Impressive, I like how the tail portion swings open. But if you want to see a real monster check out the Antonov AN-225.

I don't know if he'll make it, but I do hope the franchise will be required to cite some of these "customer complaints", assumedly from people with late night munchies. If they did care about the customers would emptying the store be a suitable approach?

As mentioned above I hope he continues under a new name to gauge the support of the people. I'd go!

I don't know how the judging works, but the Chinese athlete put on a near flawless performance but still couldn't get close to this guy who faltered a few times.

He's obviously a top skater but I don't think he deserved it this time.

Fourth time running? Why do people love to vote for the same people year in year out. I guess the other candidates weren't "tested" enough...

I bet you if it was the usual guy with foot-in-the-mouth disease who made that statement nothing whatsoever would have happened to him.

Yep, he should go when Aso goes.

It's not nature, otherwise every location would have the time set exactly to the sun. Instead we have pre determined time zones, and Japan spreads broadly with the sun rising at different times depending on east or west location yet every prefecture sets their clocks to the same time.

To make it more even, east Japan should move their clocks forward an hour to join the time zone it is teetering on anyway.

Posted in: Osaka charms Japan with her manners — and broken Japanese See in context

Some interesting insights here.

I don't think it is really appropriate to be upset at Japanese for being conscious of foreign heritage, they didn't grow up in the multicultural societies that we did. Things are changing though thanks to Naomi and others who attract attention to the topic.

I have two haafu daughters, the oldest in middle school, and they are very well accepted by their peers for who they are. Soon these young peers will become the majority of the population and heritage will no longer be a hot topic.

And congrats Naomi!!

Work style reform (hatarakikata kaikaku) should be about making inefficient work practices more efficient. Anyone who has bought a house in this country will know how much work is involved in being an agent.

up to three visits are allowed in seven consecutive days and 10 visits in 28 consecutive days.

Why do they always apply such complicated rules here?

Anyway, I would have thought that even once per week would be considered an addiction.

Elderly drivers on the streets is one of many reasons why people on their bikes should look before entering a road, not ride on the wrong side or the center of the road, etc. Confidence seems to trump common sense these days. I'm speaking in a general sense, not about this particular incident.

This kind of thinking is exactly the problem with gambling in Japan. Like balls bikes boats and horses are fine, and the evil casinos are to be wary of.
