strip. Israel refused to deal with the PLO, Hamas was born.

16 ( +16 / -0 )

Terrorists storming the border. Imagine if they got through. Israel did the right thing.

-22 ( +1 / -23 )

I don't think even Trump fans know why he did this. A child would have seen it as a needlessly provocative action. The embassy could have been solved within in a broader agreement, not a one-sided gesture.

Bibi probably leveraged Trump's racism against Muslims in his pitch. Total Muslim ban, lying about tens of thousands cheering on 9/11, spreading tweets from anti-Ismamic groups, insulting the mother of a deceased solider by mocking her religion for not talking, lying about the situation in Europe to generate fear. I'm betting Bibi had Trump wrapped around his finger in less than a minute.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

There is no way Trump could have known what was going to happen.

EVERYONE predicted what could happen. Why do you think so many people were against the decision? Because they're simply anti-Trump? Sorry, but only Trump is that petty.

13 ( +15 / -2 )

Terrorists storming the border. Imagine if they got through. Israel did the right thing.

But they didn't so it can't be called self defense. Unarmed protestors against a very advanced armed military with a vast range of weapon s from assault weapons, cluster bombs, white phosphorus bombs, advanced tanks and aircraft, atomic bombs believed to be more than 100 atomic warheads including hydrogen bomb.

Yes, imagine if they got through the border, thousands of them would be dead.

What happens in America if the military start shooting dead unarmed protestors. Even if they started shooting dead illegal immigrants crossing the border.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

So all the grenades, pipe bombs, suicide vests, stabbing of of border guard, kites with explosives, setting fire to the gas line...thats all lies about the "peaceful protesters"? Who brings children to such an event anyway?

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

Sickening.

Poor Palestinians murdered.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Blacklabel

So all the grenades, pipe bombs, suicide vests, stabbing of of border guard, kites with explosives, setting fire to the gas line...thats all lies about the "peaceful protesters"? Who brings children to such an event anyway?

The Palestinians in Gaza are contained within the fence on one side and the sea on the other. Many protests in America have family and children in them and recently look at the school students protests over gun control. In America it would be a crime if a trooper or cop shot dead a an unarmed protestor from a distance of more than 100 meters.

Surly every incident should be met with a measured control. Most of what you stated happened on the West Bank not in Gaza which is more of a prison than the West Bank.

Palestine Solidarity Vigils across Ireland Tuesday 15th May Belfast: Peace Wall at 6pm Derry: Free Derry Corner at 8pm Dublin: The Spire at 6pm Omagh: Court House at 6pm Ireland stands with Palestine!

Ireland knows what it is to be demonised and brutalised by oppression.

Hoefully, more countries will stand up and say "no more".

7 ( +10 / -3 )

I think Americans should really study the history of this area. I do not condone the killing of innocent people on either side. That said, Israel has a right to exist, so do Palestinians. Instead of trying to broker a peace deal, the President just made a bad situation worse. The British did it before, now the Americans. One should think that why is it that almost the entire world disagree with the American stance. It is foolish to think everyone else is wrong and we are right, especially when our decisions result in the loss of many human lives.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

So, run me through the benefits of moving this embassy to Jerusalem.

.......

I think that covers all the main points, in some detail.

I do think it’s important for the Israelis to determine where their capital is and I think they have every right to move it to the capital

And the Palestinians? Is it equally important for them to determine where their capital is? And if not, why not? (Of course, they need to have a country before the state can have a capital. And the reason they don't have a country is...?)

There is no way Trump could have known what was going to happen.

Anyone with more than half a dozen brain cells and a passing interest in current affairs had a pretty good idea of what was likely to happen.

There is no way Trump could have known in the same way nobody knew healthcare could be so complicated.

And let's not forget, 'This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier.'

The moron is way out of his depth and he's pulling the US down with him.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

If Israel wants to defend its borders it should first clearly define where those borders are. Then it should make everyone currently living within those borders an Israeli citizen. Israel should also withdraw its army from areas outside of its borders.

However, Israel does not want to define its borders as the Israelis prefer their ongoing process of gradually stealing land from Palestinians, bulldozing their homes and trying to push them out from areas they have lived for generations.

14 ( +15 / -1 )

In contrast to the violent scenes in Gaza, Israeli dignitaries and guests attended a ceremony in Jerusalem to open the U.S. Embassy following its relocation from Tel Aviv.

That's pretty shameful, eating canapes & sipping cocktails when others are fighting/dying. Thing is Israel know that as long as Trump & Kushner are at the helm they pretty much have carte blanche to do whatever they want.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

As for long term consequences :

The peace process between Israel and Palestine which was stalled is now certainly dead.

Iran condemned the embassy move so any negotiations between them and the US are certainly rendered impossible.

Basically every other countries around Israel are now pissed.

Turkey withdrew their ambassador to the US and Israel. And who knows what they will do next.

And more consequences will come in the following days, I'm sure.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

I have a proposal to bring peace in the area. That is Israel becomes the 51st state of U.S. and U.S. controls Israel and Israel's foreign relations.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

All this constant reference to "peace process"   What has it achieved since 1948?  Nothing.  There will NEVER be peace in this area of the (or even the broader) Middle East.

You seem to be more concerned that Trump kept his promise than anything else. So had Trump said he wasn't moving the embassy to Jerusalem but then did, you would be upset with Trump for not keeping his promise not to move the embassy.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Quite the Grand Opening.

The U.S. should've just left the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv.

Besides, this new embassy now has a big bull's eye on it, so anybody coming or going had better be on their guard.

The rest of the World (except for Zionist-loving Americans), let us welcome the new Nazis, the fascist Zionist Israel!

The White House is now saying this killing of innocent protesters is just propaganda.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

The US is going to run out of friends at this rate. Moving the embassy to Jerusalem shows a basic lack of knowledge of the area, an ignorance of history, an absence of any diplomatic savvy and an abundance of childish stubbornness unbecoming of the Office of the President of the US.

I’m interested in why all the lip service and lies were acceptable to the left by the last 3 Presidents, but are now having an aneurism BECAUSE Trump kept his promise. So what in the heck do liberals want? President to keep his promise or him to go back on his word?

President Trump is running out of promises he made to those who voted for him. He is now keeping promises that former U.S. presidents have made dating back to the 1990s.

It's the other way around genius. Who's occupying who?

6 ( +8 / -2 )

“It's the other way around genius. Who's occupying who?”

Incidental. Ohwell, it’s the Palestinians who’ll be ripped to shreds, not the Israelis. Israel is only beacon of hope, true democracy in that region. They don’t need more Sharia there.

If the Palestinians have an issue with Jerusalem as the capital, they should take that issue up with God.

i certain don’t have any issues with Mecca or Medina being where they are. Vatican City too-

-13 ( +2 / -15 )

This was not a peaceful protest.

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

Incidental. Ohwell

Gee, that's really big of you. But I'm guessing Mecca, Medina, and Vatican City aren't your homeland. I'm also guessing that you aren't currently being occupied by the Pope's military forces.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

American created Al Qaeda first and then ISIS. Israel created Hamas to counter the PLO.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

This was not a peaceful protest.

It was solely on the Gaza Strip side of the fence. No Israeli deaths or injuries.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

so what about the bigger promise Trump made to Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas one year ago.

Well, then when will the Palestinians recognize Israel as the Jewish State, let’s start with that, if you’re not willing to recognize the country, the government, the people, the laws of the country, then there is No way you can move to the next step.

Will he also keep that promise too?

Will the Palestinians recognize Israel, you tell me.

"President Donald Trump on Wednesday vowed to help broker a long-sought peace agreement between Israel and Palestine, promising that “we will get this done.

And the Palestinians promised peace and No attacks, also, Israel will never go into ANY negotiations with Hamas, you can forget that, never going to happen.

-12 ( +3 / -15 )

One year ago, Trump told President Abbas

"he believes Israelis and Palestinians are both willing to make a deal."

"I've always heard that perhaps the toughest deal to make is the deal between the Israelis and the Palestinians," Trump said.

"Let's see if we can prove them wrong," he added. "We will get it done."

Well, then when will the Palestinians recognize Israel as the Jewish State, let’s start with that, if you’re not willing to recognize the country, the government, the people, the laws of the country, then there is No way you can move to the next step.

There are about 1.7 million Palestinians who live in what can be called the original Jewish part of Israel and live and work alongside Jews but at the same time they don't enjoy the same citizenship and rights as Jews.

"Netanyahu’s new 'Jewish state' mantra negates the fact that Palestinians recognized Israel more than twenty years ago. They’re still waiting for Israel to recognize Palestine."

9 ( +10 / -1 )

“Being occupied is incidental now?”

as as a result of the 6-day war, Israel “acquired “ Golan Heights and other areas. When you “lose” a war, this is what happens. Look at how the ultranationalist in Japan view Russians occupying those northern Islands.

Either way you spin it, right or wrong, the Island is sovereign Russian territory. Same w/ Israel/Palestine.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Try to imagine living in Gaza. There doesn't seem to be much opportunity for the young there, so it's not much wonder so many attend the 'protests'.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

One year ago, Trump told President Abbas

"he believes Israelis and Palestinians are both willing to make a deal."

Yes, so why won’t The Palestinians recognize Israel as the Jewish State?

"I've always heard that perhaps the toughest deal to make is the deal between the Israelis and the Palestinians," Trump said.

I agree, so back to my question, why?

"Let's see if we can prove them wrong," he added. "We will get it done."

Hamas believes the only way to have peace with the Israelis is to wipe them out, hmmmmm...

There are about 1.7 million Palestinians who live in what can be called the original Jewish part of Israel and live and work alongside Jews but at the same time they don't enjoy the same citizenship and rights as Jews.

Depends.

"Netanyahu’s new 'Jewish state' mantra negates the fact that Palestinians recognized Israel more than twenty years ago.

Then there shouldn’t any problem with them wanting real peace and NO need for them to refer to Israel as “occupied territory.”

They’re still waiting for Israel to recognize Palestine."

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

Protesters in South Africa and Ireland were called terrorists and slaughtered and incarcerated because they fought for their freedoms.

It is a people's right to rise up against the oppressors, be it the apartheid states or those who steal others lands.

What option do the brutalised people of Palestine have after this?

6 ( +6 / -0 )

bass4funk

"Firstly Israel was founded by Jewish terrorists."

Oh, here we go with that crap again.

Its not crap, just read the history books.

"There are 6.5 million Palestinians inside Israel and another 3 million Palestinian refugees across the border in Jordan who are banned from returning home."

Uh-huh, so why aren’t the OTHER Arab nations trying to help out the Palestinians or try to take the refugees in? I’ll answer, they don’t want to and they don’t care. Turkey and the Arabs use the Palestinians for political purposes, but helping them when they could, they don’t, never. So before jumping on Israel, jump on the Arab nations for NOT supporting the Palestinians financially and the little money they get why is it the Palestinians don’t use that money to build schools or proper infrastructure in Gaza? Why do they have to use every dollar they get use it for radical terrorism?

Why do any people legally born in a land and country, like these Palestinians who have lived there for thousands of years have to give up their country of birth. Would you give up living in America and go to live in Mexico? No you would not. Did you miss the point were Jordan gave home to more than 3 million Palestinian refugees, who lost all of their property in Israel and never received compensation for their loss.

"So how many of the Palestinians population are "blood-thirsty savages".

Too many to count and Hamas isn’t helping.

Propaganda

"Even so far this year, there have been very few firings of Hamas rockets. On the West Bank although there are still attacks the numbers are less than last year."

Oh, so because the numbers are less, that makes it ok. When one person is shot, the left want to confiscate all firearms, when there are minimal attacks towards the Jewish people, ahhhhh, it’s not that bad.

Less is better and to be encouraged

2 million banged up on the Gaza Strip. 2.5 million on the West Bank who the Israeli steal their land, and resources like water are taken from them.

How do you steal something that wasn’t yours?

But the land and water belonged to Palestinians for thousands and thousands of year then the Jews turn up and tell them it isn't theirs anymore. Would you give up your land and water without a fight. No! Didn't think so.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

So before jumping on Israel, jump on the Arab nations for NOT supporting the Palestinians financially and the little money they get why is it the Palestinians don’t use that money to build schools or proper infrastructure in Gaza? Why do they have to use every dollar they get use it for radical terrorism?

Saudi Arabia is one of the largest providers of aid to the Palestinian people. Since 2002, Saudi Arabia has given more than $480 million in monetary support to the Palestinian Authority, and has supported Palestinian refugees by contributing to the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). Through the Arab League it has provided more than $250 million for the ‘Palestinians’, and pledged $500 million in assistance over the next three years at the Donors Conference in Dec 2007.

Building schools and hospital in Gaza not only needs dollars but extensive amounts of building materials and their imports are controlled by Israel. Concrete needs large volumes of water.

Aid in 2015 from Arab countries

Saudi Arabia $96 million.

Kuwait $32 million,

UAE $17 million

Israel controls the flow of all aid to Palestinians.

Israel is the only US beneficiary that doesn't have to account for how it spends the US taxpayer dollars it receives.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

This is basically slaughter condoned by the US and others who wish to see an entire people subjugated.

This was not a peaceful protest. 55+ Palestinian dead, 2700 injured, 0 Israel soldier fatalities, no it wasn't a protest it was a massacre.

Its not crap, just read the history books

Which book?

"There are 6.5 million Palestinians inside Israel and another 3 million Palestinian refugees across the border in Jordan who are banned from returning home."

You just made my previous argument for me.

"So how many of the Palestinians population are "blood-thirsty savages".

Too many to count and Hamas isn’t helping.

Propaganda

I don’t think so.

Less is better and to be encouraged

> But the land and water belonged to Palestinians for thousands and thousands of year then the Jews turn up and tell them it isn't theirs anymore. Would you give up your land and water without a fight. No! Didn't think so.

But the land wasn’t there’s to begin with and the Palestinians have proven time and time again, they don’t want peace, even when Israel as good gesture gave some land back, they mocked and cured the Israelis, so even after the second intifada the Palestinians were never sincere, all they wanted is for all Jews to leave their land, that’s just NEVER going to happen as the sun raises and tides ebb and flow. So the Palestinians can martyr themselves by the thousands, it won’t help their cause.

America's strongest and most important ally in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia does not recognize Israel.

Now the new monarchy does and they aren’t the neighbors of Israel, the Palestinians are.

The Israelis have shown a lot more restraint than I would have.

Now the new monarchy does and they aren’t the neighbors of Israel, the Palestinians are.

The policy of the new Prince isn't an official one and the 6.5 million Palestinians are not members bit in fact living on Israel.

The UN have condemned the OTT illegal violence by Israel against the unarmed protestors.

Which book?

Any history book about how at first Palestinian was in the hands of the British who were attacked by Jewish terrorists Irgun or the Stern Gang or any of the other paramilitary groups which fought against the British troops.

So easy to blame everything on Hamas, and it wasn't wasn't so long ago when the same blame was directed at the PLO and Israel allowed the Hamas to develop to oppose the PLO.

But the land wasn’t there’s to begin with

Unbelievable answer!

We all get the sad history of the Holocaust and Munich etc. But haven't most leading nations suffered tragedy in the past and found peace instead of aggression? Only Israel and the Jewish community will not forgive or forget and continue to invest in their armed state.

We all get Israel's distrust of the Palestinians. But if you herd the Palestinians into refugee camps why be upset with their protest reaction.

How many Chinese were killed by the Japanese in history? Yet they have cordial relations. The IRA murdered British civilians yet the UK made a peace deal. Look at the mess that the USA made in Vietnam, yet the Vietnamese get on pretty well with the US. So just what is it with the Israeli and Jewish community continuing this armed political oppression??

Ivanka Trump will be another shameless Persona Ingrata in world history. She will know it soon or later!

The policy of the new Prince isn't an official

To the Israeli government it is, that's all that matters.

one and the 6.5 million Palestinians are not members bit in fact living on Israel.

Ok and? I the UN is about as useless as the Zune.

Any history book about how at first Palestinian was in the hands of the British who were attacked by Jewish terrorists Irgun or the Stern Gang or any of the other paramilitary groups which fought against the British troops.

I see, so that's your book version, I read other versions how the land was really not overly occupied when the Israelis started to return back to their ancient homeland at first no one complained, then the Brits weren't so happy that so many were returning back, many of them turned a blind eye to the violent acts perpetrated by the Palestinians towards the Jews with impunity.

So easy to blame everything on Hamas,

They are the terrorists that want to die in martyrdom and choose to never recognize the Jewish State, so yes, I do blame them. Hamas doesn't want peace, the Palestinians really, truly and honestly want the Jews to leave, that's it and if anyone thinks different is not dealing with reality.

and it wasn't wasn't so long ago when the same blame was directed at the PLO and Israel allowed the Hamas to develop to oppose the PLO.

Arafat, the grandfather of terrorism.

my answer is that Israel must create a country and state that accommodates all the people of the land, and not just the 75% who are Jewish.

your answer is that 6.5 millions Palestinians are exiled against their will to other Arab countries.

It was a surreal experience last night, watching the TV news showing images of a glittering Ivanka opening the Jerusalem Embassy, intercut with images of people being mown down in the dust in Gaza. I just do not believe that one of the most efficient armies in the world could not have resolved a problem involving unarmed (okay, except with stones and home-made firebombs) demonstrators without using live ammunition, or that tear gas, rubber bullets, or water cannon wouldn't have done the 'job' for Israeli security.

Watching the news, I was reminded more than anything of the 1960 Sharpeville massacre in South Africa, where 69 people were killed in the street by the apartheid Government. I was only eight years old at the time, and not at all directly affected by what happened, but I remember the images clearly, and the sense of injustice that I (and most of the world) felt. Sharpeville was a turning point in the struggle for freedom by non-white South Africans, but it's hard to see this being the same kind of turning point for Palestinians.

All it provides is a fresh set of grievances for a new generation to remember.

my answer is that Israel must create a country and state that accommodates all the people of the land, and not just the 75% who are Jewish.

Correct.

A straightforward solution is to offer the Palestinians residence in Israel, in acceptance for peace, a removal of any weapons, and no more violence. The arabic community in Haifa seem to do it. Anyone who refuses can then be deported (harsh but reality). The one big issue is that the current right-wing Israeli government would never create a multi-cultural solution respecting the muslim community, and we would have to wait for a more liberal government.

BBC Interviewed a Jewish march participant yesterday, and when interviewer asked about the Palestinians the interviewee responded with "Arabs" so many times, that the Interviewer asked about what about the Palestinian people... the Interviewee responded "They don't exist, they never have".... later on, an expert claimed that this was the common thought amongst Jewish peoples.

The Palestinian / Israel issue was sadly caused by the Brits.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-XYZ religion, I simply don't want XYZ religion to impose their beliefs / ways upon me.

As to what's going on in Israel, and some of the beliefs being voiced internally, it sort of makes me wonder how, they could have suffered so much during WW2 and not reflect back upon that when making such comments as surely they themselves were in such as position to be on the receiving end of such thoughts/beliefs.

Aren't there any hate crimes in Israel, just as other Countries have Laws protecting Jewish peoples ? Surely those Laws could (assuming they exist) be used to prevent or to quash such hate speech.

Well, that expert is wrong. I saw the interview but missed the "expert". There are plenty of Jewish people who are aghast at the treatment of Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli Govt and the IDF.

Anyone fancy a try at justifying this?

Hamas’ intent was to produce casualties knowing that the western press would give them the propaganda they crave. Note, however, the lack of response in many Arab capitals.

Actually breaking through the border wire would have been a plus: hundreds or thousands of dead. Repeat: breaking through a BORDER.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Repeat: breaking through a BORDER.

Except its not a border between two countries or even two states since Israel does not recognize Gaza as a country or state and in fact its the prison fence of the world's largest open prison with 2 million inmates, men, women and children. Israel government no longer even considers them to even be human.

Apparently there are no journalists. 50 terrorists were killed out of those, 55, terrorists are not protestors. What's probably more ridiculous about the left wing is their insane policy to embrace, empower, protect and legitimize violent terrorists and other tyrants as well as the insane policy to allow the most violent to dictate decisions

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Israel is a monster. It is a monster because the rulers know that no matter what they do, like murdering 55 unarmed protesters, they can get away with it, The U.S. will shield them, lie for them, obstruct for them. Here is what I fear: A Palestinian holocaust. It's been in the air. If Israel murdered every last Palestinian the U.S. will cover for it. Then the world will be made to forget.

It’s a border as in “If you breach the wire and invade my country, don’t expect a welcome.”

Get real even if Hamas won’t.

No more of, "if you beach the prison fence and brake out you'll be shot dead."

Get real even if Israel won't
