Oh, I'm convinced, there's no such thing as global warming.

Oh I was just teasing. I believe the myth. Last summer wasn't that cold and this summer has been warmer then usual.

You are entitled to your opinions, also. < :-)

So between 1994 and 2004, unemployment was 5.1%

After bush gave the massive tax cuts to the rich the unemployment rate never dropped. Then as the years waned and the tax cuts were winding down to an end, the ultra rich moguls banked their profits from downsizing and sending jobs over seas. Not creating jobs here, overseas.

Now they want the tax cuts to continue, why? < :-)

Hey Molenir, how does having to borrow $100sBillions to offset tax cuts help this country? < :-)

Tough question Molenir?

Try to justify how the continued tax cuts would help this country, not just your pocket book. < :-)

Molenir,

The "dot-com bubble" (or sometimes "IT bubble"[1] or "TMT bubble") was a speculative bubble covering roughly 1995–2000 (with a climax on March 10, 2000 with the NASDAQ peaking at 5132.52) during which stock markets in industrialized nations saw their equity value rise rapidly from growth in the more recent Internet sector and related fields. While the latter part was a boom and bust cycle, the Internet boom sometimes is meant to refer to the steady commercial growth of the Internet with the advent of the world wide web as exemplified by the first release of the Mosaic web browser in 1993 and continuing through the 1990s.

Yeah I remember that and Clinton eased and calmed the market as bush was coming into office. Just before he choked on pretzels and was falling off his bicycle regularly.

I don't like Bush

Huh, you didn't say that. You're a bush lover, good grief.

I ask:

I'll play for a minute. Let's play that we were in a recession when bush took office, from the Clinton administration, why would the government, under bush, give away $4Trillion. You make absolutely no sense.

When we're so far in debt, jobs not stimulated by the bush tax cuts; what will continuing the tax cuts do besides line your pockets? < :-)

Molenir

The claimed reason for the Tax cuts in the first place?

I'll play for a minute. Let's play that we were in a recession when bush took office, from the Clinton administration, why would the government, under bush, give away $4Trillion. You make absolutely no sense.

Oh, maybe that tax stimulation would generate jobs. It generated jobs in China, India and Mexico. It didn't generate any jobs in the US.

Molenir, please explain what you're saying so I can understand where you're coming from. < :-)

Molenir,

we are supposed to forget that Bush inherited a recession as well.

Poop on that. bush walked into office with a surplus of revenue. What recession?

or that the economy boomed for most of the Bush years?

Double poop. It only boomed for those companies sending jobs overseas. Wasn't booming for all those millions who lost those jobs.

Molenir, looks like you're rewriting history again. <:-)

The republicans have spouted for years how tax cuts create jobs and for years I've waited for the jobs to start. Then after years of tax cuts and no jobs they are back onto the same old story, tax cuts create jobs.

Talk about a circle of lies and distortions. < :-)

They (We all) got the tax breaks that bush pushed through. Time over, they go back up. So be it.

But since we're so indebted and the republicans just scream and holler about the nations debts so much, they need to be right there refusing to allow anybody to receive tax relief and cheering the increases. < :-)

Hey CrazyAmerican, you talking about that advance refund check? That wasn't a tax cut, that was an advance on the next year's refund. If you didn't normally get refunds and normally pay at the end of the year, then you had to pay that back to because it was a refund you don't get. < :-)

Excuse me CrazyAmerican for my gaff.

As many prior service and current service members can tell you once you join the military you defend the constitution but alot of it doesnt apply to you.

I disagree with that statement. Except for a for those items that pertain to discipline, I'm not sure what in the constitution didn't apply to me after I enlisted. It was more like you were forced to be disciplined and respectful and courteous or you suffered the consequences of being an ass.

my problem is that I don't see how freedom of speech relates to this.

It's more that they have the right to be gay and serve in the military. The court said that the excuses that the military has used for 200 years are bunk. < :-)

Posted in: Obama: Voter anger could hurt Democrats in elections See in context

The congress could push a tax bill through that would allow the tax cuts against those making less than $250K to be extended, but if the republicans don't get the tax cuts against those making over $250K also extended, they will not work with the democrats.

So then we'll just see them all expire. So be it. <:-)

TimRussert,

Tell me how the last administration helped the majority of Americans create wealth with the country's mortgage problems, foreclosures and lost homes and the crash of the stock market.

Sarge

You're in the minority, adaydream, most Americans want the Bush tax cuts to be made permanent.

Most of the people that "you" talk to. Not the ones I talk to. Show me your link.

Oh quit blaming Reagan/Bush and baby bush. They can't help it. It's in their blood to take from the poor, what little they have and give it to the richest in tax cuts. They are the anti-Robin Hoods. < :-)

manfromamerica, I don't have a complex. I finally achieved an income status I never believed I'd attain when I was younger. However, I still have the mentality of when I was broke, too. I don't care for those who hide money, send it to off shore accounts.

That's why I want a "flat tax" not a "consumption tax". < :-)

sensei258,

I know gays don't run around attacking heterosexual men, but won't housing them together (and making them shower together in basic training) cause some problems?

No. I served for over 13 years and I knew gays. There was never a problem, NEVER.

CrazyAmerican, I can tell by your post you never served. You talk a lot, but apparently not from experience.

Maybe some of you need to join the military and get real life experiences instead of running your mouth about things you have no idea what you're talking about. < :-)

If you don't make a lot of money, then you're taxed on all of it. Now I know that there are deductions, minimums and credits, but it still very little money left over to us after taxes.

Then I hear a commercial on the radio today talking to those who have money and how to invest and then how to receive at least $100,000.00 of untaxed money deposited into your checking account each year. "Untaxed"

So if you don't have money, you can't have untaxed money, but if you're rich you can have untaxed money.

Then we hear about the rich needing these tax breaks. What for? You got money to invest and want more untaxed money. To hell with you. < :-)
