Once again the "Interment Camps" instead of Concentration Camps. An again, what about those detained in South America countries and sent to US camps under orders of Washington? Any one with figures from Japanese-Peruvians who were sent as cattle in cargo vessels?

Posted in: Experts ponder why cruise ship quarantine failed to prevent spread of virus See in context

You don't need to be an expert, you don't need to be a scientist to figure out that the decision to quarantine a ship was the most stupid decision made by who knows who. That ship should be quarantined for at least a year before going to sail again. Of course I will not buy a cruise ticket in that ship.

Posted in: Japan confirms 99 more cases of coronavirus on cruise ship See in context

In my modest opinion it was an irreparable error to quarantine the passengers forcing them to remain in the ship. That's why the number of infected persons is increasing and will increase day after day. Even the US and Australia decision to evacuate their nationals was too late.

As time goes by it is politically correct to comment as most do here. But the question is how many think differently? As time goes by, we realize that nothing in life is certain, apart from death.

The US government said clearly. We don't have allies we have satellites and satellites do what we order. If satellites don't obey we show the big stick. Not exactly verbatim but referring to the U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt's foreign policy: "speak softly and carry a big stick, you will go far."

I was Abe's fan. I even admired him, but with all that is happening, not only about Korea, but the disputed territories with Russia, the Okinawa never end humiliation and this humble about Donald "Duck" Trump I now think that I was as wrong as he is now.

A bad agreement is better than no agreement at all. The problem as always are the US pressures against Tokyo.

Posted in: Japan considers transforming helicopter destroyer into aircraft carrier See in context

It is much better to invest in cruisers, frigates and destroyers, even submarines than large extremely vulnerable carriers, unless an invasion is on sight.

If all US bases in foreign countries are closed for good the peace in the world is warrantied. Nobody wishes war except war mongers and colonialists.

Watching the World Cup 2018 and particularly at the final ceremony the performance of Era Istref, Nicky Jam and Will Smith singing "Live It Up" I asked myself: Is Russia the enemy? Or must we look far across the Pacific ocean?

It depends of what monarchies we are talking about. For instance the Japanese monarchy is a respectful one but the British and the Spaniard monarchies are really a shame.

Discipline in US Armed Forces not only in Japan but all around the world are questioned since a very long time. Just ask Okinawans. The list of disciplined members (including staff officers) is very long from admirals to privates.

I always watch the Sumo Tournament and is a pity that Harumafuji will not be anymore. However, it is his decision. On the other side, this should be investigated and an official statement should be published.

Once again. That's normal. Alcohol prohibition was ordered years ago for all US military personnel in Okinawa. As always the US marine will be sent back home and soon a new drunk or sober US soldier will commit another crime with impunity.

Anyone that knows basic military tactics have read Sun Tzu. He said: "To a surrounded enemy, you must leave a way of escape" and "Show him there is a road to safety, and so create in his mind the idea that there is an alternative to death...".

Harrasement is not a good idea unless someone is seeking some means to start a war far away from his neghbourhood. Be carefull Trump, be carefull Abe, nobody wants a war except the war mongers in accross the ocean.

I love Japan, really, but I can't understand why this crime is committed with total impunity. Killing 177 whales in order to open their stomachs just to see what's inside is an stupid pretext that I can't agreed with.

No matter how large or small is the bomb. A nuke is a nuke and we already know the consequences of a blast of such weapon. It is time to stop such ordeal and the only way is stopping the US aggressiveness against any government they don't like.
