President Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for his masterful statecraft in Syria.

President Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for his masterful statecraft in Syria.

Damn rights. He's the best 4D chess player in the world. True Quiddich master as well apparently.

"let someone else fight over this long bloodstained sand."

Yes.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

Turkey should be suspended from NATO.

Burning Bush:

What's this... an admission by the Western MSM that the anti-Assad rebels aren't the angels Obama claimed they were.

Yes. But don´t expect the CNN echo chamber to notice that, LOL

Thanks Russia for finally putting an end to this madness and for stopping all the killing.

More Putin love from the Trumpers - really, they all ought to fly the Russian flag and swear allegiance to the Kremin - just like Putin's Poodle Donnie has...

It's clear they prefer Russian values and interests over those of the US..

More like the Order of Leningrad....

Remember what trump said, "Under Obama we were not respected in the world"." Now we are respected everywhere". Well, running from a country and then being told to get the hell out of another doesn't show signs of respect. In fact it shows disdain for the USA. Thanks Donnie, you buffoon.

"Jump, Don! Jump!", said Putin. And, wow, did Don jump high. "Run, Don! Run!", said Erdogan. And, boy, Don ran like the wind.

This is what happens when you send somebody who can't even play checkers against expert opponents playing 3-D chess.

Trump's celebration of the Putin-Erdogan deal represents his total surrender of American leadership.

This is not a secret, Trump just admires Putin and proud to serve for the Kremilin! Just it might takes years for you guys to realise this is a fact!

elephant:

Trump's celebration of the Putin-Erdogan deal represents his total surrender of American leadership.

Russia is in Syria legally, unlike the Americans. Is illegal and reckless meddling in other countries your definition of "leadership"?

Like Hillaray "we came, we saw, he die, cackle, cackle, cackle" Clintons murder of Gaddafi and the embassy staff in Bengazi?

One of Trumps election promises was to wind down the stupid foreign wars, and he won, precisely many people had enough of this "leadership".

Sheesh.

Laguna:

Turkey should be suspended from NATO.

Maybe. But that issue should be solved before clamouring for American troops to tangle with Turkish troops in Syria (a country where the American presence is illegal to begin with).

Now say you disagree with that.

Russia is in Syria legally, unlike the Americans. Is illegal and reckless meddling in other countries your definition of "leadership"?

Only if you're an Assad supporter and think he is a legitimate leader of the country. Putin does - do you agree?

Like Hillaray "we came, we saw, he die, cackle, cackle, cackle" Clintons murder of Gaddafi and the embassy staff in Bengazi?

Nonsense. Why don't you provide some facts instead of elementary school level taunts...

One of Trumps election promises was to wind down the stupid foreign wars, and he won, precisely many people had enough of this "leadership".

He's cutting and running because he's a coward - someone that won't stand up for his own country, but sells it out to Russia. A traitor.

Maybe. But that issue should be solved before clamouring for American troops to tangle with Turkish troops in Syria (a country where the American presence is illegal to begin with).

You want the US to attack the Turks? That's exactly what Putin wants. Peel Turkey away from the US and NATO and align itself with Russia - and that's what's occurring. Russia wins, US and NATO loses - all due to the Great Orange Moron...

Watch now for Putin to make inroads with Egypt and Saudi Arabia - maybe even Israel. Then Putin can exert leverage to reduce Middle East oil output and increase Russia's share of the world market - its all they have to sell.

Donnie and his Master Putin's plan to Make Russia Great Again - and the US an isolated third-world country...

Trump (earlier today): Everyone is saying, "Wow! What a great outcome!"

Putin: Wow! What a great outcome!

Erdogan: Wow! What a great outcome!

Assad: Wow! What a great outcome!

Assad IS the legitimate leader of the country. Like him, or not. Who do you think is?

Nonsense. Why don't you provide some facts instead of elementary school level taunts...

"We came, we saw, he died, cackle, cackle, cackle", is literally what Hillary Clinton said about Gaddafis anal rape and murder by the islamist thugs that she supported. The video is out there, although CNN will not show it to you. Facts are not "high school taunts"

He's cutting and running because he's a coward - someone that won't stand up for his own country, but sells it out to Russia. A traitor.

He is FINALLY withdrawing from a stupid and illegal foreign adventure. How many Americans do you want to die in Syria, and for what exactly? The misguided regime change advocated by Israel and Saudi-Arabia? Anything else?

You want the US to attack the Turks?

No, I do not, but the Trump haters apparently do, by insisting that US military should remain in the area that Turkish troops invade.

Watch now for Putin to make inroads with Egypt and Saudi Arabia - maybe even Israel.

What you mean by "inroads"? Russia is a major power and has had ties in the area forever. And what is wrong with that? Where does this pathological hatred for Russia come from?

Donnie and his Master Putin's plan to Make Russia Great Again - and the US an isolated third-world country...

Every leader should try to make his/her country great. Only globalists want to destroy nation states and make opaque transnational organizations great.

Only if you're an Assad supporter and think he is a legitimate leader of the country. Putin does - do you agree?

Assad IS the legitimate leader of the country. Like him, or not. Who do you think is?

He may be the current leader but he is far from legitimate - his band of Alawites are aligned with Iran and have a history of atrocities against the Syrian people. If you support Assad, you support Iran - which I assume you do?

Facts, not stupid taunts - and get Hillary out of your head - she's been living there for three years...

So explain to me how pulling 200 Spec Forces troops out of Syria is good when Trump just sent 2000 troops to Saudi Arabia after the oil field attack, and over 14000 since May?

"Taken together with other deployments, this constitutes an additional 3,000 forces that have been extended or authorised within the last month," Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman said.

The US has increased the deployment of forces in the region by 14,000 since May, according to CNN. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had requested additional support, Mr Esper said.

You want the US to attack the Turks?

No, I do not, but the Trump haters apparently do, by insisting that US military should remain in the area that Turkish troops invade.

More nonsense. Why didn't Trump show some balls and tell Erdogan you won't invade Syria and you won't attack our allies the Kurds or we'll pull our nukes out of Turkey and apply sanctions that will "obliterate your economy" like he boasted before?

Watch now for Putin to make inroads with Egypt and Saudi Arabia - maybe even Israel.

What you mean by "inroads"? Russia is a major power and has had ties in the area forever. And what is wrong with that? Where does this pathological hatred for Russia come from?

Wrong. With the exception of Syria, Russian had no major partners in the Middle East - read some history and find out they were tossed out after Nasser died. But they do now - thanks to Trump...

Donnie and his Master Putin's plan to Make Russia Great Again - and the US an isolated third-world country...

Every leader should try to make his/her country great. Only globalists want to destroy nation states and make opaque transnational organizations great.

The Trumpers don't even hide their Putin love anymore - if you admire Russia so much, may I suggest you renounce your current citizenship and move there...

President Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for his masterful statecraft in Syria.

If gaslighting, craven stewardship and pathological behaviour is masterful, sure.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Good. Syria is back to being in the hands of the legitimate Syrian government and President Trump has extricated the US from Obama's ill-advised adventurism.

Assad is the leader, and it is not for the US to decide if is allowed to be or not. Is the Iraq and Libya experience not enough for you? And the Syrian Alavites are secular, unlike the Sunni islamists that Obama/Clinton wanted to replace the Assad rule with.

Facts, not stupid taunts - and get Hillary out of your head - she's been living there for three years...

"We came, we saw, he died, cackle, cackle, cackle" was literally Hillary Clintons to reaction to her handiwork... the anal rape by bayonett and murder of Gadaffi which she engineered. I suppose in your eyes that was OK, because he was "maybe the current leader but he is far from legitimate"? As for me, I have never been so disgusted by any politician's reaction in my life as when seeing that.

So explain to me how pulling 200 Spec Forces troops out of Syria is good when Trump just sent 2000 troops to Saudi Arabia after the oil field attack, and over 14000 since May?

I do not agree with sending troops to Saudi either. However, he is sending them there to protect the oil fields, and not to engineer regime change, because the Saudi king "may be the current leader but he is far from legitimate".

Why didn't Trump show some balls and tell Erdogan you won't invade Syria and you won't attack our allies the Kurds

Your CNN narrative is false. Turkey did not attack "our allies the Kurds", Turkey invaded to stabilize the area. To remind you, 15% of Turkeys population is Kurdish. You fail to explain why exactly it is in the US interest to illegally carve out a section of Syria to create a Kurdish state that is acceptable to neither Turkey nor Syria, and without discussion in the international community.

With the exception of Syria, Russian had no major partners in the Middle East - read some history and find out they were tossed out after Nasser died. But they do now - thanks to Trump...

So what? Russian behavior in the region has been vastly more responsible than the US with its illegal meddling and support for islamist terrorists under several governments before Trump.

The Trumpers don't even hide their Putin love anymore - if you admire Russia so much, may I suggest you renounce your current citizenship and move there...

The corporate swamp media have really whipped you in a Russia hate frenzy. Amazing how propaganda works. Just for the record, there is one Democrat candidate that I would probably prefer to Trump, I was a voter. But yes, according to Hillary Clinton, she too is a "Russian asset" now. I guess all non-CNN believers are these days...

You dodged the question - do you support Iran?

Facts, not stupid taunts - and get Hillary out of your head - she's been living there for three years...

Tell Hillary inside your head I said hello...

So explain to me how pulling 200 Spec Forces troops out of Syria is good when Trump just sent 2000 troops to Saudi Arabia after the oil field attack, and over 14000 since May?

He's sent over 14K troops to Saudi - they aren't being "brought home"....he's just doing more lying and his supporters are buying it...

Another question dodged...why? Can't answer it? Why didn't he just tell Erdogan that his incursion wasn't happening?

With the exception of Syria, Russian had no major partners in the Middle East - read some history and find out they were tossed out after Nasser died. But they do now - thanks to Trump...

So what? Russian behavior in the region has been vastly more responsible than the US with its illegal meddling and support for islamist terrorists under several governments before Trump.
