@Not sure if I'm more uncomfortable with the salarymans gross actions or your bullying behaviour. Probably the latter. I would have looked the other way. He wasn't hurting anyone or spreading disease.

I'm more appalled at your response, which sends the wrong message. Political correctness and social stigma is dead.

IF the "sneezers" would use proper etiquette and both the schools and parents at home cover up their sneezing instead of blasting, hmm might no a bit to keep it contained vs airborne. Same for the old geezers who I saw one at very popular grocery store, blast away without covering into the uncovered fish aisle for sale. Finally highly recommend quarantine for those coming in from those countries. Not our fault that they were there regardless of the purpose. oh and wash wash wash your hands.

This LDP administration under the "ghost" supreme ruler Abe will do what ever they want as long as the public idiots are fed, grow fat and get more stupid. Abe will have the Constitution changed before he leaves office and no will stop him. Who would, no one has the power too anyway.

Posted in: Pompeo meets Japanese, S Korean foreign ministers as new sanctions hit N Korea See in context

Like this really means something; re: The two companies are North Korea's Namgang Trading Corporation and the China-based firm Beijing Sukbakso

all assets left are miniscule as these are only paper shell corps

dissolved the firms and rename them or move

new ones will emerge and then cycle continues.

Sanctions do not work and have never worked, NK is definitely proof of this. Where are the rockets? Well the stats show the NK's have done and do what they want. The US will never ever use military force and the NK's know this.

Best time to take off is when someone in position of power needs to be out of the way and let things run their course and not tied to them. Hmmm...Daddy looking out for the son. This guy doesn't even have the proper credentials for this position are the people in Japan really that blind? A position should be filled by a qualified individual not a "because he was someone's son".

Climate change caused by man as the majority is farce. The Earth like the human body is alive and undergoing changes just a the human body. Things change as is the natural selection of life such too climate will change whether man is here or not. If only environmentalists would stay out of the lanes, and let nature do its job as well as the indigenous peoples this wouldn't be an issue today. California learned that the hard way too.

Today is the year 2o2o and with as much fare money that the trains charge in Japan, over the numerous years should have more than enough capitol to pay for protective barriers and reduce the risks such as this mishap.

Japan getting involved in body of water that does not belong to Japan and protect as indicated by the Constitution. Abe just did this action on his own and soon just change the Constitution the way he wants since no is bold enough to stop him anyway.

It was still Trump's fault no matter what he does or doesn't do according to the Trump haters. At least Iran stepped up and manned up to it, though the evidence is heavily against them. Perhaps an apology for saying Trump was lying and the rest of America?

From what has been reported IMO the take is he made lots of currency, too much for just one CEO. Highly overpaid and overrated. With all the funds he has paid out and still has that much money left, the money trail is definitely suspicious.

Posted in: No. of foreign visitors to Japan hits record high in 2019 See in context

It is great to see people coming to visit Japan. One should always have an opportunity to see the world and experience it. However I do disagree with "Soon, the main second language in Asian countries will have to be Chinese..." The beauty of experiencing another country includes an understanding of that language used in the country being visited, at least enough to get around as one visits not the other way around. I don't expect any country to change its traditions and language to accommodate just one particular culture or language. It takes away from the experience that for the most part will be a memorable one over a cup of coffee or tea one day..

Waste of time and more Trump bashing vs supporting and doing their responsible jobs. Enough witch hunting and stalling. The nation needs the HOUSE controlled Democrats to stop wasting time and get to the real issues facing the country or else get them all voted out and get fresh faces in.

Posted in: Ghosn puts Japan's justice system on trial See in context

@This is important: "Japanese officials insist the conviction rate is so high because they don’t make mistakes."

Because if your on the other side of the law against Japan you have no rights to a fair and impartial trial. Guilty. Just like the media papers who everyday censor and oppress free speech Japan Times moderators not excluded as they will quickly suspend your account, remove your post if it doesn't suit the moderator reading it and doesn't understand, boom gone, that is censorship and oppression.

Posted in: Lebanon issues travel ban for Ghosn See in context

@ He will probably face some kind of punishment, but I 100% understand his feeling. You have to live in Japan to connect to it. He would rather face punishment abroad than anything in Japan. They way things work in Japan against the foreigner is that your guilty by default. You are not Japanese therefore you are guilty. You feel cornered, betrayed, fear, and all these gas lighting techniques are part of the game to blame you, for you to submit. Carlos is feeling free and normal now, and bringing the pain to the bullies.

Here's reality, I have been in Japan for over 17rs and as long as you do not break the law, no harm to you and even foreigners live in harmony. Don't break the laws that's it and all these feelings don't exist. If you do break the law, then pay the price. Everyone else in Japan does unless your super rich that is, in this case your ordinary.

Ghosn states he and his family were ripped apart. What about the many employees, customers, investors, researchers etc that could have benefited from the many profits taken had they only gone into the company and spread out. hmmm.

"I felt like the hostage of a country I served for 17 years," he told reporters., from what I recall and understand there was no noose, gun or knife pointed at him where he couldn't step down and find another job or run his own company. Nope he had all them 17 yrs to leave on his own free will but decided on greed to milk a cash cow. Hmmm bet he still has a nice portfolio too. This guy is a crook and surely someone out there will find a way to bring him back to face justice if not now in the future. Japan has lots of patience ask the Ahn group as they were all hanged even after years of their criminal cases.

Even better for the world would be for Trump to literally "stand down"

It wasn't Trump as most seem to not know the real culprit behind the scenes. That's the bum that people should be bashing if they need someone to bash. Iran sending missiles to areas where they did was only a farce as they are not idiots knowing their own doom. But follow the money, who gave them billions and but yet continues US bashing and ranting; it is not only the Iranians but the few making sure their names are all over the headlines but keeping and protecting their heavy investment and money making schemes quiet from the public in the form of 3rd party investment firms as board members or shell companies. hmmm. wonder who they are?

@What's worrying to me is many want the US under Trump to become an authoritarian state ala Russia or China.

No worries there and you shouldn't if your an American because under Trump that is not happening. The Patriot Act and letting sovereignty of the US to the UN was way before he was in office or considering the job. Don't blame Trump for the failures and weakening of the US by past administrations that simply is lame. Please do more research.
