@ThePower

When the Americans wrote the Japanese a new constitution in '51 (The San Fransico Treaty) they included a clause preventing Japan from ever holding a proper military ever again (and therefore agreed to act as Japan's military). So no, the Americans are here for the long haul.

I cringe when I see other Gaijin making social paux pas. It makes me feel lucky that I (used to) live in the countryside, where people usually never see foreigners.

Unfortunately, some bad apples will ruin it for the rest of us.

If all the teachers were degree qualified teachers, then the salaries would have to be substantially higher and Eikaiwa would become an unprofitable business.

On a unrelated note, it never ceases to amaze me how jaded most foreigners are in this country. If you don't like it, don't complain, just go home.

The Ebisu Safari park in Nihonmatsu, Fukushima Prefecture is disgusting. I go there because it has a motor racing facility integrated into the grounds. I always feel sick watching the malnourished white tiger pacing back and fourth in his enclosure, roughly the size of an 8 tatami mat room. I was somewhat impressed with Ueno Zoo, however.

Sounds like he was driving like every jiichan/baachan does out here in Gunma.

Do any of you actually watch F1. Hamilton is a driver of immense talent, who takes the necessary risks to win.

I know the British have a "Tall Poppy Syndrome" but this is rediculous.

Oh and by the way, If I was being taxed 60% for being successful, I'd leave too.
