@Solzasco: it's funny, you said the Italian government is anti-French, but you can't see how France government is anti-Italian.

@Samit Basu: do you want to read Italian Press? I repeat, Italian media are saying the same things of this article.

@daito_hak: but also Italian media are saying FCA wanted Nissan technology. And it's interesting enough how they blame the failure of the deal on the French, while they understand Japanese position. If you think Japanese are nationalist, you don't know the French yet.

The article spoke about how in the 80s, American auto workers smashed Japanese cars. The violent behaviour of a loser. If someone is better than you, try to improve yourself, and you will win. Violence and boycott are useless. During the 90s America developed the internet Revolution, while Japan lagged far behind the US in this field. Apple won the Japanese market, but you don't see Japanese people smashing iPhones in the streets. Now Americans are coming paranoid over Chinese smartphones and technology. History repeats itself.

@zichi: the article already answered to your question. Japanese 5G technology will be ready next year.

Like the article said, China 5G technology is superior to everyone. In my opinion, this is the only reason why the US asked to boycott Huawei. I bet if China hadn't had this technology superiority, nobody would have spoken about China spying everyone and stuff.

So, let's speak about poors, migrants, etc, and you win. I wonder how much these prizes have to do with the quality of the movies rather with the fact to touch some politically correct topics, since we live in an age of fake good feelings.

Honestly, I don't understand it. Nobody is forcing American consumers to buy foreigner cars. It's their choice, so this obsession of American administration, implying there's something "unfair" in the trade between the US and other Countries, is stupid. If you don't want to buy something, you don't buy it, despite there's plenty of it.

And yeah, Chinese government can be very harsh towards its own people. But, honestly, it's not our business. Chinese want only to trade with the rest of the world, not changing our political system and values.

The US should accept they must grow together with the world, not ABOVE everyone. Which is the problem if they are not number One anymore? It's not like American people would start to starve. There are so many things that American politicians can do to improve the life quality of their people, like to create Universal health care system, for example. All things INSIDE American borders. China can't be stopped, it's a huge Country with more than 1 billions of people and a smart and educated workforce. The US should learn to work TOGETHER with the other Countries in a multipolar world, where even if you are not the Number One anymore, you can be still an Amazing Country respected by both your people and abroad. Instead the American leaders chose the greedy and suprematist way, and this whole Huawei case is only the tip of the iceberg. They brainwash their own people with superheroes movies all the time, so also your average American person has always this American superhero mindset since his childhood. The world doesn't need "superheroes", but peaceful cooperation and respect. If you can't be the Number One anymore, because the times changed, you can be an Amazing Number two or three. Every Country can have its own eccellenze accepting its new role. The other alternative, it's scary: war. It brings only sufference. America is losing the respect also of its allies, that follow its crazy moves more for fear of sanctions, revenge, etc, than for any real advantage. I wonder if this is what American people want to be for real.

I can only see this. When China was only used for work exploitation by Western companies, all these "trust problems" didn't exist. Now, just because Chinese became a technology powerhouse that can work for themselves, not as slaves for the others anymore, we shouldn't trust them anymore. Probably I am too stupid to understand.

@Yubaru: again, it's impressive how you turn a problem caused by the US into a Japanese problem. European mobile carriers are doing the same things as Japanese mobile carriers, if you didn't know it. We are having this mess worldwide thanks to Trump paranoia to lose to China.

@Strangerland: our personal data are already in American hands for decades. We have not any privacy anymore. This is only an excuse by Trump because Chinese technology became superior to American technology. Honestly I am starting to be tired of this crap. As usual, because of stupid American paranoia, us Europeans will be hurt, like with American sanctions towards Russia. Stop!

@Yubaru: impressive. This is a mess caused to the consumers worldwide by Trump, and also here some people like you find and excuse to bash Japan. Again, impressive.

Honestly, my smartphone is Chinese but not Huawei, anyway I have some close friends with Huawei smartphones and they are very afraid because of this mess that Trump is doing. Trump, people have already spent their Money on these smartphones, stop this stupid trade war.

I meant to write this in my earlier comment.

It's the same reason why so mamy people, especially in East Asia, speak about Germany as a model; Greek voice is weaker than Israel and Germany voice, so as long as Germany apologies to Israel, it's enough for the International community. As @IloveCoffee said "nobody cares about Greece" (I REALLY care about Greece and I think this Country has been ruined by Germany, but again, Germany soft power is strong regardless what I think).

Posted in: S Korea to carefully review Japan arbitration call on wartime labor See in context

@Saitamaliving: Exactly! The difference between South Korean propaganda and Japanese propaganda abroad is huge. Also on YouTube, there's plenty of South Korean videos and channels that do political propaganda against Japan. Almost every foreign person who knows about these problems between Japan and SK already embraced SK narrative, and She/he thinks Japan never apologized, since South Korea comunication skills Japan ones. It's all about propaganda, and South Korea wins under this aspect. It uses also kpop artists to promote these things, while Japan doesn't involve political propaganda in its media exported abroad.

Posted in: S Korea to carefully review Japan arbitration call on wartime labor See in context

@alwaysspeakingwisdom: I read that SK is sure to win, thanks to the International current mood about problems involving human rights. Every Country that is labeled as "right winger" lost, no matter which the problem is. We see the same kind of hysteria in the EU on a daily basis. For example, if you support a more rational attitude towards mass immigration, calling for a healthy regulation, you are "a right winger".

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Posted in: S Korea to carefully review Japan arbitration call on wartime labor See in context

@alwaysspeakingwisdom: No, Japan will lose. Not because they are wrong, since they already settled the matter with more than one deal, and I think it's enough, but because of some reasons that have more to do with strategy than with Justice.

All the European Countries are in a very different situation compared to the US.

Posted in: S Korea to carefully review Japan arbitration call on wartime labor See in context

I mean...the US never paid for any war where they were involved or that they started. They are the leader of "human rights", despite everything. They can judge the others, but nobody judges them. Even if they take the SK side, nobody can ask them to pay for their war crimes. It never happened.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Posted in: S Korea to carefully review Japan arbitration call on wartime labor See in context

I guess the third Country could be the US. It was never considered "a colonial power", but a moral exemple for the world and "the leader" in human rights protection. Nobody could ask the US for some compensations...In this case, South Korea would win.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

Posted in: S Korea to carefully review Japan arbitration call on wartime labor See in context

@ksteer: I wonder which Western Country with a past as a colonial power would like to be involved in this one, by supporting South Korean claims. It could set a dangerous precedent. Honestly, not even South Korea is so clean. Everyone knows what SK soldiers did during Vietnam war. So far to Vietnam wasn't politically convenient asking for reparations to SK, exactly like until SK was a developing Country, it accepted Japanese economic aid without asking for new war reparations. South Korea's attitude changed when it was developed enough. Vietnam attitude could change as well in future.

@ksteer: I doubt Germany would support South Korea, or it would be forced to accept all the Greek claims for further war reparations that it always rejected.
