@factchecker

Japanese drivers are atrocious. Japanese truck drivers are deadly.

Yes sir!

Had one in a 8 wheeler, as I was crossing the street, on the green man walk signal when this rig made a right turn in front of me and rushed right by me. I looked in the cab and 4 loosers' were tightly cuddled in it. To shocked to get a license plate, that time. and the crumbling continues.

"Those who were physically abused numbered 21,520, while 10,205 children experienced neglect or abandonment and 320 suffered sexual abuse."

I tried to warn some JN parent(s) who were letting their youngins wobble in the streeets, particularly of possible approaching speeding vehicles/scooters, and in both cases i was told to mind my own business in Japanese (sic).

Japan needs to introduce penalties for public bullying and psyho social, and trap intimidation profiling.

Abandoning a body here sporadically likely winds up under floor boards, in a "closet", in a river, or in the mountains.

"Police have put up posters at JR Yugawawa Station, containing a photo of a suspect taken from surveillance camera"

Perhaps some may possibly speculate the suspected perp may possibly have avoided that station and vicinity. The ward offices keep heavy documentation on past living area changes to new living areas, with copies of last known occupation and and addresses, and usuall with updated copies at kobans in a ward, esp for non jns. Not to mention curious ones watching new neighbors, faces and the millions of street cameras 2015.

Let me add facts:

If they determine he brought the drug in from the land of down under or elsewhere, he can be suspected of international drug trafficking.

ref:

https://www.interpol.int/en/Crimes/Drug-trafficking

"Drug trafficking affects all parts of the world as either source, transit or destination regions. ... Criminal networks traffic a range of drugs including cannabis, cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine. As international borders become increasingly porous, global abuse and accessibility to drugs have become increasingly widespread."

My guess is Kokobunji; because they have ISO earthquake building codes, like i.e. 7 floors limit, they say, and they use a lot of backup generators, solar power, etc, and not far from yokota air base, (within base police jurisdiction zone) if base assistance is needed for americans, vets, etc.

"Most roads lack a dedicated sidewalk. Call it bad urban planning or whatever, it's a simple fact here. Even in Tokyo, all you get is a narrow white line, where a sidewalk would go, I get it small land, overcrowding, but in country areas outside cities there are sometime no street lights or uber eats too, I get it Japan is still developing in many ways, but bad planning , and/or limited economic planning is also an issue. And I've see these crazy truck drivers run lights in huge trucks, and speed through residential areas. I almost got took out by one flying on perhaps "ice" through a J-hood.
