Posted in: Amazon Japan announces locker delivery service at train stations and convenience stores See in context

Because you are working, away on vacation, more green.

Everyone works. Unless you are ordering emergency insulin, or are homeless, it still makes little sense not to have it delivered to your home. You know when you are away on vacation, therefore no reason to order things. Just wait until home. More green? It's still being delivered, not saving anything going to a locker vs home.

If people are willing to pay it, it’s not a rip off. It’s the price.

Um, yea it is still a rip off, even if people are willing to pay it.

Smoking natural tobacco in moderation shouldn't be a big problem.

Now THAT'S hysterical.

Vaping is better for you than smoking and should only be used by smokers looking to quit. But it's being done by naive young people because they think it's cool.

Look at those prices again and tell me Japan is not the kingdom of rip offs. I'd love the company to explain how they came to their pricing scheme. Please justify why THAT is the price. They'll never do it without saying "because" 100 times.

As with all things Japan, it will be overpriced and underdeliver. Hotel rooms in Japan are tiny and way overpriced for no reason other than just to be overpriced. Doesn't matter if it's a big city or small town.

Why would you need to go to a locker rather than receive at home?

Sorry, Apple. As much as I really love your products (in general), you are selling old tech with fancy reinvented names at jacked up prices. There is nothing new and exciting in the pipeline. You don't know how to innovate anymore. Tim Cook isn't even fit to help Steve Jobs put his socks on. Too busy making Apple a social justice company.

The handoff is over and done with. Hong Kong is never going to be a free society as long as China has its hands wrapped tightly around it. Best the people living there can do is start applying for visas out of the country.

Shop elsewhere? It's the entire country priced overtly high. It's one thing if we're talking goods that had to come all the way from the EU/US/etc, but even when the stuff was made in country you get the bs "it's made in Japan" therefore it should be expensive. Doesn't matter if you're talking fruit, cars, clothes at the mall, etc.

This wives tale is no different than the "there's no litter in Japan", "everyone is so kind, well mannered", blah blah blah. It all comes down to who you have the pleasure or displeasure of interacting with. A quick look around the articles on JT clearly shows there are plenty of bad people here.
