asian tourist: Jackie Chan also loves China where he lives and works most of the time. His love spreads far and wide around the world. I doubt if Jet Li likes sushi or has filmed with Japanese stars, but he also made a big donation to the Japan Red Cross.

sushi and other things belong to Japan>

what does sushi and Mitsubishi have to do with being generous and caring?

This article neglected to mention the participation of celebrities from China, Taiwan and S. Korea for this event. Entertainers in Taiwan had a big telethon raising millions for the victims last weekend.

Mao believed in perpetual revolutions and would approve of the spreading global uprisings and frown upon China's current leadership and bourgeois lifestyles.

China sent six planes to evacuate Chinese tourists during the height of the demonstrations. So it's doubtful whether the populace is totally ignorant about what's happening there. A friend who reads Chinese reported that various Chinese websites and online papers reported the chaos in detail on the front pages with pictures.

Tokyo is a a social desert. X million people living in isolation in the same physical area. Sex is in decline, friendship rare, social circles a myth and interpersonal skills illusory. Sad

This must be the consequence of a rich high tech society that was the pride of Japan. Seems like a cliche, but poor and 'backward' societies have it better with extended family members caring for each other.

Badsey: Mubarak was propped up by the US government for being the first Arab state to recognize Israel. Obama can hardly be blamed for US policy set in place 30 years ago.

Anyone who mimics and insults Jews or Blacks would have been raked over the coals and fired. Asians who demand apologies are castigated as humorless crybabies.

They used bad acting Chinese actress for that Japanese Geisha story. How stupid? There are many discrimination about becoming an actor in Hollywood.

There were many Japanese and Korean actors who played Chinese roles in Hollywood movies and TV shows. Is that discrimination?

Moderator: Readers, please focus your comments on "The Green Hornet" and its cast.

an honest look at what made all of this possible, that is, why China became so weak as to be unable to prevent some Japanese soldiers on a blood-lust rampage

Japan actually prefers a weak and docile China, otherwise the Japanese media wouldn't be trembling about the 'Chinese military threat' while China is building up her military to prevent history from repeating itself.

The 2 year old was asleep when Mark committed suicide. He was still sleeping when a relative went to the house and found Mark's body. It's easy to condemn him as being selfish, but the blame should be placed on Bernie for not considering the consequences for his greed.

The shame and humiliation of his father's bad deeds were too much for the son to bear. Ultimately, he paid for the sins of his father.

Chinese will be the offical language of japan. Sorry to talk reality but it's true. 40 years from now, Chinese influence will dominate Japan.

It's several centuries too late, since Japan copied everything Chinese from art to zen 1000 years ago. If relations get any worse, Japan should purge all Chinese influence from their culture. No more kanji, gyoza, ramen, bonsai, etc.etc.

There was a time decades ago when Japanese tourists had the reputation as being boorish and obnoxious. In general, they're much more polite now.
