I hope they are mostly concentrating on recovering the bodies rather than the black boxes. But I guess my hope is.....

Not bad for a small commuter vehicle. 160km/100miles. A single charge would last me just under one week for the distance I travel to work. However, a 4 million yen price tag I do find very comical.

Another day, another murder reported on JT. This story in particular is very sick indeed.

JT -- How does someone who is Japanese-American personify "Japanese beauty at its best"?

I don't believe Jun represents "Japanese beauty", whatever that is.

She is a beautiful woman, why does JT need to characterize it as "Japanese beauty"?

What do they mean by Japanese-American? Is she half or is she an american citizen with Japanese decent or nationality?

Are you guys American or something?

Posted in: Flasher delays train for over 7,000 commuters in Saga See in context

I remember last year I was on the J.R Hanwa line on my way to Tennoji with a friend and some drunken guy sat next to us. Then he pulled his little todger out and started (well tried) to beat one off. Then he started asking us if he was in Umeda! We just got up and left the train. It was a funny and confusing experience at the same time really.

Posted in: Japanese girls go sexier in their fashion styles See in context

During my time in Japan, making friends with many of both male and female Japanese, I've come to realise and understand alot of the fashion is about expressing themselves. The fashion is pretty much anything goes and it changes like the wind; I like that alot. Almost any person in Japan can have some individuality. Most Japanese girls I talk to have also stated they like to look cute and express their good figure. Good on them I say, its in Japan!

Posted in: Woman arrested for abandoning newborn baby in Internet cafe toilet in Yokohama See in context

can you imagine going in to use the toilet but having a plastic wrapped fetus staring up at you.

wow.

No, unless somebody put one there as a sick joke bought from a sick joke shop. Real ones simply aint wrapped, nor are they wrapped in plastic. In reference to the article, its a new born baby and not a fetus, in which thank the spirits its ok. Shocking story indeed. But not the first i've came across and not the last.

Yes, let the kids have their fun. When they look back on this photo 20 years from now they might wonder what the heck they were thinking of, but for now it just looks like a harmless bit of fun.

+1 Agreed! At least they're not a bunch of miserable sods like some of the posters on here haha

Posted in: Nick Baker sent back to Britain to finish jail sentence See in context

Complaints about Japanese criminal justice, which actually works to protect their people, will continue to be slandered by the "civilized" West. I'm from the UK but i totally agree with that comment. At the end of the day our law system is way too soft by any means and it can be clearly seen every day, week in and week out. Nick Baker is probably laughing now on his way back over to the UK. Where he can relax in jail, daily shafting, play pool and probably study a trade before he gets out...on an early release.

Posted in: Seibu Railway employee held for molesting woman on Seibu line See in context

Fisting on the train? That's taking it a bit far!

LOL..dammit why am i still so immature!..But it was a funny comment though the way I read it. Can i just ask one thing for the guys in Japan right now...Are Japanese girls really so hot that this happens often? Or is it because the guys are so busy at work that they dont have much time to socialise and meet girls in the evening and weekends. I must admit i did laugh at the thought of a "ladies only" car but to be fair I think thats a good thing to keep them safe from this happening. I cant wait for my first visit to JP!

Posted in: ANA to raise international fuel surcharge from July 1 See in context

Travel agents should be required by law to advertise the air fares including fuel tax.

Yeah i agree with that. Whilst it may not stop people from moaning i think it will make more people understand where their money is going when they pay for air travel.

Maybe the truck driver was liquored up

If he was the headlines would have simply involved the words "drunk lorry driver" in the caption and article. In this case its clearly not.

Once again though, I dont seem the point in J-Bashing. It happens in the UK to. You knock somebody over even though it wasnt exactly your fault, you still get shafted.

The old man blatently crossed a dangerous highway and got killed up by traffic that probably just got a quick glimpse before it was too late. I believe the truck driver.

I'm chinese, I like most of countries in the world. By now, no japan in my list. but it is not in my blacklist also. Even you don't like chinese, just as I don't like japanese. Please show a little sadness. okay?

I see what you are saying. Try not to contradict yourself though. I for one understand that part of China is in a bad way right now because of this large Earthquake. I think its amazing what the troops are doing and everyone else is doing to help.

I've learned alot from wikipedia but i'd hardly reference it as the ulitimate teaching tool. Yes maybe to create hand outs for short "science". I admit i've used it before to study and copy paragraphs into my own words back in the day. haha. Its definatley a good "what does that mean" tool.

Posted in: Should Japanese language ability be a factor in determining the maximum length of stay on visas for foreigners? See in context

I still dont understand the people that want to live and work in Japan but expect everything to be handed out to them in English. Its just dumb! The same people that sit there bashing the Japanese culture and spit dummies out because they understand naff all about Japan or any other part of Asia. I really enjoy studying Japanese at Uni and i dont find it difficult. If anything I find it very challenging but its just a case of taking it all head on. Kanji is just a case of remembering thats all! (ask a Japanese child they might even point one in the right direction) Kanji I find fun. Why am i studying a BA in Japanese? So i can learn a little about the place of course before I depart from the ignorant Western world to live and work in Japan.
