Usually the official anthems are not so popular at all, fans find out the fun music now via the Internet. BBC Culture website yesterday had a good selection of unofficial World Cup anthems - Monty Python, Shakira, Vaudeville Smash etc - have a look!

I reckon step by step one of the only things my MIL can do for herself is make a cup of green tea. She's drunk it all her life and it didn't stop her sinking into this sad disease. Mind you - I'm currently boiling down cans of coconut milk in the hope that coconut oil will somehow stop me losing my marbles. :-)

Heading to Rio for 5 days of soccer-mad partytime...but nervous about the security. Planning to take cash in two wallets (one to be robbed with), dressing down-as-usual, not using credit/cash cards at ATMs, only using booked taxies from hotels and digging out the money belt. Did I forget anything?
Oh - and having a lot of fun with a soccer-mad country :-)

I reckon he HAD to tell the police they had an argument that evening because probably neighbors in the building heard raised voices. But between argument and him calling the police with this story...I wonder how long. That area is very near forests and rivers, if he has a car he could get the body down the stairs and away quick. I think, sadly, they will find her in a river somewhere soon. But I hope to be proved wrong :-)

He killed her. Disposed of the body. Then called his keitai with her cell phone. Threw away her keitai. Then called the police. 99% certainty on that :-)

A scuba diving instructor student said today they often carry floats and mirrors, but not flares - I think that would be a good idea - like skiers or sailors.

Am I the only one who watched the press conference and thought: "...and is this guy blind?"...what's with his eyes? So a fake deaf guy didn't write the music and a real blind guy did? Sorry....not PC comment...but twas what I thought.

Posted in: Missing Sapporo girl rescued from confinement; man arrested See in context
Drove past the end of the street a few hours ago - swarms of media still. It's just an ordinary street, yards from the mainroad. It IS amazing that she followed him there etc. Students are telling me that 2 weeks ago kids at the school told a teacher about a strange guy flashing himself at them and a warning message had gone out in the school newsletter to parents. And STILL she followed him home....luckily a parking area camera caught them walking away, and the neighbor noticed the magazines. So glad it's a happy ending.

So sad. I was driving in this area at exactly that time Monday, going over and over it in my mind to think if I saw anything unusual. She was last seen only 100 m from her home....100 m!
