The Boeing that crashed trying to land at Schipol Amsterdam hit a ploughed field.

This Airbus was coming round for a second attempt to land in blustery conditions over high waves and seems to have caught a wing or a wheel, according to some reports.

sushi, one shouldn't play with stats.. We got pilots flying drunks, there is no road side cop pulling them over. We got unskilled people maintaining planes now. In the US we got incompetent security people. We got out dated systems watching the planes in air and we then got overzealous ATC's directing planes in air, and now we have worthless people watching for weather conditions.

You little stat offers no reassurance. Please keep in mind on other issues when someone uses stats against your arguments.

i often fly air canada which has a pretty good sized fleet of airbuses. not too sure if i want to book any future flights with them now. airbus needs to be investigated. two crashes in one month is a sign of corner cutting. the safety of airbus should be openly questioned instead of having the media pussyfooting around the subject. the eu needs to conduct a government investigation into airbus.

Since this crash happened several hours ago, the EU has already made a call to have a global blacklist of airlines without even waiting for information about the possible cause of the crash (even though the weather was bad in the area). I wonder why they weren't so quick to respond like this after the Air France crash. It is just one example of double-standards shown by so called "developed" regions such as the EU.

Bad month for Airbus.

Air france Flight447 airbus330-200 crashed into atlantic ocean , now Yemenia air's Airbus310 crash into another ocean ,the indian ocean.

Bad month for airlines travellers and airbus in June 2009,with 228 casualties in fight 447.

Are airlines following all quality standards and pilot standards ,which costs money.
