It befuddles the mind. Haven't there been less jail time given for murderers in recent cases? People who murder should automatically get life in prison (unless in self defense). There should be some 'reward' for not taking the life of a human. Perhaps 5 years per day of abucted time of the victim..?

IF 10 years is max in this case then 10 years is what these people should be getting. What on earth are these judges thinking?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? These men ALL participated in a killing if an innocent human life and then they ALL participated in hiding their crime.

Unfortunately the way repressive regimes work is they manage to hold "elections" in which the outcome is predetermined and the peoples' votes just a charade. I wonder when Chavez was in power whether he was rightfully the winner or were the circumstances arranged as to make sure there wasn't a clear and true opponent to vote for. Mr. Putin is a perfect example. Of course he stands up for this "President". These low-life dictators really know how to look out for each other. And, it's a bit disheartening to see that they have such a following beyond their borders as well. We, members of the "free world", should be careful what we wish for.

Big wrong. Why would Japan have to meet Korea in Sweden, half world away ? Abe can go to China and meet Koreans anywhere in the Northeast.

Obviously Japan needs to be in NEUTRAL territory to speak frankly with N.Korea. China is obviously not neutral, far from it.

I'm not a Republican and I'm not a Democrat. I support both, depending on the issue at hand. In this case I have changed my mind. SOME parts of the US/Mexico border NEED a wall. Whoever disagrees is just plain and simply wrong. Period.

This whole 'wall' thing is a bit confusing. No matter whose side you're on (Dem/Rep), both make good points. However, unfettered illegal immigration in such large numbers will not make ANY country stronger. The US has PLENTY of its own citizens who are in dire needs and with people's taxes going to support those in dire needs from neighboring countries does not and will not help The US, and only helps in weakening it at this point.

I think fix what's broken and put a hold on allowing so many to enter at this moment in time and once things are in better shape in our own home we can start helping our neighbors, too.

For now, $5.7 billion dollars doesn't seem like a valid reason for Ms. Pelosi to warrant her refusal to budge on this shutdown. Yes, President Trump is not a nice/easy person to deal with but she doesn't seem much nicer/easier, either.
