No offense Himajin, but that's not my fault. Someone's poor health (especially from horrible habits - sitting Japanese style comes to mind when I think of the knee problems I see in this country) does not mean you get a free card to be a tool. Society tends to treat elderly the way they do because of stereotypes. Ones that they've created and or escalated. I have no problem ignoring an old lady on the train carrying huge bags from a department store. You have the strength to walk around and shop all day (on a pension you didn't work for) and now you're "tired." Sorry, ZERO sympathy.

Don't think it's elderly or young people as it is just "people."

I've seen all ages be complete morons either selfishly or obliviously when it comes to manners.

See elderly people do all kinds of stupid in the train and then go to Makudo and see kids leave piles of trays stacked high with garbage on the table. Housewives, salarymen, you name it.

I got to give it the elderly here though, they get very creative with their rudeness. Had an old lady skip a whole line of people at the ticket gate (I was next in line) in the morning rush. When I called her out for being so rude (shitsure na!) she turned around and was said "gomen nasai" like it was an accident to skip 30 people!

Japan preparing Y5.4 trillion economic stimulus package = Japan preparing Y5.4 trillion for construction contracts for their pals in the industry.

I'm not sure where this backward compatibility thing came into play. The SNES couldn't play NES games. Nor the N64 the SNES or NES. Nor the Gamecube and so on. The first system I ever heard of this was the PS2.

Either way, I used to have every console I could because I love games and there used to be A LOT of exclusives. That's not the case anymore.

I want a PS4 but I won't be getting one until the MGS comes out. Even then, I don't want to drop $400 on ONE game.

I feel I've barely got ANY use out of my PS3 and now the PS4 is here. If I wanted it bad enough I could get it from Amazon USA or eBay as others could as well.

There aren't any games that are must haves or exclusive to make me go camping outside for one.

Don't get me wrong, I DO want one but I have a huge backlog of games and I7m still getting all kinds of use out of my 360 and PS3.

Inaka: BF? The online maybe good if it's not hacked, but BF3 as a whole was pure doo doo. many COD players and myself don't like the Treyarch versions of the game (BLOPS 1&2). The game feels different and it's just not as a polished. Unfortunately you are right about the "bros" who play the game. However, I've been playing MW3 since January and the 12 year olds and bros make up about 10% of the user base. At least from my experience. I haven't played Killzone enough to make any comment about it. I have such a huge backlog of games to play since having a baby that I don't have time for any new games. With MW3, I can just get online and have an hour of fun before having to go to sleep or whatever else I need to do.

I'm looking forward to Ghosts though. I wasn't playing online when COD4 & MW2 were peaking so I have no idea how the online play is going to be. Hopefully they'll keep the points system kill streak. Hopefully I can pick it up next weekend after I get paid!

YES!!! Why wouldn't you? The only reason it's illegal is many big companies are afraid of it being used as a replacement.

If they cut corners on one product what makes you thin they don't on all?

You know because the fish keep their distance too, right?

GOP's idea of "compromise." This is what they want done to reach a deal:

As reported by the National Review, the House Appropriations Committee has drafted a bill, dated Tuesday, September 24, 2013, that would require the following things to happen as the price for extending the debt ceiling through December, 2014—

Delay Obamacare for one year The adoption of the Ryan tax reform plan Approval of the Keystone XL pipeline Additional offshore oil drilling Additional drilling on federally protected lands Revised coal regulations Suspension of the Environmental Protection Agency’s attempts to regulate carbon emissions A complete overhaul of the Dodd-Frank financial regulations More Congressional power over the consumer Financial Protection Bureau by giving Congress more power of its budget Repeal of the Social Services Block Grant program Additional means-testing for Medicare Repeal of the Public Health trust

Posted in: Tests: New iPhones less durable than iPhone 5 See in context

Just buy a case for it. My 4s is in pristine condition because I bought a cool thick silicon case for it. I've dropped it on concrete and my baby son has had his way with it (including chucking it). It works fine and has no internal or cosmetic damage.

That's the trade of when you by these high priced gadgets. People want feather-light phones with sleek designs. If you want durability then the internal capacity is going to suffer or you're going to be carrying a brick (a la Nokia).

Sometimes it's fun to wait in line for something new. I did it a few times for when some of my favorite games that came out (Halo 2 for example). I didn't wait in line all night because I wanted to be one of the first ones to have it. I just wanted to play it ASAP!

Who cares if they want the new version of the phone? Maybe they don't have a 5.

I want a 5s because my old iPhone is getting long in the tooth (iPhone 4s). My contract is up soon so I'll get it then.

I could REALLY care less about an all-in-one media center in my living room as I prefer the internet and games to TV & movies.

I liked my 360s a lot and I'm glad they dropped all of the mandatory always on and spy cam but I just can't trust MS. One firmware update and it's right back.

Doesn't really matter anyway, half of the features they offer and even the XB1 itself won't be available here in Japan so PS4 it is for me! ( I was gonna buy both but there's no reason to....)

As much as I don't like Abe, he's doing all of the things he said he would. Are those things good? For some people they are but not for your average Japanese. A lot of his plans are quick fixes that will only benefit a select few in the near future.

He needs to sort out the Tohoku region and get the nuclear crisis under control before my thumb even begins to point north.
