Posted in: Japan faces scrutiny over longer detentions at immigration centers See in context

Not just someone, his parents did and then he himself was indicted on fraud... you know as in defrauding someone gravely enough to be sent to reform ( instead of jail cause he was minor ) , he is an illegal criminal and has no place in Japan.

If thats the best example for unjust detention they can bring up , there is no problem in Japanese immigration., in fact it should probably be stricter.

nothing surprising and why not grab more cash out of tourists, but I certainly hope at lease 1% of it will be used for tourists and kyoto residents to improve public services and information facilities...

I believe , most likely it will be spent at kyaba and auto salons.

Give him a stern warning and direct him towards proper mentor and studies, he is definitely much brighter than most his age in Japan and much more curious .

He reminds me myself at that age... I did quite a few experiments back then , unfortunately or fortunately we didnt have 3d printers

1Q84 was a bit of a flop comparing to earlier works, but he is amazing writer.

English translations are actually really bad comparing to original Japanese and even Russian or Hebrew , the movie was absolutely horrible too.

but yea, the complainers here are most likely failed writers diminished to teaching nova english... its ok, they got nowhere else to vent except here or in from of conveni on cheap chuhis.

Posted in: Putin says Russia has identified suspects in Novichok poisoning See in context

UK gone mad... May will do anything to divert attention but its unlikely to work.., simply because more and more people stopped believing the idiotism media feeds them and started to do their own thinking., based on factual evidence.

It makes absolutely zero sense for Russia to poison not one but two people, with agent that could be linked to Russia , botch it while it could easily be done in a cell or in Russia and would be much easily done with any conventional weapon.

The whole UK investigation has absolutely nill evidence ... and most other countries stopped believing it.

In addition, it somehow also happened just near by UK chemical warfare plant.. that also has samples of novichok in possession...

If UK has any concrete evidence, or testimony for motive ( both victims are alive and well so they must have ) they should be fully and openly releasing it , making Russia answer... but they dont and the whole thing is just a fake political game that has been going for too long and they simply dont know how to get themselves out without losing face.

in general, no convicted mass killer should be wasting public money ,eating or using resources.. locking em up in cells with no access to food , water or fresh air would be fine too.. I am talking about proven mass murderers.

Not really, I generally think faster executions are better but letting em wait instead of converting it to " life" which is like what 20 years in most countries is definitely ok with me.

Simon, gotta break some eggs.. the innocent rate is too low anyway.. in fact the system should be made to work much faster, once sentence committed, execution asap.

Posted in: Cruel yet popular punishment: Japan's death penalty See in context

Great, they should anguish not knowing when execution comes, that is the punishment...

after they are dead , no punishment anymore....

That said, a better system could be devised, why would you need real people doing it today, just do a computer controlled execution, with a random lottery on the date / hour.

Use the money to improve public transport, shielded bus stops with seating for elderly, bike lanes and so on...

Why this pandering to the auto lobby disguised as a benefit even needed.
