Posted in: Trump's promised 'Liberation Day' of tariffs is coming. Here's what it could mean for you See in context
It’s obvious by these comments that virtually nobody really understands what’s going on in the world of tariffs. We’re all moaning about the US putting on tariffs on Japanese products. What about the enormous tariffs Japan places on US beef and rice and corn and soy bean and other agricultural products. Wouldn’t it be great to get a great big tenderloin at a reasonable price? But no nobody thinks about that. All they think about is poor old Toyota.

after reading the headline, I assumed it was a young driver with their face planted in their phone, but I was wrong—it was an elderly driver. Honestly, I think younger drivers using their phones are even more dangerous on the road. My thoughts go out to the kids and their families.”

With Japan, throwing all the money it can at women to try and get them to have more children this could become an even bigger problem. You want to see how wrong things can go when you throw money at people to get them to have more children, just look at how badly it has affected the United States. Especially communities heavily reliant on the welfare system. Just look at how out of control the rate unwed motherhood has gotten over the past few decades of the welfare state.

Been happily living in Japan since the 70s. Raised kids here and now helping raise grandkids. I really love living here. It’s safe and quiet and the people act like human beings. How long do you think that will last if Japan allows mass immigration? Especially if they allow anybody from anywhere in. People who want to come to Japan but not except Japanese culture. People who want to create their own little neighborhoods were their little group huddles together.

I was recently diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer. And I tell you what the treatment is not cheap. Currently chemotherapy plus the hormone therapy I’m going through costs, about ¥80,000 a month, out-of-pocket. Don’t believe I’d be able to afford any more increases.

I have lived in Japan since 1977. I agree with all those saying that Japan is a lovely and safe place to live. That’s exactly why I have stayed so long. I have learned the language (probably not as well as I should have considering how long I’ve been here) and I have anI have assimilated into the culture and get along with everyone around me.
With that said, I have one question. How long do you believe Japan would stay the kind, safe, and lovely place we all enjoy so much, if they allowed massive immigration (all in the crazy name of “diversity”) of other cultures who do not respect Japanese norms and rules? Cultures who come to Japan and just want to change it into the countries they came from? I see the TikTok videos of many young foreigners complaining about this or that aspect of Japan and wanting to change it. Japan doesn’t need that kind of foreigner. Just saying.

I’ve lived in Ishikawa prefecture for 35 years I remember the Kobe quake you could feel it here. I also remember one year prior (to the day Jan. 17’th) the Northridge quake in California happened. A section of the 10 freeway collapsed killing a bunch of people. The news over here was going on and on about “how that could never happen in Japan because we know how to build roads“.. Then the Kobe earthquake happened and a section of tollway collapsed, killing a bunch of people. I remember thinking “but I thought that could never happen in Japan because you know how to build roads” I remember thinking what sad irony.

Hey jerseyboy,, you're being critical of Japan in a forum filled with Japaophiles. No wonder you're getting negative likes.. As you I too am no huge fan of China.. Nor am I a huge fan of Japan's media generated month of self-pity every August. If one didn't know any better and all you knew of WWII was what you learned from Japan's media in August .. Not only would you get the impression that Japan was a victim of the war but that she was the only victim....

About the poll. Hypothetical here. I wonder what this same group of 63% would have to say after repeated American apologies for dropping the bombs ?? I'm willing to bet no number of apologies would ever be enough. And you know why? It's simple. Everybody wants to be a victim.

Apparently this poor little child slipped through a hole in the fence. Most of the irrigation ditches where I have lived in Japan are not fenced or covered in anyway. Many times I have thought to myself as I walk or drove along how dangerous the ditches look. Completely uncovered and all. Anyway as far as parental supervision goes have any of you ever noticed how many two year-olds you see standing up on the passenger seat of a moving vehicle?..

I was thinking the exact same thing slumdog. They make it sound as if it's not the mother's fault at all.. They're only asking for four years simply because she seems remorseful. Bullshit! She should get life. But hey if she does only get four years just remember to act remorseful if you ever get caught killing a kind. Pathetic!

Akuma has come to find that it's usually men who have never been circumcised who like to call it "mutilation"in order to justify their not being "mutilated "..Anywaysy, , Just ask women what they prefer. A mutilated or unmutilated penis. Akumas guess is overwhelmingly they will choose mutilated penis.
Yes Akuma has been mutilated. And he is very thankful for it.. it is much easier to clean, there is never that cheesy smell , sexual sensation is much greater, and the risk of contracting AIDS is greatly reduced. Don't believe Akuma just google it.
