However, after experiencing a magnitude 3 shake all the way in Hiroshima last night, we have decided that it is too frightening for us to visit Kyushu just now. God willing, we will come again when things are more stable. I pray that Nature will be gentler with Japan.

My condolences to those who have suffered in this earthquake. I hope the worst is over.
I'd be glad of advice though. I'm travelling through Japan with my elderly mother at the moment and am headed for Nagasaki and Kitakyushu in less than a week. We have no experience with earthquakes, and are quite concerned about being on the same island. Is it safe to travel to other parts of Kyushu?
