I really hope China moves all the Financial Activity to Shanghai - it'd be a lot cleaner for everyone, and would allow China to finally, integrate HK into its ecosystem.

Financial activity is not something that can just be 'moved'. The instutional frameworks and legal system that make Hong Kong a successful offshore financial centre do not exist in Shanghai or anywhere else in China.
