Hopefully these little guys will be independent and do some real journalism for a change; not just regurgitate each others opinions as truth. Might even give the people a chance to make informed decisions about what really matters rather what really matters to Uncle Rupert and his kind.

Torafusu Torasan... almost correct, there has been an election and the NEW hardline has come from TONY ABBOTT not Rudd. Tony essentially came to power based on a scare campaign about these boat people.. Not the first time this side of the government has used these unfortunates ... Tampa bay tragedy where the Howard Government showed falsified footage of children in rough seas (was another ship sinking) accusing the people on board the Tampa of throwing the children overboard to force a rescue... stirred up the red necks and kept the Liberals in power when they were almost out the door.

Tamarama... not even close "The Manus island riots are most likely linked to the fact that the people will not be settled in Australia, although there have been reports that the conditions in the camp is poor."... there have been reports on SBS new service of phone calls from the detention center. there seems to be issues with the PRIVATE security service SG4 and the local PNG security being heavy handed and attacking the detainees. (Think bored men who have been caught on face book making obscene and abusive commentary about the people they are paid to protect)

My money is on people held in horrendous conditions suffering with limited resources and no idea of whats happening with their application as a refugee being treats like animals by meat head guards who couldnt hold a job anywhere else...

Look boys and girls... Got nothing to do with Boeing V's Airbus As much as QANTAS says it wasn't maintenance it WAS... they HAVE been cutting and cutting on maintenance... once a proud safe airline...as an Ozzie I wont fly on QANTAS or the even worse poor off-shoot JetStar...

But then again for the next 6 months maintenance on QANTAS will be almost perfect...all of the maintenance contractors will actually do the work they are required to do... until we all forget it

OK Coke~a~Cola admitted in the 80's NEW Coke wasn't as good as old Coke, so they want back to the old Coke we all love. Come on guys if one of the worlds largest soft drink makers can make a mistake... then so can you... GO back!!!
