Why violence is with them, the pros ?

The 2M protestors in Hong Kong have been clear what they seek.

Has the SAR govt made a reasonable response to those conditions? Seems like that would be an easy way to solve this so everyone can get back to business.

I don't agree with all the protest requests, but a few of them do seem reasonable. They are citizens of Hong Kong after all. Govt is supposed to listen to the people who they represent.

theFu, if they are citizens of Hong Kong, then behave like one.

Just so we are all clear:

the deal was One country, two systems.

China is trying to change that deal.

If China wishes to live by the ancient maxim that justice matters only to those with the equal power to enforce it, then China will find itself only more isolated and her ambitions stymied.

China needs to have sanctions slapped on them. HK reverted back to them under an agreement and China is violating it.

Didn't the protesters/rioters say they were very sorry for their actions and will try to improve? Or did they really mean they will try to improve the effectiveness of their violent tactics?

China needs to have sanctions slapped on them.

So where is the UN and why aren't they doing anything to stabilize the situation?

Trump has threatened trade tariffs and sanctions against China for their treatment of Hong Kong and was roundly criticized here. So what you now saying is, sanctions against China are necessary, so long as they aren't U.S. sanctions?

The only country that can stand up to China is the U.S. But if the U.S. tries to help Hong Kong, you folks would criticize Trump/U.S. for being a "Imperialist Colonizer Meddler" and everything else.

Sigh. You people think we act like you people would act in the same situation. Don't work like that. The opposite of hyper-partisan is not hyper-partisan.

Here was my comment on Trump at that time:

Interesting. But good on Trump and the US for supporting HK. I approve.

As usual, the right tries to make false equivalencies, as if they aren't the ones who are clearly unethical and hyper-partisan.
